Ryan Gosling’s recently released film, The Fall Guy, has put Taylor Swift’s music in the 2024 movie and people are confused. With the film based on stuntmen and women who risk their lives every day for 2 minutes of action on-screen, a Taylor Swift song seems out of the blue.
But the music supervisor and producer Kelly McCormick (who’s a Swiftie) talked about the song’s importance in the film and how it plays out. Having Gosling as the sacrificial stuntman in the film who loses all, a Swift song from her album Red seems perfect.
Ryan Gosling and Emily Blunt in The Fall Guy (2024).
How Ryan Gosling Cried To Taylor Swift’s Song In The Fall Guy!
Being a story about stuntmen and women, the action sequences are obviously terrific. The promotion of the film had real stuntmen breaking through a glass door while Ryan Gosling walked before them.

Bunk’d, which is currently the Disney Channel’s longest running sitcom, is to conclude after the seventh series.
From early 2000s classics like Even Stevens and Lizzie McGuire to The Suite Life franchise, That’s So Raven and the hugely succesful Hannah Montana (which was spun off into feature film Hannah Montana: The Movie in 2009), Disney’s formula of well cast, high concept sitcoms has put it at the top of the tween sitcom tree for several decades.
One of its more recent successes was Jessie, which provided a star vehicle for Debby Ryan after several years in The Suite Life On Deck.
The show saw Ryan play the titular character, who acted as a nanny for three kids – Zuri, Ravi, Luke and Emma, played by Skai Jackson, Karen Brar, Cameron Boyce and Peyton List, respectively. Jessie grew into one of Dusney’s most popular shows and eventually ran from 2011 to 2015.

Pop singer Miley Cyrus spoke about a viral photo of herself wearing sweat pants and boots next to a glammed-out Taylor Swift, Demi Lovato and ‘Hannah Montana’ co-star Emily Osment, and said: “If you guys didn’t know I was bisexual.”
Cyrus, 30, while going through her archives, unearthed a memory from a night out with Swift, Lovato and Osment.
Speaking on the latest installment of her ‘Used to Be Young’ TikTok series, she wondered how no one picked up on her bisexuality based on a viral meme from 2009.
“This picture has become a meme — where it says, ‘Be the Miley of your friend group,’” the singer recalled on TikTok, before joking, “If you guys didn’t know I was bisexual from this damn picture, I don’t know what’s wrong with you.”
After noticing laughter off-camera, Cyrus defended her reaction, saying she was only stating the obvious and offering a bit more context.

A picture is worth 1,000 words. According to Miley Cyrus, there's one in particular that speaks volumes. While looking back on old memories for her "Used to Be Young" TikTok interview series, Cyrus came across an especially iconic photo of herself walking with Taylor Swift, Emily Osment, and Demi Lovato. "This picture has become a meme," she explained. The meme - which reads "be the Miley of your friend group" - references Cyrus's super-casual outfit and its direct contrast to her group's fancy cocktail dresses. "If you guys didn't know I was bisexual from this damn picture," she joked, "I don't know what's wrong with you."
After noticing laughter off-camera, Cyrus defended her reaction, saying she was only stating the obvious and offering a bit more context. "I mean, hello! Look at 'em," she said, flipping the photo around for everyone to see. To her point, the shot shows Cyrus dressed in sweatpants,...

Early in Zach Shallcross’ season of The Bachelor, it looked as if Christina Mandrell was a frontrunner.
The contestant, who is the niece of country singer Barbara Mandrell, was awarded the first one-on-one date with Shallcross. The day included meeting his entire family at his mother’s birthday party.
During the evening portion, Mandrell opened up to the Bachelor about being a single mom to her 5-year-old daughter Blakely. He gave her the date rose and they looked very happy together.
Things went downhill from there when co-star Brianna Thorbourne accused Mandrell of bad behavior and painted her as the villain of the season.
The single mom tried to explain herself to Shallcross, but he eliminated her at the following rose ceremony anyway.
Now fans are saying that Mandrell may be chosen as the next Bachelorette.
Are signs pointing to Christina Mandrell becoming ‘The Bachelorette’?

