Exclusive: New York’s Irish Repertory Theatre has announced an upcoming online run of four plays, becoming what could be Off Broadway’s first summer season created specifically for virtual viewing. Included in the line-up is the world premiere of Darren Murphy’s short play The Gifts You Gave to the Dark, with characters affected by the Covid-19 pandemic.
Like all Broadway and most Off Broadway theaters, Irish Rep is under shutdown due to the coronavirus pandemic. Nearly all New York venues have been dark since mid-March.
Announced today by artistic director Charlotte Moore and producing director Ciarán O’Reilly, Irish Rep’s first online summer season will feature three of the company’s more popular recent productions reimagined for the screen and filmed remotely – Yes! Recently, CBS served up the new,official synopsis/spoilers for their upcoming "Blue Bloods" episode 6 of season 6. The episode is entitled, "Rush To Judgement," and it turns out that we're going to see some very interesting stuff go down as Jamie sparks up a Five-o investigation on him after getting caught possibly doing some illegal stuff on camera, and more. In the new,6th episode press release: Internal Affairs Investigates Jamie After He's Caught On Camera Committing What Could Be Perceived As Police Brutality, On "Blue Bloods," Friday, Oct. 30. Press release number 2: When Jamie will get caught on camera committing what could be construed as police brutality at an anti-policy demonstration, Frank will be forced to turn the case over to Internal Affairs. Also, Danny and Baez are going to investigate a rape case involving a civil rights attorney who claims the charges were drummed up in retaliation for the investigation into Jaime.

New York — Actress and producer Trudie Styler, the better half of pop singer Sting, will star this fall in a new off-Broadway adaptation of Anton Chekhov's "The Seagull."
Producers said Wednesday that Styler will portray the fading actress Irina Arkadina in the Culture Project's version of the classic work adapted by Thomas Kilroy and directed by Max Stafford Clark. This version will be set in late 19th century Ireland.
The rest of the cast includes Rufus Collins, Alan Cox, Stella Feehily, Slate Holmgren, Rachel Spencer Hewitt, Ryan David O'Byrne, Amanda Quaid, Tim Ruddy and Kenneth Ryan.
Previews begin Oct. 3 and opening night is set for Oct. 13.
Styler's acting career began with the Royal Shakespeare Company and she made regular appearances on British TV during the 1980s as well as in many film roles. Her acting credits include the BBC series "Love Soup" and the film "The Next Three Days" with Russell Crowe.
