Danny Kaye brings his charming self on this ep of "Laugh-In"
tavm28 August 2019
Warning: Spoilers
Danny Kaye is the special guest star of this edition of "Rowan & Martin's Laugh-In". In a running skit, he's a watch repair man who alienates all his customers. He appears with Arte Johnson as a couple of Russian singers warbling "Those Were the Days, My Friend" in their language, a couple of rival Italian cooks, and Gladys' dad trying to get some dough from Tyrone! Speaking of those lovebirds, Gladys and Tyrone also have some time to themselves discussing a possible threesome which she doesn't approve of to his disappointment, of course! Kaye also has a couple of good skits with Lily Tomlin. First, she reappears as that lady who always dithers when talking from one subject to another which causes him to kiss her! Then they're a couple of strangers on a bench who keep talking to each other in single interjections like "oh" or "uh"! Oh, and during the monologue, Dan Rowan tests Dick Martin's truthfulness by using a lie detector test on him! In summary, this was quite a funny ep of "Laugh-In".
