Well, they at least made it to episode before before making a joke about Patricia Heaton's dyed hair and lack of height!
The bar is pretty low, but this actually is probably the best episode of the bunch so far, with a nice moment between Carol and her boss at the end.
Of course this is spoilt by the fact that any time Carol gets a win at work she becomes an absolute nightmare.
Where's Ashley Tisdales character? Vanished so it seems.
The subplot with the rest of the characters (surprise surpise, the tough talking female newbie is made a lesbian) is ok enough, but it does feel like the writers are frantically scratching their heads for storylines that 'Scrubs' didn't do with a very similar premise.
Do I feel a bit sorry for Patricia Heaton, who has done so much good work elsewhere, when watching this? Yes. It's a bit like Matt LeBlanc in 'Joey' - you can see a talented performer straining every sinew to make sub-par material work.
