But when his father dies, Charlie discovers that he was Anansi: Trickster God of stories. And he learns that he has a brother. Now that brother, Spider (also played by Kirby), is entering Charlie’s life, determined to make it more interesting—but making it a lot more dangerous instead.

St. Aubyn, who made her screen debut as part of Steve McQueen‘s Small Axe series in the feature Lovers Rock, is set to play cheerful and kind teacher Rosie Noah. Rosie is the fiancée to Charles “Fat Charlie” Nancy, the show’s main protagonist, played by fellow Small Axe actor Malachi Kirby. Saif, meanwhile, will portray the smart, determined, and very funny Detective Constable Daisy Day. Daisy finds herself tied up in multiple overlapping police cases, including a murder. “When you are casting something on the scale of Anansi Boys, you need female leads who are as accomplished, charming, and brilliant as, well, Malachi Kirby in both his incarnations,” said Gaiman (via The Hollywood Reporter). To say that 13 Reasons Why Season 4 was a waste would be the understatement of the century.
The controversial Netflix series had an intricately plotted and emotionally driven freshman season, but the show's purpose died when we learned what led to Hannah Baker's untimely demise.
Hollywood has been known to milk shows for all their worth, and that's why we witnessed Netflix beat a dead horse three seasons in a row.
While it's difficult to forgive the terrible storylines, 13 Reasons Why Season 4 actually got some of the characters right during its final season.
The series had some questionable storylines over the course of its run, but with faux school shootings, Clay completely losing his grip on reality, and other outlandish things, it seemed like all hope for worthwhile developments were dashed.
Alex coming to terms with his sexuality is the type of storyline I would have expected the show to botch.

13 Reasons Why Season 4 arrives on Netflix in one week, and the streamer has dropped a new sneak peak.
The clip involves Winston (Deaken Bluman) trying to get answers from Ani (Grace Saif) following Monty's death.
"Tell me what really happened and I swear to you I'll never mention it again, to anyone," he sais to a clearly shocked Ani.
"Just tell me what really happened."
Unfortunately for Winston, Ani has the best poker face out there, and gives him the following response:
"I don't know."
It's an awkward scene, for sure, and Winston leaves with the following:
"Why lie to me? What good does that do?"
Indeed, there would be no show if these teenagers told the truth.
Through three seasons, we've had a suicide, an almost school shooting, sexual assault, and murder.
It's been an exhausting series, and with us heading into the final season, there has to be some consequences for the characters.

…and yet, the show’s perceived popularity indicates people are watching, so let’s talk about some of the many ways this season fails. Brian Yorkey’s still-very-bad Netflix original has nothing substantial to say; despite the many controversial topics touched upon, these 13 new episodes are only interested in depicting trauma for the sake of drama, and no one seems to care how far they have to re-e-e-e-ach to justify talking about abuse, rape, murder, immigration, homophobia, “locker room talk,” drug use, and so many more intense, real-world teen experiences. The sheer quantity is preposterous, undercutting any actual impact the season could carry,...

Another day, another reason people are mad at 13 Reasons Why. The Netflix series has been courting controversy ever since its debut in 2017, as concerned adults worried that graphic depictions of suicide and a lacking exploration of mental health might be bad for the teens who were quickly binging the show. Netflix has since edited out the graphic suicide scene, and the show now includes a warning and an accompanying website with mental health resources for anyone who may need them, but the criticisms keep coming. This time, the issues are centered around new character Ani (Grace Saif), a new student at Liberty High who gets close to Bryce (Justin Prentice), the bully and rapist who assaulted Hannah...

Amorowat Anysia Achola, Aka Ani, played by Grace Saif, surely shakes things up at Liberty High in the third season of 13 Reasons Why. Ani is the new girl in town (by way of the UK) and she has just as much to hide as her fellow students if not more. After her mother takes a job to care for Bryce Walker's sick grandfather, Ani and her mom move into the Walker guest house. Only a few months later, Bryce Walker goes missing and eventually is found dead, raising many questions for those around him. Many of which are brought up by Ani and her new pal Clay Jenkins on their mission to find the truth.
Like her character, Saif is also British (specifically from West Sussex) and quite new to the scene herself. The Netflix drama offers Saif her breakout role on the small screen, aside from a brief appearance on Doctors,...

A new voice made headlines when Netflix's 13 Reasons Why dropped its first trailer for the show's third season. The voice belongs to series newbie Grace Saif, who plays new student Ani. We decided to dig a little deeper into the newest cast member. Who is Saif, and could her character be the key to cracking Bryce Walker's mysterious disappearance? Her scene in the first trailer definitely has us raising some eyebrows!
Saif is a young British actress with mostly credits in theater and voice-over work. One of her more notable credits is lending her voice to the popular video game World of Warcraft: Battle For Azeroth. Her work on television appears to be relatively new, with her only other TV credit being a 2017 guest role on BBC's Doctors. This makes sense, though, since she only graduated with her bachelor's degree in acting that same year. With her new breakout role,...

13 Reasons Why Season 3 is almost here and the fine folks at Netflix have dropped the full-length trailer.
The murder of Bryce Walker takes center stage as the teenagers all emerge as very likely suspects.
When you have a character as wicked as Bryce, then it's fair to assume that there will be a lot of suspects when something happens to him.
Oh yes, the series is going full murder mystery for its penultimate season. Will that result in a more watchable season?
Possibly, but time will tell.

The biggest suspect appears to be Clay. The kid just can't seem to catch a break, but there's no denying that he wanted something to happen to Bryce after what he put his friends through.
Given that Bryce was shot dead, everyone points the finger at Tyler ... which makes sense when you consider the face that...

While the memory of Hannah Baker can never be forgotten, it appears Netflix's 13 Reasons Why is introducing a new voice to narrate the series, ahead of its third season. Originally read by Katherine Langford, the show now seems to be narrated by newbie Grace Saif, who is playing Ani this season.
The streaming service has yet to announce whether or not Saif will officially be the main voice of the show, but she is presumably leading the narration of the series's newest trailer. Langford confirmed her exit from the series, concluding Hannah's role on the show, leaving room for someone new to step in. Someone like Ani?
While little is known about Ani, hints online suggest the actress is definitely in line and qualified to take over.
Let's break down the clues: Saif is British, as seems to be the case with the narrator of the season three trailer.

Following the departure of Katherine Langford as Hannah Baker, the series' biggest villain, Bryce Walker (Justin Prentice), has been killed off and his murderer is at large. The third season is sure to bring a lot of new thrills as we work to hunt down Bryce's killer when the show returns Aug. 23.
The newest trailer opens with a crime scene before surfing through the town, giving us a peek at the conflicts that are sure to arise throughout the season. Netflix’s drama 13 Reasons Why has been handed a fourth and final season ahead of the launch of Season 3, which has been set for August 23. Watch the trailer above, which unveils a major character death at the center of the new season’s plot.
The Svod service also revealed today that the fourth season, which is already in production, will be its last.
This comes after Netflix made the decision last month to edit a scene from the Season 1 finale that depicted one of the characters taking her own life. The nearly three-minute scene, which showed actress Katherine Langford’s character Hannah take a razor blade to one of her wrists while sitting in a bathtub, was edited following complaints. It’s understood that there will be no scenes of suicide in Season 3, which consists of 13 episodes.
