- César Benito was born in Granada, Andalucia, Spain. He is known for The Time in Between (2013), Down There (2015) and The Protected (2010).
- Grew up in the tourist town of Marbella, in Southern Spain.
- Graduated with honors from the Conservatories of Malaga and Madrid in piano and composition, respectively.
- Has a degree in Industrial Engineering from Univerdad Politectica de Malaga, Spain.
- Graduated "Magna cum laude" with a dual major in Film Scoring and Contemporary Writing from Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts. He also won three composition contests and in 2000 received the prestigious "Arif Mardin Award" for excellence in music arranging and production.
- Moved to Los Angeles in 2001.
