Review Of ‘Aadujeevitham-The Goat Life’ (Photo Credit –Facebook)
What’s Good: ‘Aadujeevitham -The Goat Life’ has some serious highlights. First up, Prithviraj Sukumaran kills it as Najeeb Muhammad, nailing the character’s emotional rollercoaster and authoritarian resilience. The cinematography brings the brutal desert terrain and Najeeb’s struggles to life, pulling the audience into his shoes. Plus, the storyline is gripping, and the screenplay is tight, keeping you hooked for the whole three-hour ride. Bottom line: “The Goat Life” delivers a cinematic experience you don’t want to miss.
What’s Bad: While “Aadujeevitham The Goat Life” has many positive aspects, there are also some potential drawbacks. One issue is the exclusion of certain elements from the original novel, which may impact the emotional resonance for viewers,...

Sacha Baron Cohen and Chris Rock had the good sense to arrive early at the Jean-Michel Basquiat Made on Market Street exhibition at the Larry Gagosian Gallery in Beverly Hills.
They surveyed the 30 or so Basquiat art works in relative peace ,before the throng arrived.
Cohen tells me he came straight from writing something “for TV” that might shoot in Los Angeles or in London, he wasn’t sure. Interesting.
There may also be a film. But before anything else he’ll be seen along with Cate Blanchett, Kevin Kline, Lesley Manville and Louis Partridge in Disclaimer, the TV drama thriller Alfonso Cuarón has written and directed for Apple TV+.
Jeffrey Wright at the Basquiat exhibition. Photo Bamigboye/Deadline.
Rock and Cohen had skedaddled with pal Guy Oseary to see Madonna by the time Oscar nominee Jeffrey Wright presented himself at the gallery. It was wholly appropriate that the American Fiction star be there.

Plot: Billie is plagued by blackouts and strange visions that lead her to discover she’s stuck in a series of time loops, possibly related to her mysterious new girlfriend.
Review: Dementia is one of the scariest things I can think of. Losing the ability to access your own memories and being unable to recognize your loved ones is downright awful. So I was really interested when they brought up the concept and seemed like that would be the main idea at play Jagged Mind. I feel silly being so wrong. What starts as an interesting idea with our lead Billy seeing her death over and over, unable to properly comprehend time, swiftly devolves into a near Lifetime movie. Or maybe that was just the lighting.
Knowing that this started as a short film, First Date, (as part of Hulu’s Bite Size Halloween) I can see elements that carried over here.

"You think you're a good man, don't you, Morgan?" Paramount has revealed an official US trailer for the action movie Assassin Club, which will be skipping theaters and debuting on VOD in May. This recently opened in UK cinemas this month, and it already played in a few other countries including Italy and Israel, but they're dropping it at home right away in the US. It doesn't look that great, which is why this all makes sense. This plot sounds like something we've seen many times before: An assassin is given a contract to kill seven people around the world only to discover the targets are also assassins who have been hired to kill him. Starring Henry Golding as Morgan, Daniela Melchior, Noomi Rapace, Sam Neill, Claudio Del Falco, with Jimmy Jean-Louis and Anastasia Doaga. There's not really any impressive glimpses in this trailer, and even the action seems rather dull.

Henry Golding and Noomi Rapace headline this hitman mystery thriller from director Camille Delamarre. Sadly, Assassin Club isn’t going to do either of them any favours and the only mystery about it is how it got made in the first place.
Golding plays Morgan, one of those international assassins who’s quite happy to murder for a living, as long as his targets are certifiable bad guys like drug lords or sex traffickers. He receives his orders from Caldwell (Sam Neill), his handler-slash-mentor, and otherwise enjoys a quiet life with his girlfriend Sophie (Daniela Melchior), a primary school teacher who remains blissfully ignorant of his extra-curricular activities. However, all that changes when Morgan accepts a contract to take out seven international assassins, only to discover...

Detective Knight: Independence completes the trilogy begun in Detective Knight: Rogue and continued in Detective Knight: Redemption. Although not the last of his films to be released, Assassin is slated for release in March, these were the last ones Bruce Willis made before announcing his retirement. So in a sense, it also concludes its star’s career.
The film opens with a bank robbery shot from the Pov of the robbers making it look like a first-person shooter, be sure to get the tie-in edition of Bank Robber Simulator at your local Gamestop. The robbery comes to a bloody end with Detective Knight (Bruce Willis) shooting the last of the gang while he holds a woman hostage.
Also on the scene are paramedics Dezi and Ally.

Detective Knight: Independence is written and directed by Edward Drake starring Bruce Willis and Lochlyn Munro.
Bruce Willis is back in one of his latest successes, repeating the role that made him famous: a police officer.
This sequel is a thriller with some interesting formulas such as the divided screen (a là Brian De Palma), but the story is more traditional, with lots of hand-held camera, realistic photography and a plot that is always as expected.
About the Movie Detective Knight: Independence
We love Bruce Willis and we grew up watching his movies and laughing at his jokes. These last (we repeat) no longer include jokes and, although he is at the head of the cast, is no longer the main character, he is more of a secondary figure, a star to watch in B Series movies, action thrillers that are rather de-caffeinated like this one, have action scenes that,...

