Billed as a vampire comedy, Don’t Suck is the story of Pete, a burnt-out comedian who’s spent too much time chasing fame on the standup circuit. He’s finally managed to go viral, but it’s from using the C word on a cashier while trying to be funny. However, he and comedy club owner Danny dismiss it as her fault for being too easily offended.
That’s followed by Pete approvingly referring to Danny “Weinstiening” the students in his comedy class and boasting about being part of the mob that stormed the Capitol. That should give you an idea of where Don’t Suck is coming from, what kind of jokes to expect and whether or not to cut your losses and bail now.

The comedy series "Minx" takes viewers back to the 1970s and the very beginnings of magazines centered around women's sexuality. The series follows a exuberant young feminist named Joyce (Ophelia Lovibond), who seeks to create a magazine focused on women's rights and dismantle the rigid gender norms of the 1970s. In an industry dominated by men, this proves to be difficult until she teams up with adult-magazine publisher Doug Renetti (Jake Johnson). Together, they work to create the first-ever erotic magazine targeted toward women. In season two (which airs on Starz after the show was dropped by Max), the company has to balance its early success with staying true to their roots.
"Minx" takes place during one of the most influential periods in history for feminism and sexual expression, but is it based on a true story? While "Minx" is not based on one singular story, it is inspired by real events of the 1970s.

It’s a busy week for horror with The Pope’s Exorcist and Renfield arriving on the big screen. The latter reimagines classic Universal Monsters characters with a comedic twist, though it’s hardly the first to depict bloodsuckers in a humorous way. This week’s streaming picks celebrate vampire horror-comedies, giving you plenty of options to sink your teeth into.
Here’s where to watch these titles this week.

Caelynn Miller-Keyes dropped a big hint that she and Dean Unglert are ready to get engaged. Pic credit: ©ImageCollect.com/Fs/AdMedia
Caelynn Miller-Keyes is ready to get engaged, but rather than going ring shopping and proposing to him the way Becca Kufrin proposed to Thomas Jacobs, she bought a truck. Feeling a little lost?
Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered. But first, let’s go back back to the beginning and do a quick explainer on how exactly a truck got mixed up in a proposal.
Dean Unglert and Caelynn Miller-Keyes met on Season 6 of Bachelor in Paradise in June 2019, though all was not smooth sailing despite the romantic beach setting. Dean eventually left Caelynn (on her birthday no less!), telling her, “I know I won’t be able to get where you would need me to be by the end of this.”

According to Dean Unglert, Bachelor in Paradise producers really wanted to end this season with a bang—or should we say bling. As the seventh season of the Bachelor spin-off comes to an end on Tuesday, Oct. 5, fans can expect to see Unglert and his girlfriend, fellow Bachelor Nation alum Caelynn Miller-Keyes—but what their appearance entails remains a mystery. However, during the latest episode of Dean and Jared Haibon's podcast, Help! I Suck at Dating, Dean revealed the show's producers allegedly wanted them to get engaged. "I think I can share this. I don't see why I wouldn't be able to," he prefaced. "When we were down there, the...

Yes, Dean Unglert knows "suffocating" sounded bad. During the latest episode of his and Jared Haibon's iHeartRadio podcast Help! I Suck at Dating, the Bachelor Nation star spurred headlines when he described his girlfriend, former Bachelor star Caelynn Miller-Keyes, as the "most suffocating" person he's ever dated. But, as he pointed out during an interview with Us Weekly, context is everything. "One of the questions was emailed into our podcast about being suffocating," he noted during the chat to explain why they had been using the word "suffocating" in the first place. "So that was the word that Jared and I were then using to, you...

So here we are, at the Season 3 finale of Shameless, one of the most ambitious, frenetic, and utterly wrong shows on television today. It's been a great season overall (especially since episode five, when things really started cookin'), but how did the season finale - not always the best ep of the bunch, let's be honest - stack up?
Let me just get this out of the way - out of ten Old Styles, I'd give this episode:
Or, as Frank Gallagher would call it, "brunch".
We start with Frank (William H. Macy) in jail (having taken the fall for the robbery he got Carl to commit with him), where a very large black man approaches him and starts to undo his pants. Frank moans, "Again?" and it turns out the guy has to use the toilet. Ha! Probably the only funny prison rape joke I've seen all year.

We tuned in for host Adam Lambert, but VH1's Divas Live contained a number of eye-popping, deeply danceable moments last night. Miley Cyrus sang Billy Idol, Brandy, Kelly Rowland, and Jordin Sparks wooed us with mad vocals and killer hand choreography, and even Sheila E. dropped by for an otherworldly drumming exhibition as part of a Donna Summer tribute.
But those weren't even my favorite moments! My interviews on the red carpet with many of the divas will be up soon, but in the meantime, check out our favorite clips from the night.
Adam Lambert kicks it off with a gnarly-ass version of "Let's Dance"

1. Burl Ives, "Silver Bells"
Here's the problem with Burl Ives' Christmas tunes: I just want him to interrupt every recording by announcing, "I am an Oscar Winner, kids. I'm not just your f*cking grandpa with the pointy beard. I beat Lee J. Cobb and Gig Young. Suck on that sugar cube, Blitzen." Indeed, Rudolph's narrator scored a Supporting Actor trophy for 1958's The Big Country, and he wasn't the jolliest bastard you've ever seen in it. But here's the thing: Christmas is about bubbling-under rage, which I've decided that Burl has, and therefore "Silver Bells" is a definitive yuletide anthem. Score: 8
2. The Carpenters, "Merry Christmas Darling"
All right. It doesn't take a looped screening of the Carpenters' Christmas specials featuring the McNichols, John Denver, and Yuletide Anorexia to realize that Christmas meant everything to the Carpenters. Karen and Richard were nothing without their plasticine grins, that true indicator of the holiday spirit.