It has been a banner six months for pop superstar Taylor Swift. In August she made history at the VMAs by becoming the first artist to win Video of the Year thrice — and the first to win the award for a self-directed video. In October, the release of her 10th studio album “Midnights” shattered records; it became Spotify’s most-streamed album in one day, sold over a million copies in the US in the first week (making Swift the only act to have accomplished this feat five times), debuted atop the Billboard 200 (tying Barbra Streisand for the most number-one albums by a woman), and occupied the entire top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart (a first in the chart’s history).

Disney’s live-action take on its 1998 Oscar-nominated animated classic Mulan was intended, in all its colors and elaborate battles, to be seen on the big screen.
But because of the pandemic, and the unpredictable nature at which the box office marketplace is unfolding, Disney needs to win big on this $200M epic. Right now, with the entertainment conglomerate’s parks hampered by Covid-19 in parts of the world, what’s clicking for them right now is their streaming service, Disney+, particularly in the wake of their Independence Day launch of Hamilton. It’s what makes Wall Street go wild. Hence, opening Mulan offshore in territories that don’t have Disney+, and where ticket sales can be nothing but vibrant (i.e. China), and then hoping that families shell out an extra $30 to watch it on Disney+ on Sept. 4; it’s a business recipe that Covid-19 can’t curb.

Produced by Vision Distribution and Indiana Production, the film was written by the director himself alongside Tinker Lindsay. According to the synopsis of the book, which was published in Italy by Mondadori, the...
If someone told you at the end of 2009 that by the end of the 2010s, Disney would dominate the movie industry, it would be hard to believe. Their highest grossing films that year — excluding top grosser and Pixar movie Up — included The Proposal, Disney’s A Christmas Carol and Hannah Montana: The Movie. Hardly cultural behemoths compared to Warner Bros.’s Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince, The Hangover and The Blind Side, released in the same year. Demi Lovato and Taylor Swift have both been in the spotlight for a long time and at one point ran in the same group of friends, so it only makes sense that they would eventually develop a friendship. Right? If only it was that easy. The answer to that is simply complicated (see what we did there?). The emotional roller coaster these two have taken the world on gives Six Flags's Kingda Ka a run for its money. The duo seemed close when they walked the red carpet for the premiere of Miley Cyrus's Hannah Montana: The Movie in 2009. Things took a turn when Demi was signing autographs in 2010 and a fan asked her, "How's Selena?" She responded with, "Ask Taylor." The "Sorry Not Sorry" singer also went on to date Taylor's ex Joe Jonas for about a month. The same year, Demi entered rehab and revealed to Access Hollywood...

Essentially reimagining “Starman” as a tepid Ya weepie, “The Space Between Us” adds the one thing that’s been missing from melodramatic teen dramas like “The Fault in Our Stars” and “If I Stay”: Mars. Of course! The Red Planet. What took them so long? It’s such a perfectly natural setting for a genre that has wasted millions upon millions of dollars searching for signs of life. Alas, there are none to be found in this otherwise guileless and good-natured sci-fi love story.
Inexplicably not based on a book — but rather on an original idea by “Collateral Beauty” screenwriter Allan Loeb — “The Space Between Us” begins in the near future, as visionary scientist Nathaniel Shepherd (Gary Oldman, so characteristically hard to recognize that he’s easy to recognize) bids farewell to the first colonists of Mars, a team of astronauts who will establish and live in a dusty little outpost called “East Texas.

Among the sequels and reboots, there are also some exciting-looking original sci-fi films to look forward to in 2016. And here they are...
Did you see Coherence? Or maybe Predestination? They’re but two examples of relatively low-budget, original genre films that were both beautifully made and endlessly watchable. What they lacked in expensive special effects they more than made up for in mesmerising concepts and superb performances, whether it was from a cast of relative unknowns in Coherence or the perfect pairing of Ethan Hawke and Sarah Snook in Predestination.
Only time will tell whether 2016 will play host to films as good as those, but we have to say, there are some potentially great sci-fi films on the horizon this year. Some have generous budgets and top-line casts, others are independently produced. For different reasons, all look well worth keeping an eye on...

In April of that year, Swift did a promotional interview for her role in Hannah Montana, gushing about Cyrus, [...]...

