Charlie Cox’s return to the MCU was first announced during the 2022 San Diego Comic-Con. Daredevil: Born Again got an official confirmation at the event and the filming of the series began before the Hollywood strikes put a halt to the production. During the strikes, Marvel Studios reconsidered the creative direction and overhauled the entire series with new directors and showrunner.

Since 2021, Charlie Cox's Matt Murdock and Vincent D'Onofrio's Kingpin of Crime have shown up in various MCU TV shows.
We've seen the Man Without Fear in Spider-Man: No Way Home, She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, and Echo, with Wilson Fisk appearing in the latter and Hawkeye. However, these two haven't shared the screen since Daredevil wrapped up on Netflix six years ago.
That's set to change in Disney+'s Daredevil: Born Again and, in an interview with TV Insider, D'Onofrio revealed that the revival originally featured no significant links to Daredevil.
"It originally wasn’t going to be at all, but now it’s a lot," the actor said of crossovers between the two. Cox chimed in to say there's now "a lot" of them, presumably meaning Foggy Nelson, Karen Page, Bullseye, and The Punisher were M.I.A. in the previous iteration of Born Again.

Last year, a creative overhaul saw The Punisher's Dario Scardapane replace Matt Corman and Chris Ord as Daredevil: Born Again's showrunner. Now, all signs point to the Marvel Studios series delivering the take on the Man Without Fear we've been waiting to see in the MCU.
TV Line caught up with Charlie Cox and Vincent D'Onofrio at the Upfronts in New York yesterday and asked the former whether the retooling has brought Matt Murdock and Wilson Fisk more in line with Netflix's Daredevil.
"Not exactly the same, but much closer," Cox teased. "And potentially much improved."
D'Onofrio added, "It’s hard to comment because I want to say so much about both the [Netflix] show and this show, and the change that happened, but in the end, the last few months of work we did was written beautifully and directed beautifully. Personally, I think it’s as intense as we’ve ever been.

Charlie Cox and Vincent D’Onofrio have been locked in to reprise the roles of hero Matt Murdock / Daredevil and villain Wilson Fisk / Kingpin, characters they originally played on the Marvel-inspired Netflix series Daredevil, on the Disney+ series Daredevil: Born Again ever since Marvel and Disney+ started pushing the show forward. When their supporting cast was being assembled at the end of 2022, it was announced that Sandrine Holt (American Gigolo) had signed on to appear on the show as a love interest to the Fisk – with the word being that she was taking over the role of his wife Vanessa Marianna Fisk, who had previously been played by Ayelet Zurer on the Netflix show. Apparently there had been scheduling issues with Zurer, who said she was “sad to not take part” in the new series… which, at the time, wasn’t meant to line up with the Netflix show perfectly. Daredevil: Born Again has gone through several changes following its creative overhaul in late 2023. From getting Dario Scardapane, Justin Benson, and Aaron Moorhead onboard to lead the series, and bringing back Karen and Foggy, to the recent return of Ayelet Zurer as Vanessa Fisk, the show went through numerous favorable changes. However, it looks like this revamp has also concerned the fans about some characters being written off from the show.

‘Daredevil: Born Again’ has been a hot topic among MCU fans lately, thanks to both their excitement and the rocky road of its production. From issues like the SAG-AFTRA strike to clashes in vision between the showrunners and the studio, it’s been quite the journey.
However, it’s been revealed that the new version of the series will closely follow the original Netflix show, with many familiar faces returning. Charlie Cox is set to reprise his role as Daredevil, Vincent D’Onofrio returns as Wilson Fisk/Kingpin, and Jon Bernthal will once again portray Frank Castle, aka the Punisher. Other returning actors include Margarita Levieva as Heather Glenn, Michael Gandolfini as Daniel Blade, Genneya Walton as Bb Urich, Clark Johnson as Cherry, Arty Froushan as Buck Cashman, and Zabryna Guevara as Sheila Rivera. Deborah Ann Woll is also back as Karen Page, alongside Elden Henson reprising his role as Franklin “Foggy” Nelson.

