When Sheldon drops the chicken in the trash, it's sitting on the edge of the can as he lets it go and the bag tips over on its side as it falls in. When he goes back to the trash can to get the chicken, the bag is sitting upright in the can allowing him to just grab the handles and pull the bag out.
Toby elects to leave Sheldon's scripted character and begins to weave a tale of sexual abuse starting at Subic Bay Naval Base in 1992, but the shutdown of that base began in 1991. Whilst the decision to close the base took place in 1991 the last service personnel didn't leave until November 1992 so the base was actually open and functioning for most of 1992.
Sheldon states that his wristwatch is synchronized to the atomic clock in Boulder, CO. Actually the signal comes from WWVB in Ft. Collins, CO. where the clock is located. They are approximately 50 miles apart.
Sheldon is a mysophobe, so he would not have taken the packed chicken he threw in the garbage bin for consumption later.
When Raj calls 'shotgun' for the drive to Long Beach, Sheldon tells him that Leonard must sit in the front or he becomes 'nauseous'. Sheldon is notorious for correcting grammar, and would never have made the error of saying 'nauseous' instead of 'nauseated'. In fact, he makes a point of correcting this exact mistake in the final episode of season one.
Sheldon introduces Toby Loobenfeld as a research assistant in the particle physics lab. This is the very lab where Leonard works yet he has never met Toby and does not even recognize him.
