Comedian and Saturday Night Live castmember Michael Che was criticized on social media for Instagram and Facebook posts reacting to a viral video about street harassment. While the posts linked to on Che's Twitter account appear to be deleted, several news outlets, including Salon and Business Insider, captured screenshots and published them in critical stories about the comedian. Michael Che, who co-anchors the Weekend Update desk on Saturday Night Live, received backlash after weighing in on the viral New York city catcalling video.
Michael Che On Catcalling
Che was among the many who watched Shoshana B. Roberts' 10 Hours Of Walking In NYC As A Woman viral video. His reaction was one shared by many men – and some women – who had watched it: What's wrong with saying hi? On Facebook, Che wrote:
"i wanna apologize to all the women that ive harrassed with statements like “hi” or “have a nice day” or “youre beautifuli cant imagine what that must feel like. the closest thing I’ve experienced is maybe when a girl recognizes me from tv and they say things like “Ahhhh!! Oh My God!! SNL SNL SNL!! Take A Picture!! Take A Picture!! I Love You So Much!! Whats Your Name Again?! Thank You!! Thank You!! Wait Say Something Funny!

It may be difficult to absorb the level of harassment women have to put up with in public on a daily basis until it is actually witnessed firsthand - which is exactly what this video offers. Rob Bliss of Rob Bliss Creative reached out to street harassment awareness group Hollaback! in August 2014 with an intriguing offer: He volunteered to walk around in front of actress Shoshana B. Roberts with a camera in his backpack for 10 hours to document the on-the-street harassment she faced on a daily basis. (Roberts held two microphones in her hands to capture the audio.) The resulting video is … not pleasant.

The Usda replaced the food pyramid with a new nutritional icon called MyPlate. Foodies and nutritionists, from Padma Lakshmi to the South Beach Diet creator, weigh in on the redesign.
The Usda unveiled its new food pyramid on Thursday, and as it turns out, it's not a pyramid at all. The decades old nutritional icon has been replaced with an easier-to-understand symbol: a plate, divided into sections for fruits, vegetables, grains, protein, and dairy. The new symbol has been in development for two years and comes with a new website: choosemyplate.gov.

Why the change? Agricultural Secretary Tom Vilsack said the old pyramid was accurate, but too complex to be useful. First Lady Michelle Obama, who helped reveal "MyPlate," said, "Parents don't have the time to measure out exactly three ounces of chicken or to look up how much rice or broccoli is in a serving.