‘Daredevil: Born Again’ is one of the most talked-about upcoming MCU projects, partly due to the fan-fueled hype and partly due to its turbulent production that’s been plagued with everything from SAG-AFTRA strike to creative differences in what the showrunners wanted and what the studio wanted.
Later it was announced that the new version of the show would be more akin to the continuation of the original Netflix series, with many actors reprising their roles. Carlie Cox will return to reprise his role as Daredevil, and D’Onofrio will reprise his role as Wilson Fisk/Kingpin. Jon Bernthal will portray Frank Castle, aka the Punisher. Did anybody call for a lawyer?
We can barely contain our excitement about the news that Disney+ is bringing back Daredevil in a bid to reignite the character for Phase 5 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
The glimpses of Matt Murdock that we got on Echo and Spiderman: No Way Home were great, but we have missed this tortured, hopeless do-gooder and his heart of gold.
At the risk of sounding like a superfan (guilty), this Marvel nerd has faithfully watched everything that has led up to this moment, hoping for an eventual Daredevil return.
Now that it's actually happening, there's a lot to cover -- let's dive in.

Exclusive: Netflix has picked up hit Israeli drama A Body that Works, which has sold to nearly 100 territories.
Last year’s top-rated Israeli drama, according to seller Keshet International (Ki), has been acquired by the streamer in Europe, Latin America and the U.S., as well as non-exclusively in Israel. It is the latest boon for the fruitful relationship between Netflix and Israeli networks, which has seen the streamer bring local hits like Shtisel to the world.
Elsewhere, A Body that Works has sold to AMC Networks International in Portugal and Spain, CBC in Canada and Sbs in Australia, while selling in a further 19 territories.
Starring Rotem Sela (The Baker and the Beauty) and Yehuda Levi (Fire Dance) as a childless couple who enlist the help of a surrogate (Gal Malka), the intimate drama – which also stars Lior Raz (Fauda) – stimulated national debate in Israel about fertility, family, and the autonomy of women’s bodies.

“Shtisel” star Ayelet Zurer is set to lead a new Israeli drama titled “The Best Worst Thing.”
In the new show Zurer plays Dr Amalia Levi, a breast cancer specialist who finds a suspicious lump in her chest. As she begins her own breast cancer journey, this time as a patient, she is unexpectedly joined by Micha Hadad (Amos Tamam), a male politician who has also just been diagnosed.
“As they embark on a shared treatment journey together, fuelled by hope and fear, they discover they have more in common than a disease,” reads the logline. “Under the shadow of a ticking clock, Amalia and Micha discover that the worst thing that could possibly happen to them is also the best thing that has ever happened to them.”
The eight-part series, which will premiere on Feb. 19 in Israel on local network Keshet 12, was created by Rona Tamir, Tal Granit, and Sharon Maymon.

In case it wasn't already clear by now, Marvel Studios is doubling down on its connections to the Marvel Netflix universe of streaming shows. Next up on the reunion tour for "Daredevil: Born Again"? The Devil of Hell's Kitchen imposter known as Bullseye, portrayed by Wilson Bethel in season 3 of "Daredevil." Daredevil: Born Again’s Production Update To Cast & Release Date; Here’s Everything We Know!(Photo Credit –Facebook)
Charlie Cox’s Daredevil got a second chance when it appeared in 2021’s Spider-Man: No Way Home as the fans appreciated and praised him. After the 2021 MCU film, the fans demanded to bring him back and his version of Matt Murdock. Cox reprised his role again in the Disney+ series She-Hulk: Attorney at Law. Besides Cox’s character’s return, the brutal villain from the Netflix series, Kingpin, played by Vincent D’Onofrio, also returned in his glorious self in the series Hawkeye. Marvel finally gave what the fans anticipated; they announced plans to revive the Netflix series and titled it Daredevil: Born Again.
The studio reportedly announced it at the 2022 San Diego Comic-Con, and they described the upcoming series as the fourth season. The show started in 2015 and ran for three seasons.

Growing up watching performers like Ayelet Zurer and Natalie Portman, Hollywood actress Inbar Lavi fell in love with acting. As a child, she concluded she would become a professional actor and started working towards her dream. She began her career on stage in the mid-2000s, performing in various off-Broadway productions. Before the decade ran out, she made her screen debut as Shalev in Synonymous, a 2008 short drama written and directed by Scott J. Drucker. That was also the year she appeared as Fiona in the “All About Honesty” episode of The CW’s Privileged. Inbar Lavi has come a long...

