- Detective #1: Mrs. Saxen, we're seeking an arrest warrant for your daughter.
- Joanna Saxen: How could you? My daughter is only 17 years old.
- Leslie: OK, let's get back to Preston. So you never put Preston at risk to get drugs?
- Alex Saxen: No.
- Leslie: Not once? So you did drugs real civilized, right? Kind of like tea in the afternoon.
- Alex Saxen: I'm trying but it's not getting better, it's getting worse.
- Cody: Well, it's like The Big Book says...
- Alex Saxen: The Big Book?
- Cody: We don't skip the road to happiness, we trudge.
- Alex Saxen: I never aspired to trudging.
- Alex Saxen: You know the worse thing about being sober?
- Cody: Yeah, your clothes reek of cigarettes all the time.
- Alex Saxen: No, it's the guilt. I did so many horrible things. I messed up so many times.
- Cody: I've done my share of things I'm not too proud of myself. Some I could fix. Other stuff I just kind of had to let go of. The stuff I could fix, I did. The rest of it I just had to learn to forgive myself for.
