Spoilers for Jessica Jones season three below, Fyi!
Prepare yourself, because the third and final season of Jessica Jones will leave you with a ton of highly important questions just a few episodes in. Like, why do hot, charming strangers never offer to make me hamburgers in bars? Why can't we all have a friend like Gillian? And was the budget for season three so low that Trish's vigilante "disguise" really had to be a bedazzled beanie from Forever 21 and a lame scarf? Of course, in all seriousness, we also need to discuss season three's incredibly dangerous new villain, Gregory Salinger.
We're first introduced to the character, played by Russian Doll's Jeremy Bobb, when he stabs Jessica in the abdomen outside of her apartment and escapes as she bleeds out in the hall. We later learn that Gregory was initially after Jessica's hookup, Erik (The Choice's...

One of the biggest reasons we're going to miss Jessica Jones, of which there are many, is that the show has always treated its female characters with care. They're fully fleshed-out, realistic, flawed, sympathetic, powerful, and above all, wildly interesting. Though the series mainly revolves around Jessica (Krysten Ritter) and all her complexities as a superhero, lately, the show has been at its most compelling when it's examining her relationships with the women in her life, like Jeryn Hogarth (Carrie-Anne Moss) and her foster sister, Trish Walker (Rachael Taylor).
It's the latter bond that is put to the test for most of season two and into season three, with Trish struggling to accept that 1.) she'll never be as physically powerful as her sister, and 2.) that her views on morality are far more black and white than Jessica's are. This disagreement is at the forefront of their dynamic in season three,...

The following post contains spoilers for the final season of Marvel’s Jessica Jones, up to and including Episode 7.
Marvel’s Jessica Jones has never been one to back down from a fight. But in the drama’s third and final season, there was one confrontation Jessica should have walked away from, according to the woman who portrays her.
In Episode 7, titled “A.K.A The Double Half-Wappinger,” Jessica and estranged sister Trish Walker take a road trip to Wappinger Falls, the small town where this season’s Big Bad — serial killer Gregory Salinger — was raised. Having reached a dead end in Hell’s Kitchen,...

For Marvel’s Jessica Jones, the five stages of grief look a lot like this: whiskey, whiskey, whiskey, whiskey and whiskey. (There’s certainly some anger and denial in there, too — but acceptance is a long way off.)
The Netflix drama dropped its third and final season on Friday, bringing the streamer’s partnership with Marvel TV to an end. And when Season 3 begins, Jessica is trying to process a loss of her own: the recent death of her mother, Alisa Jones, at the hands of ex-bff Trish Walker.

(Warning: The following story contains spoilers about the entirety of “Jessica Jones” season 3)
“Jessica Jones,” which debuted its third and final season on Netflix Friday, gets to do something that no other Marvel/Netflix series got to: Actually craft an ending.
“We didn’t get canceled in the middle of the night as a shock,” star Krysten Ritter told TheWrap. “This show is deeply personal and has been a psychological character study of Jessica Jones. We’ve spent a lot of time with her and I think that this length of storytelling is perfect and fitting.”
By now, it’s known that Netflix pulled the plug on the four-year partnership with Marvel that began with 2015’s “Daredevil” (more on that here), but Ritter said that they were lucky enough to know that their show wasn’t going to continue past its third season. Even before the show began production, it...

Jessica Jones has returned to kick ass for a third and final season, but she's not the only one. In the Marvel series's newest 10 episodes, we see how Trish is coping with the after-effects of the near-fatal experiment she underwent with Dr. Karl Malus in season two. Essentially, she's become a parkour master with the help of some extra powers, which she's using for good as a budding vigilante, following in her foster sister's footsteps. But just in case you forgot how Trish got her powers before diving into season three, we're breaking it down. Just be warned: spoilers for the second and third seasons are ahead!
How Did Trish Get Her Powers in Jessica Jones?

Everyone’s favorite hard-boiled detective (and former superhero - not that she wants to talk about it) is back for one last case. The final Marvel Netflix show, Jessica Jones season 3 is what happens when the our hero learns the hard way to never read the comments.
This Jessica Jones season 3 review is based on the first eight episodes and contains No spoilers.
“You still a hero if nobody thinks you are?” Trish asks Jessica in the first half of Marvel's Jessica Jones season 3. After years of ambivalence about her special powers, and after having lost her mother to her own uncontrollable super-rage, the private eye is reluctantly trying to be the kind of hero her mother envisioned: “someone who gives a shit and does something about it.” Of course, the moment that Jessica decides she wants to give this hero thing a go, every random person with a smartphone is ready to tell her how wrong she is.
While the first two seasons played it closer to the vest with more personal stories,...

Jessica Jones Season 3 will be the final Marvel series to air on Netflix and it was recently revealed that it will premiere next month! There’s no specific date set yet, but it’ll drop sometime in June!
The announcement comes in a tweet shared by Netflix's Nx account which lists several films and shows coming to the streaming service next month and Jessica Jones Season 3 is mentioned at the bottom with a "coming soon" in place of the actual date.
There’s hardly been any kind of marketing or promotion for the final 13 episodes of the series, which I guess makes sense, since the relationship between Marvel and Netflix is over. Marvel is now their competitor with Disney+ and Hulu.
Regardless, I’ve enjoyed the Jessica Jones series and I’m looking forward to seeing the series come to a close with this next season, which will see Jessica...