Given the genre cred of Simon Pegg and the ascendance of Rosamund Pike, I approached Hector and the Search for Happiness with a certain level of curiosity. I was unfamiliar with the original novel by French author Francois Lelord and somehow missed the film’s release back in September. 20th Century Home Entertainment resolved that with the release today of the film on DVD.
In short, the film is about a psychiatrist, Hector (Pegg), who wants to shake up his tedious life. He doesn’t feel like he’s good at his job or able to help people, and laments to his girlfriend Clara (Pike) that he has yet to sample the very experience he recommends to his clients. As a result, he goes walkabout, seeking to taste life and find happiness. Then things happen.

Ignore what the masses would have you believe – it’s perfectly acceptable to be left upset, distressed and in-tears while playing a video game… Well, unless the game in question is Hannah Montana: The Movie, then help is desperately needed at that point.
Some games are designed to be sob-stories from start to finish; the exceptional Valiant Hearts (released last year) is a great example of this. As a game based around the First World War, sad moments and heart-breaking deaths come with the territory – when loading up something like this you’re not exactly expecting a bright, happy tale.
However, other games take a different approach to bringing players to tears. Shocking moments which dramatically change a game or depressing story moments hidden within otherwise straightforward titles can work especially well, simply because they’re so unexpected.
One incredibly well-made scene can turn a game into a real tear-jerker from out of nowhere.

For 114-minutes Hector and the Search for Happiness walks the tightrope between nausea and uplift. A movie whose logline is “a psychiatrist searches the globe to find the secret of happiness,” seens congentinally constructed to evoke such mixed emotions. And so Maria von Heland and Peter Chelsom’s uneven screenplay beats on with a confluence of stirring and sickening sequences — its unrelenting optimism alternately admirable and revolting. That said, there is something about Chelsom’s film, his first since the Hannah Montana: The Movie in 2009, that occasionally has the power to win you over. The power lies in Simon Pegg, playing the eponymous psychiatrist who has recently become disenchanted with his life. Professional and maritally, Hector has been going through the motions. “Tidy” and “uncomplicated” are the descriptors his partner, Clara (Rosamund Pike) uses. The two appear to be content, which perhaps is better than being discontent, but is almost certainly more boring. The...

Hector and the Search for Happiness, based on the best-selling novel of the same name, is the kind of adaptation that could turn into a new favorite for millions, or completely ruin the book for everyone, without a lot of room to fall anywhere in-between. There are tone requirements, a wide range of emotion, and supporting characters that need to be worked in to things just so.

Last week, Nielsen SoundScan reported that the soundtrack to Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy at No. 3 on the Billboard 200 list with 60,000 units sold. In its second week, the Awesome Mix Vol. 1 sold a whopping 109,000 copies. That's an increase of 83 percent from last week's tally. That impressive figure also places the soundtrack at the top of the Billboard 200 chart. It is the second movie soundtrack to top the charts this year, as Disney's Frozen did the same. This is the first time since 2009 in which multiple movie soundtracks have claimed the top spot. In that year, three films did the deed - Hannah Montana: The Movie, The Twilight Saga: New Moon and Michael Jackson's This Is It. The last time director Peter Chelsom made a film, it was 2009 and Miley Cyrus was still wholesome enough to get through all of Hannah Montana: The Movie out without licking things suggestively and gyrating her ass. Since then, we.ve all been looking for happiness, and Chelsom.s next film may deliver just that, as he sent Simon Pegg on a trip around the world for the upcoming comedic drama Hector and the Search for Happiness. The film has finally released its first trailer, seen above, and though it doesn.t look like it.s on the same fast track to pleasure as antidepressants and marijuana, I think it looks like a fun and lightheartedly introspective journey. Simon Pegg is an actor who often succeeds wildly in making us smile, in films like Shaun of the Dead and Run, Fatboy, Run. So, it is a relief to see that the actor likes to smile, too. Moving away from the dark comedy A Fantastic Fear of Everything, the British comic will be hitting UK movie screens this fall in Hector and the Search for Happiness. The first trailer for the film is up and it looks like it hits the sweet spot without being too saccharine.
The film follows Pegg’s Hector, a glum psychiatrist who is just as depressed and uninspired as the patients he speaks with every week. He finds the courage to pick himself up and travel across the world, trying to find the places and people that can turn his frown upside down.
