Poetic View

Viva São João is a poetic view about the most traditional festivity in Brasil. Gilberto Gil (actually the Prime Minister of the Culture) bring us a myriad of celebrations at the Nortwest of Brasil. The music, the culinary, the traditions, the songs, everything together, brings us a nostalgic memory of when we're children. The Brazilian soul is open wide is this little film, with great force. But the most important is the music. São João's music are full of grace and rhythm. Is the soul of the party. Dominguinhos, Gilberto Gil, Margareth Menezes, Elba Ramalho, Targino Gondim, are some of the great musicians that appear , some time singing or even talking about the São João. This is not a GREAT film, but is special and say a lot to us, Brazilian people. Our memories and nostalgic times are all there.
