- Oskar Schindler was born on April 28, 1908 in Zwittau, Moravia, Austria-Hungary [now Svitavy, Czech Republic]. He was married to Emilie Schindler. He died on October 9, 1974 in Hildesheim, Lower Saxony, Germany.
