Worlds collide in “The Flash” when Barry uses his superpowers to travel back in time in order to change the events of the past. But when his attempt to save his family inadvertently alters the future, Barry becomes trapped in a reality in which General Zod has returned, threatening annihilation, and there are no Super Heroes to turn to. That is, unless Barry can coax a very different Batman out of retirement and rescue an imprisoned Kryptonian… albeit not the one he’s looking for. Ultimately, to save the world that he is in and return to the future that he knows, Barry’s only hope is to race for his life. But will making the ultimate sacrifice be enough to reset the universe?

Warner Bros. Pictures and DC’s The Flash, which hit theaters in June, now has a date for its streaming debut on Max: the superhero pic starring Ezra Miller will bow Friday, August 25.
The film, in which Miller reprised his role as Barry Allen in the superhero’s first stand-alone pic, was highly touted by incoming DC bosses James Gunn and Peter Safran, but it saw a sluggish bow in theaters. It opened to $55.1 million over its first three days domestically, and $64M over the Juneteenth holiday frame. Along with a similarly tepid performance overseas, all those numbers were below expectations for a DC tentpole with a budget of $200M.
The pic, directed by Andy Muschietti, is currently sitting on a $268.5 million global box office total.
Along with Miller, the ensemble cast included Sasha Calle, Michael Shannon, Ron Livingston, Maribel Verdú, Kiersey Clemons, Antje Traue and Michael Keaton.

DC’s latest movie, ‘The Flash,’ was released last month after nine long years of development hell. Although the movie ultimately turned out to be one of the worst box-office failures in the history of this genre, it still got more-or-less decent reviews from fans and more mixed reviews from critics, who praised action sequences and performances but criticized visual effects, and the third act.
Still, the Ezra Miller-starring movie is one of the most unique DC movies to date since it presented itself as some sort of DC’s ‘No Way Home,’ and it featured a ton of cameos, not only from Dceu but from the entire DC Multiverse in general. Although bringing back Christopher Reeve’s Superman via computer-generated imagery sparked controversies, one other Superman that showed up in the movie was Nicolas Cage’s incarnation of the character from a movie that never happened.

‘The Flash’ movie starring Ezra Miller was initially announced in 2014, and after years of development hell and last-minute reshoots due to the change of leadership at DC Studios and the planned soft reboot of the franchise, the movie was finally released last month.
Despite all the hype and James Gunn’s insistence that it’s one of the best DC movies, it suffered a massive commercial failure, grossing only $267 million worldwide against the production budget of $220 million. ‘The Flash’ is one of the biggest box-office bombs of all time, with an estimated loss of $200 million of all time. It’s even worse when you think this movie brought back Michael Keaton, who many fans still consider the best cinematic Batman, to the role after over three decades.
In the movie, Keaton played the older Bruce Wayne, who decided to retire from his crime-fighting career. When Barry Allen and his alternate...

The multiverse is everywhere. It’s all around us and wherever we go, we seem to be getting stuck in it. From multiple Spider-Man movies, a Doctor Strange Movie, and even an Oscar-winning best picture movie, the multiverse is at its peak. It’s no surprise then, that DC get their turn and in doing so have turned to the world’s fastest superhero, so we can watch him race his way through the DC multiverse.
Ezra Miller returns, despite all they’ve done, all they have been charged with, and all they have been accused of, they find themselves on the big screen as Barry Allen once again. This time Barry Allen uses his super speed to change the past.

Director Andy Muschietti has talked about his experience of working with actor Ezra Miller, and the latter’s role as the titular protagonist in ‘The Flash’. The director said: “Meeting Ezra was an incredible experience artistically and creatively. I think it’s one of my best experiences of working with an actor. And I found out he is an incredible comedian too, which is something that I wasn’t expecting,” he said.
Andy said: “Of course, Ezra conveyed the humour of Barry Allen in previous movies, but this was a standalone film, where Ezra’s not only the protagonist, but he also plays two versions of Barry which was incredibly challenging.”
“When you see Ezra doing it, he makes it look so easy. And it was a privilege to collaborate with him and see his incredible talent,” he added.

The Flash director Andy Muschietti is opening up about wanting to work with Ezra Miller again in a potential sequel where they would reprise their role as Barry Allen.
“If [a sequel] happens, yes,” Muschietti said during an appearance on The Discourse podcast (via The Playlist). “I don’t think there’s anyone that can play that character as well as they did. The other depictions of the character are great, but this particular vision of the character, they just excelled in doing it. And, as you said, the two Barrys – it feels like a character that was made for them.”
Miller has been embroiled in multiple scandals. Earlier this year they plead guilty to unlawful trespassing in a burglary case in Vermont after cutting a plea deal ahead of the hearing. Last year, Miller agreed to mental health treatment after a string of run-ins with the law.

