Poor Malcom can't catch a break. Just when he gets himself a sliver of happiness in the form of pleasure with a beautiful woman BAM ... Love this show and can't wait to see where it's going.

Pied-A-Terre

Warning: Spoilers
Pied-A-Terre is more focussed on the crime of the week and is better for it.

Although Malcolm does have a therapy session and a nightmare about the woman in the box.

The main case is a murdered man in a luxury penthouse. The police think that his wife must have killed him. Only for the dead man did not live there.

That belongs to Beth Saverstein who walks into the apartment which is crawling with cops later followed by her husband and child.

So just who is the dead man and how did he get to the apartment?

Of course Malcolm soon figures that Beth is a swinger, her husband likes to watch and this has all been arranged by a mysterious man called Jasper who runs an underground sex club for the wealthy.

On his search for the elusive Jasper, Malcolm handily seeks out a character from an earlier episode. Someone Malcolm had saved from being blown up.

At least it is enjoyable hokum, even campy and I think the producers know it.

My thoughts throughout

What the holy hell??? Why is his therapist suggesting that he was turned on by the sword. That was weird. The walking down the street with the lollipop is giving that one scene in the spider-man movie. I don't support the Eve/Malcom ship. It's kinda weird. I always thought that Eve should've gotten w his mom, ngl. (if something comes up to give reason for why thats a no-no, then I'm sorry). N general, I just don't think the plotline works.

7 mins in, I think that this episode is one of the weaker ones. The theme of banging is a bit iffy. The "polyamory adult" felt misused because her husband was unaware. Bro needs to keep away from Nico's hands but it was funny.

The "sex for a mission" has weird undertones. It feels like a writer's wet dream. But I'm glad they didn't go through with it.

Beth's dialogue was weak in the confession scene.

Great, Eve and Malcom are back together. Bleh. But fine, whatever. Have 0 relationship development but make them get together for some contrived plot line later on. I have no reason to root for their relationship.
