A really bad start to season four.
When I watched this episode of "Cannon", I felt very confused. What was the purpose of this episode and why did they make it in the first place?! And, why was Cannon barely in the episode?!
When the episode begins, you see a guy try to kill someone in the hospital. Despite cops being EVERYWHERE and waiting for him, they don't catch him...something that inexplicably happens throughout the show. Killing off Ellis is practically as difficult as doing it to the Terminator!
In the next scene, the cops call Cannon and inform him, like it or not, Kelly (Stephanie Powers) is going to have to help him capture Ellis. After all, he is infatuated with her and used to be her pimp. So, despite having a fine life, she agrees to pose as a high price call-girl once again. But, of course, when Ellis makes his moves on Kelly, the cops blow it...again. What does Cannon have to do throughout this one? Not much!
This would have been a bad show even if it wasn't Cannon...but worse because Cannon IS the star of the show. I have no idea what's going on with this one...what behind the scenes machinations made the folks make this mess. Dumb and dumbfoundingly different.
