Big Brother co-executive producer, Suzie Smith, has branded other reality TV shows such as Made In Chelsea, as “unreal”.
Speaking to the Daily Star, Smith added that similar shows such as Geordie Shore and The Only Way Is Essex are in fact “scripted” whereas Big Brother airs footage of genuine and unscripted dialogue.
She said, “They have real people but often not in real situations.
‘‘Big Brother is the only show that is raw and unscripted.
“We have got real people living in real situations, which is more gripping.
“We let people do what they want and we edit it as justly as possible.”
However Suzie admitted, “I’m addicted to Made In Chelsea but it’s a different kind of TV to Big Brother…
“The makers have taken the concept of Big Brother and moved it on.
“It’s just as valid and exciting, though.”