"We justice fails, in Knight we trust." Lionsgate has revealed one more trailer for the final film in this action thriller trilogy - this one is called Detective Knight: Independence, from filmmaker Edward Drake. This is the third and final film in the Detective Knight series, all featuring Willis as a Detective. I keep hoping all these bad Bruce Willis movies are done, considering his health, but nope there's always more. Bruce Willis stars as Detective James Knight in this final, tense chapter of the trilogy. Knight's last-minute assignment to the Independence Day shift turns into a race to stop an unbalanced ambulance Emt from ruining the day. The misguided vigilante, playing cop with a stolen gun and uniform, has a bank vault full of reasons to put on his own fireworks show… one that will strike dangerously close to Knight’s home. The cast also includes Jack Kilmer,...

The trailer for the new Bruce Willis action vehicle titled Detective Knight: Rogue has been released by Lionsgate. This film looks to be yet another lower-budgeted direct-to-video release for the action star, except this one might be part of an already shot trilogy? In it, Willis plays a Los Angeles cop that sees an uptick in bank robberies in the city from an elite group of thieves.
The synopsis on the IMDb is what suggests the movie may be the first instalment of a trilogy:
Bruce Willis stars as veteran Detective James Knight, dedicated to navigating the demanding streets of Los Angeles, in this thrilling first of a trilogy of films. As the city prepares for Halloween, mask-wearing armed robbers critically wound Knight’s partner in a shootout following a heist. "I was thinking… what if we try your way." Here we go again, another one of these. Lionsgate has unveiled an official trailer for Detective Knight: Rogue, yet another new Bruce Willis action thriller junk film to skip. Once again, these seem to be never-ending despite the announcement about Bruce Willis' cognitive disorder earlier this year. How many more are there?! Willis stars as veteran Detective James Knight. As Los Angeles prepares for Halloween, mask-wearing armed robbers hit Knight's partner in a shoot out following a heist. With Knight in hot pursuit, the bandits flee from Los Angeles to New York, where the detective's dark past collides with his present case and threatens to tear his world apart… unless redemption can claim Knight first. Also starring Lochlyn Munro, Jimmy Jean-Louis, Corey Large, Michael Eklund, and Johnny Messner. This looks instantly forgettable like always - nothing more than a cops & robbers story.

As in his Sundance title “Woodpeckers” (“Carpinteros”) and his more recent films, Cabral trains his lens on the marginalized in his country. “Parsley” (“Perejil”) is based on the 1937 Perejil Massacre when Dominican dictator Rafael Trujillo ordered the execution of Haitian communities on the country’s border with Haiti. In some cases, soldiers verified the person’s Haitian roots by how they pronounced the word perejil (parsley), where their French-Haitian Creole accents would give them away.
The infamous massacre is seen through the eyes of Marie (Cyndie Lundy) a young Haitian woman, nine months pregnant, whose loving husband Frank (Ramon Emilio Candelario) is a Dominican. Despite the rising racial tensions, she...

Boosting one of the key upcoming titles coming out of Latin America, renowned Haitian-American actor-producer Jimmy Jean-Louis, also an increasing driving force on the Latin American and African production scene, is coming on board to executive produce director José María Cabral’s historic drama “Parsley” (“Perejil”).
In parallel news, New York-based Visit Films is handling world sales rights on the feature, which is set during the 1937 Parsley Massacre, when Dominican dictator Rafael Trujillo ordered the execution of Haitian families and Dominicans of Haitian descent on the country’s frontier with Haiti.
With Cabral in post-production on his next film, the Latido-sold “Hotel Coppelia,” again for Lantica Media, Visit Films will initiate a fall festival campaign for “Parsley.”
“Parsley’s” true-event background is shocking, and little known. “ ‘Parsley’ is a story about human tragedy where race takes the center stage and represents a part of history that needs to be told,...

Netflix’s latest Nigerian Original, “Citation,” is a sobering drama about sexual assault on college campuses, allegedly based on true events. Though hardly the first missive against this widespread problem, it provides a west African angle rarely seen by the rest of the world, told in stark, compelling terms. By depicting an environment where rape culture has been normalized due to oppressive assumptions related gender and sexuality, director Kunle Afolayan delivers
The story centers on smart and determined college student Moremi (Temi Otedola), who accuses celebrated professor Lucien N’Dyare (a charismatic Jimmy Jean-Louis) of sexual assault. Much of the ensuing drama unfolds as an unnerving tribunal, as university authorities listen to testimony from Moremi, N’Dyare, and other witnesses and advocates.
Moremi’s allegations aren’t exactly taken as gospel from the start, as the trial quickly devolves into a he-said-she-said dynamic. Flashbacks reveal Moremi’s life and community,...