Warner Bros. and DC has revealed a new trailer for DC offering ‘The Flash’.
Worlds collide when Barry uses his superpowers to travel back in time in order to change the events of the past. But when his attempt to save his family inadvertently alters the future, Barry becomes trapped in a reality in which General Zod has returned, threatening annihilation, and there are no Super Heroes to turn to. That is unless Barry can coax a very different Batman out of retirement and rescue an imprisoned Kryptonian… albeit not the one he’s looking for. Ultimately, to save the world he is in and return to the future that he knows, Barry’s only hope is to race for his life. But will making the ultimate sacrifice be enough to reset the universe?

Before James Gunn and Peter Safran unleash their new slate of films for the DC Universe, Ezra Miller's superhero is racing our way one last time. And Warner Bros. has just released the final trailer ahead of this summer's anticipated blockbustin' release. "The Flash" is the first stand-alone feature for the scarlet speedster, and by incorporating the 2011 crossover comic "Flashpoint," is all but guaranteed to send the current era of DC films out with a bang.
After using his superpowers to go back in time in an attempt to change history to save his family, Barry Allen/The Flash (Miller) inadvertently royally screws up the future and ends up trapped in an alternate reality where General Zod (Michael Shannon) is back and threatening to take over the world. In a desperate attempt to set things right, The Flash teams up with two different Batman (Batmen?) heroes (Michael Keaton and...

It won’t be long before The Flash races into theaters on June 16, 2023, and WaterTower Music is excited to share the release of “Worlds Collide” and “Run” – the first music for the upcoming film. Created by two-time Grammy and BAFTA-nominated composer Benjamin Wallfisch, both tracks from The Flash soundtrack are available to stream and digitally purchase across multiple platforms. Each song appears in the upcoming The Flash (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack), scheduled for release on June 16.
Via Friday’s official press release:
Wallfisch describes “Worlds Collide” as an important cue – heard at the movie’s climax—which features a new theme representing the meshing/coming together of DC eras past and present.
According to Wallfisch, “Worlds Collide” was “a cue that Andy (Muschietti) and I iterated on—probably over 50 times—to get just right, even as the orchestra was recording it. Andy’s incredibly creative ideas meant adjusting the music and musicians in real time.

Warner Bros. held the first-ever public screening of “The Flash” on Monday night in Las Vegas during CinemaCon 2023, and 24 hours later the social media embargo has expired. And you know what that means: The first reactions are in.
And, surprise: They’re… mostly rapturous. People who saw it loved it. Well, mostly. There were some criticisms too, harsh ones even. But even the nay-sayers had at least some nice things to say about it.
Now, the reactions of journalists at a highly curated industry event like CinemaCon don’t necessarily guarantee critical acclaim and box office gold to follow. But it has to feel like a good sign for Warner Bros. Discovery, which has had what can politely be described as a very tough year thanks to this movie.
Naturally, those reading this know that “The Flash” has been saddled with far more controversy than hype. That’s of course...

Just shy of a decade ago, the DC-loving section of the internet lost its collective mind when it was revealed that Ben Affleck was going to be our new Batman, taking over the role just a year after Christian Bale wrapped up his run in "The Dark Knight Rises." Affleck's time as the superhero has been more than a bit rocky, kicking off with "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" in 2016, but we don't need to go over that whole situation again. What's important is that Affleck is getting ready to hang it up for good following his appearance as Bruce Wayne in this summer's "The Flash." While DC fans of all sorts have feelings about that, it was an emotional experience for the actor.

Come what may when the movie actually, finally does hit theaters this summer, "The Flash" is, indeed, getting a release from Warner Bros. This film has been through it for years and years, with Ezra Miller's solo turn as Barry Allen originally pegged to be the first DC Universe entry to hit theaters after "Justice League." That didn't happen and, even after the movie managed to finish filming, troubles emerged, largely surrounding Miller's abundant off-screen antics. But for all of the issues away from the set, the filmmakers apparently had a great time working with the actor.
/Film's own Jenna Busch recently attended a screening of "The Flash," with director Andy Muschietti and producer Barbara Muschietti in attendance. They addressed working with Miller during production and painted a kind picture, describing them as brilliant and funny. Here's what Andy Muschietti had to say about it:
