Pamela Finney was born in San Bernardino, CA, the third of five children. Her father was a Texan, her mother an Okie, and she is an Arkie. The hospital she was born in was condemned soon there after, but she insists it had nothing to do with her birth. She has been acting most of her life. It all started in the Ozarks of Arkansas in the first grade, when her teacher had her memorize and present a poem about a hillbilly because she was the best reader in the class. Well, she was hooked from that moment on.
Pamela has performed in numerous stage productions in high school (Paradise, CA), college (Simpson University in San Francisco, CA) and the community scene (Paradise, Sacramento, Rosamond). Her favorite role was as Yente, the Matchmaker, in Fiddler on the Roof. An interesting tidbit about her is that she has played a male role twice (including Bilbo Baggins in The Hobbit) and even a turtle! Like most actors, she never has made enough at her craft to pay the bills. In order to keep a roof over her head over the years, she has been a restaurant manager, an airline baggage claim agent, a janitor, a courier, and a college professor, among others. She has lived in Alaska, Washington, New York, Arkansas, Arizona, and California.
Pamela got out of acting to raise her daughter, but when she returned to it in the '90s, she moved over to studying acting for the camera. She did a few projects, again had to get out of acting for a while because of family obligations, but she is on her own now and back with a vengeance. She is a cancer survivor, out to fulfill her dreams: no stops, no detours. Pamela resides in Sacramento at this time but hopes to pull off the move to the L.A. soon and make acting her full-time career.- Juliette Sysak performed Big Band and Country songs on stage and radio from the age of 13. She began performing on CBC television variety programs in 1954 and became popular enough for the network to create a show specifically for her. She was made a member of the Order of Canada in 1975. - Producer
