Talmon Murphy, Jr. was born on January 24th, 1964 in Centre, Alabama, USA. He is a writer, cinematographer, producer, voiceover talent, Audiobook narrator and content creator. Growing up in the deep south during the historic period of civil rights issues, Talmon developed an interest in recording the history of people, places and things through the medium of short stories, photography, audio and video. His dad's love and skill at imitating 60's-70's Variety Show actors, and numerous cartoon characters, led to him doing his original character voices; which was all passed on to Talmon. Whether it was passed by genes, environment, osmosis or a combination of all, Talmon inherited his dad's entertainment and production skills naturally!
Early exposure to the filming of the made for TV movie Kent State (1981) and family stories about his cousin actor Phillip Alford (To Kill A Mockingbird) sparked his interest and cemented Talmon's roots in small town folklore and storytelling.
Talmon has used personal experiences as the foundation for much of his writing and the upcoming projects "Why I Still Don't Hate You" and "This is Me and This is Steve" are two tales that evolved from the real life pain of being raised during racial unrest in rural Alabama, and his personal experience/encounters with Apple co-founder and pop-culture icon Steve Wozniak.
Talmon has been married to Liz Murphy since 1986 and still resides in Alabama.
