Blagoy Shklifov Stefanov is a Bulgarian linguist - researcher final southwestern Bulgarian dialects. Shklifov was born in Kastoria village Chereshnitsa in Aegean Macedonia , today Polikeraso, Greece. His grandfather Nikola (Nicholas) is a participant in the Ilinden uprising as a messenger of the rural detachment. In late April 1948 , during a Greek civil war Blagoy Shklifov put out by Communist forces outside Greece in the group of so-called refugee children . After a brief stay in Vardar Macedonia he was sent to Hungary , where he completed his secondary and later university education in Russian and Bulgarian philology. In 1964 he settled in Sofia , where he recorded a PhD dedicated to the Bulgarian historical phonetics in order to speak Macedonian. In 1969 Shklifov's parents moved in Sofia. From 1971 he worked at the Institute for Bulgarian Language. In the 80th and 90th of the twentieth century he has been a guest lecturer at the University of Szeged , Hungary. He reached disciplines "Historical grammar of the Hungarian language" and "Hungarian Dialectology" at Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski" . He died on September 24, 2003 in Greece after the accident, in unexplained circumstances completely, suspected to have been murdered by the Greek secret services or nationalist organizations.
