There are cliffhangers, and then there are Cliffhangers.
Something so intense that the word has to be split into two.
9-1-1 Season 7 Episode 9 is left on the kind of cliffhanger that leaves you gobsmacked, jaw on the floor, and unable to think rationally. Because what in the hell did we just witness?
The hour felt like heartbreak after heartbreak, which was quite the departure from how things began when everyone was smiling at a medal ceremony that saw the 118 and all their plus ones having a grand old time.
Chief Simpson, the one who didn't even take Hen seriously, got deep in his politician bag while giving the 118 and Tommy medals for their courage and bravery during the cruise ship rescue, and it was a nice sentiment, even if a bit calculated on his part.
Everyone was happy, enjoying their free buffet, cake, and rare afternoon where they could all be together,...

The episode was interspersed with flashbacks from Bobby's childhood, small snippets of a life in Minnesota, which got increasingly volatile and dangerous as his firefighter captain and role model father, Tim Nash, descended into his addiction.

Verdi Productions, run by Chad A. Verdi, Paul Luba, Chad Verdi, Jr.
and Michelle Verdi, plans to release three films in 2024 that were previously put on hold since actors were unable to promote work during the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes.
“Workers in the film industry are getting financially destroyed by these strikes, whether it’s actors, writers, directors or crew. Most of these individuals were already working multiple jobs to get by,” Verdi said in a statement. “This widespread production shutdown didn’t hurt the top 1% in the industry but ruined many people who work week-to-week and paycheck-to-paycheck. It’s very unfortunate to see. Let’s get our union members a fair deal so that they can get back to doing what they love.”

Heavy is the head that wears the holiday crown. Ten movies in, Candace Cameron Bure still feels the pressure to deliver as the shining star of Hallmark Channel's popular Countdown to Christmas programming event. Since 2013 , a new film starring Candace, a.k.a. the Queen of Christmas, as the network itself will proudly tell you, premieres the Sunday of Thanksgiving week. And, year after year, that becomes Hallmark's highest rated movie. So yeah, the pressure is on for The Christmas Contest, her 2021 outing that reunites Candace with her Fuller House co-star John Brotherton, to deliver, both for the network and her loyal fanbase. "I want to produce a great film that people are...

We had the chance to chat with Hallmark's Queen of Christmas, Candace Cameron Bure, and her The Christmas Contest (and Fuller House) costar, John Brotherton, and their off-the-charts chemistry is part of this soon-to-be Hallmark Classic's winning formula.
Unfortunately, in this modern world, sometimes technology lets us down, and all the festive Christmas sweaters in the world couldn't save me when my Zoom recording of our conversation failed.
But there is still good news, even though part of the joy I had hoped to bring to you is up in smoke.
I had a chance to watch The Christmas Contest for review, and I'll sprinkle in some tidbits from the conversation with the stars that live in my mind.

“Fuller House” is getting ready to end its fifth and final season, which means it’s finally time to say goodbye to the Tanner family. And the cast is paying homage to their “Full House” roots in a nostalgia-heavy trailer.
On Tuesday, Netflix released the trailer for the final episodes that will hit the platform on June 2. It’s a walk down memory lane, and viewers can revisit the time when they first met Danny, DJ, Stephanie, Michelle, Uncle Jessy, Joey and Kimmy Gibbler way back in 1987.
The only one missing from the throwback is Lori Loughlin, who played Aunt Becky in the original series and in the first four seasons of the reboot. The actress left the show after she was indicted and pleaded not guilty in the college admissions bribery case.

Exclusive: La-based producer and sales firm Clear Horizon is lining up a historical drama about the Symbionese Liberation Army and its kidnapping of heiress Patty Hearst.
Mizmoon will tell the story of Patricia ‘Mizmoon’ Soltisyk, the radicalized college co-ed who co-founded the terrorist group with her lesbian lover and an escaped convict with an obsession for guns and explosives. The group famously carried out bank robberies and murders in the 1970s and kidnapped heiress Hearst, the granddaughter of American publishing magnate William Randolph Hearst. Soltysik was one of the six Sla members killed in a shootout with the Lapd in the mid 70s.
Clear Horizon founder David Brown, an executive producer on recent Julianne Moore-Michelle Williams adaptation After The Wedding, will make his directorial debut on the project, which he will produce with Cynthia Greening and Todd Lundbohm. Script comes from Greening and Tony Clarno, with revisions by Reinhard Denke.
The project is out to cast. Shoot is scheduled for Los Angeles later this year, cast and Covid-19 permitting. We are told the team is working off material from the public domain so have not needed to acquire life rights.
Patty Hearst and the Sla have spawned multiple screen projects over the years including a 1988 movie directed by Paul Schrader and a 2004 PBS doc by Robert Stone.
Brown recently produced The Undertaker’s Wife starring Shannyn Sossamon and John Brotherton and Chasing Nightmares starring Anne Heche and Graham McTavish.
Brown said, “Not only are we looking to push a number of our projects forward, but we want to get the word out to other filmmakers who have a need for funding or partnerships. We still have our doors open at this time.”...

Saying goodbye to Fuller House is not going to be easy.
Netflix on Friday dropped the trailer for the final season, and it shows the type of pivotal moments you would expect from a show gearing up for its swansong.
There's Stephanie and Jimmy bringing their newborn home from the hospital, D.J. and Steve questioning whether it's time to get married, and lots of other goodies for fans.
Now, you may be questioning just how big that beautiful house is, and thankfully, the show is addressing that.
“There’s gonna be a lot of people in this house,” Ramona says during the two-minute clip.
“You know, legally, if three more people move in, we have to register as a commune.”
Okay then.
What we do know is that the show is bringing back Bob Saget as Danny Tanner, John Stamos as Jesse Katsopolis, and Dave Coulier as Joey Gladstone as guest stars.

The weather was beautiful in St. Louis today, but the tranquil was shattered when terrified St. Louisans spotted the bloody killer drone from the new horror film The Drone hovering about our city! It may have killed a few people (we’re not sure). We Are Movie Geeks was able to get these shots of the drone as it took its deadly aim! The Remote Has No Control!
We spotted The killer drone at The Arch, St. Louis University, Union Station, The Art Museum, The History Museum, The Bevo Mill, The Ferris Wheel, The Fox Theater, Grandel Square, Anheuser Buch Brewery, Art Hill and in front of the St. Louis Statue. We’re not sure where it went from there, but we’re pretty sure death and carnage followed!
From the producer of Unfriended and Searching comes the satirical horror film The Drone, arriving on DVD, Digital, and On Demand October 15 from Lionsgate.

Right so we’ve got a serial killer into black magic. Child’s Play anyone? Then we’ve got director Jordan Rubin, the man behind horror spoof Zombeavers. And we have a drone. Yes, a drone. So what do we have in film though? Well, one of the funniest genre parodies to hit screens in years!
The Drone tells the story of serial killer The Violator who, just before the police break into his home to arrest him, invokes black magic and downloads his soul into the commercial drone he used to stalk victims.