‘Daredevil: Born Again’ is, for a good number of reasons, one of the most anticipated MCU projects at this moment and probably the most anticipated MCU series. We all know that Charlie Cox’s Daredevil debuted in the Netflix original series ‘Daredevil,’ which ran for three seasons and received critical acclaim, with many still considering it one of the best superhero television series ever created. After the series ended and the rights were reverted to Marvel Studios, the fans started an online campaign to bring Cox’s Daredevil back for more.
The last season of Netflix’s ‘Daredevil’ was released in 2018, and fans waited three years for the return of Charlie Cox, who returned as Matt Murdock in ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ and Vincent D’Onofrio, who returned as Wilson Fisk/Kingpin in ‘Hawkeye.’

Tom Hanks has engaged in a few love scenes in his long and historic career. But some of his love scenes were cut in one of his biggest films, which somewhat disappointed the star.
How Tom Hanks responded to his love scenes being cut Tom Hanks | Taylor Hill/FilmMagic
Some of Hanks’ biggest movies were the Da Vinci Code films. Hanks played the lead in the series’ three movies, including the second film in the trilogy Angels & Demons. But some noticed that the movie was missing a few love scenes that were supposed to be included. In a 2009 interview with Parade, Hanks explained why his love scenes with co-star Ayelet Zurer couldn’t make the film.
“We really don’t have time to make out or go to bed when Cardinals are being killed on the hour. We tried to work it into the screenplay over and over again,...

Filming for Marvel’s Daredevil: Born Again series is shutting down again because of complications brought on by the WGA writers’ strike. The highly-anticipated series needs to roll cameras at Silvercup East in New York. However, that’s where the primary picketing location for WGA members stands its ground. The latest pause for Disney+’s Daredevil series follows a previous shutdown when members of the Teamster Local 817 and IATSE Locals 829 and 52 would not cross the line.
Daredevil: Born Again is three months into an 8-month filming schedule. With the strike disrupting an already tight itinerary, Daredevil might not reach fans for quite some time.
Charlie Cox reprises his role as Matt Murdoch/Daredevil for the series. The actor officially rejoined the Marvel Cinematic Universe in Spider-Man: No Way Home and She-Hulk: Attorney at Law. Vincent D’Onofrio will return as Wilson Fisk/Kingpin, with Jon Bernthal returning as The Punisher.

A few months ago, it was announced that Sandrine Holt (American Gigolo) had joined the cast of the Marvel / Disney+ series Daredevil: Born Again, where she’s playing Vanessa Fisk, a character who was played by Ayelet Zurer in the Netflix Daredevil series. Daredevil: Born Again is currently in production, but Holt has managed to fit another interesting project into her schedule: Deadline reports that Holt has signed on to play a role in writer/director David Cronenberg’s new thriller The Shrouds.
Holt joins Vincent Cassel (who worked with Cronenberg on Eastern Promises and A Dangerous Method), Diane Kruger (Inglourious Basterds), and Guy Pearce (Memento) in the cast.

Daredevil: Born Again is gearing up to start shooting in New York later this month and THR has reported that Marvel Studios has tapped Michael Cuesta to direct the first episode.
Michael Cuesta has some major pilots under his belt, as he directed the opening episodes for Dexter and Homeland. Cuesta has also helmed episodes of Six Feet Under, True Blood, Blue Bloods, Elementary, Billions, and City on a Hill. Sources told THR that Michael Cuesta is only directing the opening episode of Daredevil: Born Again as other directors are being lined up for the rest of the season. Setting the stage for a new series is an important gig, and I’m sure Michael Cuesta will get Daredevil: Born Again off on the right foot. Are there any sweeter words in the age of too much TV than “limited series?” It’s a category that guarantees minimal time commitment with maximum return — be it weekly watercooler gossip or a delicious binge. The limited series is the perfect hybrid between a movie and a longer-running TV series, with intricate stories, complex characters, and just the right amount of moving parts. The fact that a series will not return makes the narrative precious and the ending paramount, even if that means leaving things deliberately open-ended. This one-off nature makes them perfect for literary adaptations, epic events, and period pieces.
What doesn’t qualify? Those that started as limited series but then blew up enough to get a second season. We’ve also limited (ha!) ourselves to scripted for now, since Ken Burns will probably deserve his own ranking down the line, once he slows down and we...

