They join the Queer as Folk reboot as programs under development. Neither of the shows has received series orders.
Here is the full list of new shows in the works.

Ahead of its formal debut Thursday, NBCUniversal has put six projects in development at Peacock, including a revival of Will Forte’s “MacGruber.”
Additional projects include a transgender themed drama executive produced by and starring Laverne Cox, a comedy based on the McElroy family’s “Dungeons & Dragons” podcast, and others from Amy Poehler and Mindy Kaling.
“MacGruber” will see Forte return as his “SNL” character, a spoof of “MacGyver.” The character appeared in a number sketches and starred in a 2010 movie alongside Kristen Wiig, Ryan Phillippe, Val Kilmer and Maya Rudolph. The character was created by Jorma Taccone, a member of The Lonely Island musical comedy group that also featured “SNL” alum Andy Samberg.

Ahead of Comcast’s investor presentation today to officially unveil NBCUniversal’s upcoming streaming service Peacock, the platform has announced its inaugural development slate. It includes comedies MacGruber, starring and co-written by Will Forte; and Clean Slate, starring and co-written by Laverne Cox and George Wallace. Creative auspices on Peacock’s series in development also include Amy Poehler, Mindy Kaling, Norman Lear and Lorne Michaels, among others. The projects come from within NBCUniversal Content Studios — from both Universal TV and Ucp — as well as from outside studios, Warner Bros. and Sony.
From the get-go, Peacock’s original series slate had a comedy bent, with sequels to sitcoms Saved By the Bell and Punky Brewster among the platform’ first orders, along with pickups for A.P. Bio and Ed Helms-Mike Schur comedy Rutherford Falls.
The streamer’s development slate continues that programming direction. Five of the six projects on it are comedies,...

Peacock is adding a bunch more feathers to its slate.
Only a couple hours before NBCUniversal unveils the new streaming service, Peacock has announced it is developing series with Amy Poehler and Mindy Kaling, among others.
The Poehler-produced project is titled “Division One” and is described as a coming-of-age comedy about an underdog women’s collegiate soccer team that gets a new female coach – a former professional soccer player who’s fallen from grace – and must decide whether or not they’re going to take the risk of trying to be great.
Maggie Carey, who is best known for directing episodes of shows such as “Barry,” “Silicon Valley” and “Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt,” is writing, directing and executive producing the show, alongside Julia Brownwell who serves as a writing-executive producer. Poehler, who was recently announced as the co-host for next year’s Golden Globes, is exec producing via her Paper Kite banner,...

We look at seven examples of Dungeons & Dragons-inspired storytelling through the ages, including recent addition The Adventure Zone.

Even if you’ve never picked up a d20 or rolled for initiative, odds are that you’re familiar with the idea of Dungeons & Dragons. Originally released in 1974—a creation of wargamers Gary Gygax and Dave Arneson, who wanted a little more of the fantastic in their tactical games—the roleplaying classic has been through five core editions (and several variations). It has inspired so many other games—tabletop role playing, board, card, and video—that it’s impossible to dismiss its influence in the world of gaming.
But its influence doesn't stop there. Recently, we've been digging The Adventure Zone graphic novel series. The...

The McElroys' bestselling Adventure Zone graphic novel series returns with Murder on the Rockport Limited!.
This post is sponsored by First Second. All opinions expressed in this post are based on the writer's personal views.
If you've spent any time in the nerd community, then you've probably either listened to The Adventure Zone podcast or you've heard about it from one of your friends.
I myself fall into the latter category. Before reading The Adventure Zone: Murder on the Rockport Limited!, the second graphic novel in the series based on the wildly popular tabletop RPG comedy podcast, my familiarity with the work of the McElroys was liminal. I'd listened to other podcasts that gushed about their podcasts—The Adventure Zone having originally spun off from the also wildly popular My Brother, My Brother, and Me podcast.

A little over a year ago, Justin, Travis, and Griffin McElroy—the McElroy brothers of the My Brother, My Brother And Me and The Adventure Zone podcasts—ate a bunch of edibles in a hotel room after a live show and came up with a great idea: They should be in the Trolls sequel. After all, the first movie had cameos from…...

There's a new Star Wars audiobook coming out called From a Certain Point of View, which will tell 40 stories from 40 different authors. The stories will focus on several different characters throughout the Star Wars universe including X-wing pilots, droid-hunting stormtroopers, and even some of the background characters from Star Wars: A New Hope.
One of these stories focuses on Boba Fett. The story is called "Added Muscle" and the story is written from Boba Fett's perspective. The story was written by Paul Dini (Batman: The Animated Series), and Jon Hamm (Mad Men) has been cast in the role of Boba Fett! Great casting and it will be fun to hear him voice this legendary Star Wars character. Do you think Hamm is a good choice? Would you like to see him play a version of the character in a movie?
