At the start of the movie the following appears on screen: "Every man has his own destiny: the only imperative is to follow it, to accept it, no matter where it leads him." - Henry Miller "The Wisdom of the Heart"
The opening credits appear as messages being decoded. This is in keeping with the spying/surveillance themes of the film.
The main title of the film is a shot of Ewan McGregor's eye, with the words 'of the beholder' underneath it.
The final credit reads: "for ... hal, tex, francis, federico, hitch, chuck, walter, steven and jacques."
As the end credits roll, we see a statue of an angel with the sun setting in the sky in the background.
