- Prince William Arthur Philip Louis Mountbatten-Windsor was born on June 21, 1982 to King Charles III and Princess Diana, Prince and Princess of Wales. At his birth, he became second in line to the throne of the United Kingdom, after his father. His early life was spent living in London in Kensington Palace. When he was four and a half, he started nursery school at the Mrs. Maynard Acadamy. Aged eight, he went to Wetherby School, then to a boarding school called Ludgrove, which is about 25 miles from London. When he was 10, his parents separated and they divorced when he was 14. Aged 13, he started at Eton College, an all boys school near Windsor, in Berkshire, and close to Windsor Castle, the home of his grandmother. On August 31, 1997 William was woken up with the news that his mother had died in a car-crash in Paris. Since her death, he has been very protective of his younger brother, Harry, now a cadet at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst. Prince William is due to join him in 2006, having graduated from the University of St. Andrews with an Upper Second Class Degree in History of Art. With the Death of Queen Elizabeth II on September 8 2022 Prince William became the first in the line to the throne of the United Kingdom, after his father King Charles III and the new Prince of Wales, Duke of Cornwall & Cambridge. If William becomes King, it is not known what title he might take, but it is likely to be William V.- IMDb Mini Biography By: lunchtime_obooze

- When he was young, it was an unofficial rule that he could not fly in the same plane as his father because an accident might take the lives of two future kings. The sovereign must give permission for two heirs to fly on the same plane, which was occasionally granted.
- Almost dropped out of university until Catherine Princess of Wales convinced him he needed it. She always treated him like any other student, which is just what he wanted. They used to sing karaoke together. He also did all of his own shopping as a student.
- Needed the permission of his grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II, to wed before his 25th birthday. (If it wasn't granted, he could still marry if he informed Parliament of his intentions and they didn't object after a year.).
- William gave his mother's engagement ring to Catherine Princess of Wales. He proposed on the slopes of Mount Kenya. He did not ask Michael Middleton's approval to marry Catherine prior to his official proposal of marriage in Kenya, just in case Michael said no. (Refer to William and Catherine's engagement interview.).
- Is fluent in French and Latin. Also speaks some Spanish, and learned to speak Welsh in anticipation of becoming Prince of Wales.
- (about becoming King) I am worried about it, but I don't really think about it too much because there's no point in worrying about things which are not really present yet. It's not that I never want to do it, it's just that I'm reluctant at such a young age to throw myself in at the deep end.
- [why he gave Catherine Princess of Wales his mother's engagement ring] She (Princess Diana) can't share in any of the fun and excitement of it all. This was my way of keeping her close to it.
- The thing is with me, I look on the brighter side of everything. There's no point being pessimistic or being worried about too many things because frankly life's too short.
- She (Diana) understood more than any other Royal that the press can be wooed over if you know how.
- The last thing I want to do is be mollycoddled or wrapped up in cotton wool, because if I was to join the Army, I would want to go where my men went, and I'd want to do what they did. I would not want to be kept back for being precious, or whatever-that's the last thing I would want.
