Pauly Shore once again addressed his in-development Richard Simmons biopic that has become a hot topic.
“I’m also gonna be starring in the Richard Simmons biopic…whether he likes it or not, Richard,” Shore said at his Netflix Is a Joke show at the Comedy Store Friday night in Los Angeles. “Just another fucking bump in my fucking road.”
Shore’s hour-and-a-half comedy set recounted his life story with a particular focus on growing up in Los Angeles with parents Sammy Shore and Mitzi Shore who co-founded the Comedy Store.
While the bulk of the set detailed his childhood through to the time he spent on MTV and even at the Playboy Mansion, at the very end he jumped to the present to talk about his current life stage and achievements and to briefly address the ongoing biopic situation.
The comment comes after a string of social media back-and-forths...

A father and daughter have accused movie star and comedian Pauly Shore of assault and battery for allegedly encouraging security members to attack the father, who was visiting the Los Angeles comedy club The Comedy Store in 2022.
The plaintiffs named in the lawsuit are Sean Kehoe and his daughter Kirra Lyn Potts, who say security personnel “violently grabbed and attacked” Kehoe during an incident that took place on Nov. 30, 2022. The legal document also states Kehoe sustained “severe injuries” after the members dragged him. The alleged attacked resulted in Potts undergoing “mental and emotional distress” and “extreme mental anguish” because she witnessed her father being assaulted.
The two also claim in the lawsuit, a copy of which TheWrap obtained, that the comedian was fully aware, prior to the act, and “agreed with and encouraged” the security team to follow through with the attack. They claim that he is responsible for staff...

Shecky Greene, the legendary Las Vegas headliner and stand-up comedian who entertained audiences for years while battling demons that included stage fright, alcoholism, prescription-drug abuse and gambling, died Sunday. He was 97.
Greene died on New Year’s Eve of natural causes at his home in Las Vegas, his wife of 41 years, Marie Musso Greene, told the Las Vegas Review-Journal.
He also was known for his dozens of appearances on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson, where he served as an occasional guest host.
Greene’s garrulous act in the 1950s and ‘60s helped transform the hotel lounge into another place for patrons to be entertained, turning Vegas into a 24-hour party town. His specialty was improvisation, and he could take virtually any situation and make it funny.

In 1956, Elvis Presley was a massively successful performer, but he also put on one of his worst-ever concerts in Las Vegas. He put on his first sit-down show at the New Frontier Hotel, a decision that ended up being a mistake. It didn’t take long for the crowd to turn on Elvis and for him to grow fed up with the concert situation.
Elvis did not enjoy an early performance in Las Vegas
In 1956, Elvis arrived in Las Vegas to perform two weeks of shows at the New Frontier Hotel. Elvis was still early enough in his career to have not yet played a sit-down show. Still, he was incredibly popular. It didn’t seem like it when he took the stage, though.
According to author Peter Guralnick in the book Last Train to Memphis: The Rise of Elvis Presley, you could hear a “pin drop” when Elvis began playing “Heartbreak Hotel.

Nikolaus “Niki” Lauda, the Austrian Formula One racing legend whose rivalry with British driver James Hunt during the 1970s inspired the Ron Howard film “Rush,” died Monday from undisclosed causes. He was 70.
“His unique successes as a sportsman and entrepreneur are and remain unforgettable,'” Lauda’s family said in a statement. “His tireless drive, his straightforwardness and his courage remain an example and standard for us all. Away from the public gaze he was a loving and caring husband, father and grandfather. We will miss him very much.”
Born in 1949, Lauda entered a racing career despite the disapproval of his family. His determination to succeed as a racer was such that in 1971, finding his career stalled, Lauda took out a £30,000 bank loan to buy his way into a team. His big break came three years later when he was invited to join the Ferrari team, kicking off a decade-long...

Pauly Shore's father has brushed off allegations the star's brother has been mistreating their mother - dismissing the claims as a "family feud."
The Encino Man actor has filed a lawsuit accusing his sibling of improperly caring for their ill mum Mitzi, who suffers from Parkinson's Disease.
But Sammy Shore, who is Mitzi's husband and Pauly and Peter's father, is adamant the claims are false.
He tells RadarOnline.com, "No, it's not true, (Peter)'s taking care of (Mitzi). I don't wonder if she's safe, I know she’s safe."
Pauly has also alleged Peter has been mismanaging their Los Angeles comedy club, which was founded by their mother.
But Sammy is adamant the fall out over their business venture is nothing more than a brotherly disagreement.
He adds, "When there is a family business there's always gonna be problems. This law suit is just a family feud. It will be over in a few weeks, I'm sure of it."