Great news you guys: Billboard is reporting that super scribe, I mean singer, Ke$ha is writing an illustrated autobiography (aka picture book) called Ke$ha: My Crazy Beautiful Life. Lucky us! Manchester, Tennessee — In a two-hour set that absolutely flew by, the Red Hot Chili Peppers proved Saturday night that they're still the hardest-working band in the business. Their incomparable energy was on full display in their first Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival appearance as they tore through their nearly 30-year catalogue.
A little more than two months into a tour schedule that has them performing nonstop through the end of November, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees opened with "Monarchy of Roses," the first track on their most-recent release, I'm With You. "Factory of Faith" and "The Adventures of Rain Dance Maggie" also represented that disc.
Highlights included the Rhcp classics "Give It Away," "Suck My Kiss," "Under the Bridge" and...

After a three-week hiatus, The Vampire Diaries returns with the first of the final four episodes of the season. We open on Alaric chillin' like a part-time villain in a Salvatore cell. Elena drops by with a satchel of essentials, leading me to uncomfortably ruminate on the notion that whenever indoor plumbing was installed in the antebellum Salvatore mansion it probably wasn't run to the cells. I hope someone remembered a bucket. Ric pokes through the bag and comes up with a copy of Doctor Jekyll and Mister Hyde. Elena's confused then realizes: “Damon. He thinks he's hilarious.” And he is.
Elena questions the need for Ric to stay in the cell but he assures her it's the best place for him until the others can convince his alter ego, who I'm calling Pric, to give up where he stashed the last White Oak Junior stake. Elena tells him that...

Lollipop Chainsaw is right around the corner, and we have yet another trailer for you. Artist Jimmy Urine (of Mindless Self Indulgence) and Grasshopper Manufacture Sound Director Akira Yamaoka sat down to answer a few questions about the soundtrack. Read on for all the gory details.

What is the exact soundtrack to a zombie massacre? In scoring the upcoming game Lollipop Chainsaw, artist Jimmy Urine (of Mindless Self Indulgence) and Grasshopper Manufacture Sound Director Akira Yamaoka had to address these types of questions. When Juliet rips through a decaying zombie torso with her trusty chainsaw, would Sleigh Bells fit better than Sinatra? Or should it be an original composition? In this behind the scenes video, Jimmy and Akira discuss the various influences that go into scoring a game with such a strong visual and creative style and the aesthetic basis from which the soundtrack was compiled.

This week’s American Idol was built around two distinct themes: Paying tribute to the Billy Joel songbook and paying absolutely no mind to the advice of the show’s new/official style guru, Tommy Hilfiger.
As Steven Tyler so direly warned at the top of the show, “If you can’t sing Billy Joel, you can’t sing at all.” (This seems to be the total reverse of Randy’s oft-stated “If you can sing, you can sing anything” philosophy.)
And while the undeniably talented Top 10 fared pretty well with the Piano Man’s tunes — at least five contestants...

Legend of the Seeker's Craig Horner is set to play a 1990s rock star in Joey Dakota, based on the Israeli format about a future documentarian who goes back in time to capture her subject, Joey Dakota, only to fall in love with him.
On her radio show in Dallas, Khloe Kardashian called her sister's babbydaddy Scott Disick a "homo" over his manbag. “What kind of homo are you? “Seriously? That is not what men… a straight man doesn’t carry a Birkin Bag.” When Disick called her out not for the insult but the slur (quite brilliantly in fact), she doubled down, “Let me just tell you: I am the queen of my gay community which I love and adore. And I promote doing the tranny look-alike contest. I am queen bee over here so don’t even try it.” Um. No. In fact, no twice.

Paul Dano is no stranger to dark parts. Who could forget him as the silent, nihilistic teen in "Little Miss Sunshine" or the crazy preacher in "There Will Be Blood"?
Dano takes it to a new level in "Being Flynn" as Nick Flynn, an aimless young man who takes a job at a local homeless shelter. When his long-estranged father Jonathan (Robert De Niro) -- a racist, homophobic, belligerent alcoholic who claims to be a genius -- becomes a resident at the shelter, Nick's already shaky world is thrown into chaos.
"Being Flynn" was adapted by writer-director Paul Weitz from the real Nick Flynn's memoir "Another Bulls**t Night in Suck City." Julianne Moore costars as Nick's tough-talking, broken-hearted mom.
Dano talks about what it was like taking on the role of a real person, addresses the concerns of fans of Flynn's book, and lets us in on how...