Turkey’s Ogm Pictures has acquired remake rights to produce a local-language adaptation of Shtisel, the hit Israeli television drama carried on Netflix in the U.S.
The Turkish show, Ömer, will track the same basic plot as the Israeli original, which follows Akiva Shtisel (Michael Aloni), a bachelor living in Jerusalem’s ultra-Orthodox Mea Shearim neighborhood with his aging father, who meets an older widow, Elisheva (Ayelet Zurer), living with her 10-year-old son. But the Turkish version will move the setting to the country’s ultra-Orthodox Muslim community.
“Shtisel is a very unique format that can be adapted to almost every culture and religion,” said Ogm Pictures founder Onur Guvenatam. “So we are very excited to present Ömer in harmony with our culture and traditions.”

The cast of Daredevil: Born Again is expanding.
Deadline revealed this week that Revenge alum Margarita Levieva has been added to the cast as a possible love interest for Charlie Cox's Matt Murdock.
Sandrine Holt has also landed a role that will see her star opposite returning star Vincent D'Onofrio.
While details remain scarce about what this show will be about, the casting announcements appear to be ramping up.
It was revealed earlier this month that Michael Gandolfini was joining the series in an undisclosed role.
The Marvel Cinematic Universe likes to keep fans in suspense, and given that Daredevil: Born Again will be a part of the fifth phase of the MCU, it's understandable that more information is not available.

Moonhaven is now not returning to AMC+ for a second season after all. The streaming service has reversed the decision made in July to renew the futuristic thriller series. At the time, AMC Networks said that it was the most-watched AMC+ exclusive series. The show's cancellation is reportedly due to dramatic cost-cutting moves at AMC Networks.
Starring Emma McDonald, Dominic Monaghan, Amara Karan, Ayelet Zurer, Joe Manganiello, Kadeem Hardison, and Yazzmin Newell, the sci-fi series was created by Peter Ocko. It's set 100 years into the future at a colony on the moon.

AMC+ has canceled its sci-fi series “Moonhaven,” with the subscription video streaming service reversing its decision just four months ago to renew it for a second season.
The second season from creator and showrunner Peter Ocko was set to span six episodes and return to AMC+ in 2023. The cancellation comes amid programming write-downs and “large-scale layoff” at AMC Networks.
Upon its renewal in July, Dan McDermott, president of entertainment and AMC Studios for AMC Networks, said in a statement, “This is such an engaging and entertaining series, brilliantly conceived and run by Peter. The story is suspenseful, provocative and prescient, and features a phenomenal cast that delivers mesmerizing performances. What Peter and the team are crafting for Season 2 is next level, and the fans will be thrilled.”

The moon colony is closing down as AMC+ will not proceed with a second season of Moonhaven. Word of the cancellation comes four months after the dystonic sci-fi series was renewed for a second season and days after AMC Networks announced sweeping cost-cutting measures as CEO Christina Spade stepped down, which included laying off 20 of its U.S. staff, and write-downs for up to 475 million as it restructures its business. Is Law & Order: Svu‘s “will-they-won’t-they” relationship between Benson and Stabler about to hit the next level? That’s what fans are hoping for after a tease from the show’s executive producer. Long-time viewers of the Dick Wolf crime-drama know Mariska Hargitay‘s Captain Olivia Benson has feelings for her former partner Detective Elliot Stabler (Christopher Meloni). However, those feelings have never been spoken out loud… until now. “I don’t ask a lot but can you at least tell us if Liv will mention to Someone. She’s in love with Stabler? Maybe Rollins before she leaves?” a fan asked exec producer Julie Martin on Twitter. Surprisingly, Martin responded directly with some great news. “She will talk to Rollins about her feelings for Stabler in Episode 9, Dec 8th,” Martin replied. This comes after last week’s Law & Order: Organized Crime episode, where Agent Tia Leonetti...
