The Challenge stars Wes Bergmann and Theresa Jones are two MTV OGs many fans would love to see return for another installment of the competition series.
Based on recent remarks, they are doubling down on their retirement talk and turning down opportunities to appear on MTV’s show.
Viewers last saw Theresa in the Double Agents season as she teamed up with Jay Starrett.
Wes last appeared on The Challenge: USA 2 as one of the six MTV stars competing against CBS reality TV icons.
With Wes set to appear in the House of Villains 2 cast soon, some fans may have wondered if that had anything to do with his retirement from The Challenge.
With Season 40 filming underway, he set the record straight, suggesting that he has no further intention of appearing on MTV’s version of the show. However, he left the door open for something related to The Challenge.

[Spoiler Alert: Spoilers ahead for The Challenge: All Stars 4, including elimination matchups and the winner.]
The Challenge: All Stars 4 has seemingly concluded filming after six weeks in South Africa. Hosted by long-standing presenter T.J. Lavin, the theme doesn’t force the cast to couple up or compete in teams. Instead, the players alternate between solo, duos, or groups for every daily challenge.
This season reportedly features a variation of the star twist, which required the competitors to earn one by winning an elimination for entry to T.J.’s final. However, in All Stars 3, only six stars are distributed following the first challenge. According to the spoiler account PinkRose, if a player earns a star after winning one, they can steal from someone else and gift it to another competitor of the same gender. Similar to season 1, only one person will walk away as the champion.

Filming for The Challenge: All Stars 4 is reportedly nearing conclusion as spoiler accounts have revealed the final six women remaining in the competition.
Cara Maria Sorbello is among the final six women in ‘The Challenge: All Stars 4’
Known spoiler account PinkRose revealed that the new Og-filled cast flew out to South Africa to begin filming The Challenge spinoff, All Stars 4, around mid-January 2023.
A variation of the skull twist, first introduced in Total Madness, has returned that requires the players to have a star, presumably earned by winning an elimination, to compete in the final. However, the spoiler reports that there aren’t enough stars for anyone, meaning competitors will have to steal others.
Cara Maria and Laurel have successfully steered clear of each other throughout this season but, they can’t avoid each other forever. #TheChallenge34 pic.twitter.com/mzk0YEmCX1

Det. Jet Slootmaekers (Ainsley Seiger) gets in over her head on her first undercover case in Thursday night’s episode, “Punch Drunk,” an exclusive video for which you can watch above.
In this first-look clip shared exclusively with TheWrap, Sgt. Ayanna Bell (Danielle Moné Truitt) tells Jet, the youngest member of the Organized Crime Task Force, that she’s gotten too involved with her target Seamus O’Meara (Michael Malarkey). Something tells me that Jet's undercover stint is a terrible idea.
On Law & Order: Organized Crime Season 3 Episode 12, Jet went back into the field, donning a long black wig and a revealing dress to catch a criminal's eye.
She got her way. Seamus can't stop thinking about her, and he's the right-hand man to the supposedly untouchable killer they're trying to catch. But this could go very wrong very quickly.
Murphy's one of the creepiest villains Organized Crime has had in a while, and Seamus isn't much better.
For a second, Seamus seemed pissed that Jet didn't respond to his flirtation the way he had hoped. And the way he showed up outside when she left the bar gave me stalker vibes.

I don't think lovesick Seamus has any idea that the woman he's fallen hard for is a cop,...

Teck Holmes during The Challenge: All Stars 2 season. Pic credit: Paramount+
With The Challenge: All Stars spinoff show, Og cast members came back to the competition years after their original MTV shows. Some of them even decided to return for the second season of the spinoff.
Among them was the entertaining Teck Holmes, who originally appeared on The Real World: Hawaii and competed in The Challenge 2000 season.
He was eliminated early in The Challenge: All Stars Season 1. Teck returned for Season 2 and reached the final thanks to being part of a powerful alliance. However, he and his teammate had an early exit due to finishing in last place during a leg of the final.
Surprisingly, Teck didn’t return for Season 3, even though the rest of his alliance members did. At least one of them reached the final and had a chance at winning their share of the prize money.
