The droid in the back of the E-Wing that tries to stop Sabine is modeled after the original 1977 R2-D2 action figure from Kenner.
Clancy Brown reprises his character Ryder Azadi from Star Wars: Rebels (2014), this time in live action. He voiced various other characters in animated Star Wars productions, such as Savage Opress in Star Wars: The Clone Wars (2008) and an Inquisitor in Star Wars: Tales of the Jedi (2022). In live action, he played Burg in Chapter 6: The Prisoner (2019) of The Mandalorian (2019).
Sabine rides a 614-AvA speeder bike. These bikes are based on concept art by Joe Johnston originally created for Star Wars: Episode VI - Return of the Jedi (1983) and were previously seen in Star Wars: Rebels (2014). According to the 2023 guidebook "Star Wars: Dawn of Rebellion: The Visual Guide", this is the same speeder that Ezra used to ride in the Rebels series. Sabine has added a new purple and yellow paint scheme over It's green and orange paint job (which was also applied by her).
First live-action appearance of Huyang (David Tennant) an architect droid who has served the Jedi Order for centuries, guiding young padawans as they construct their first lightsabers. His databanks possess a complete record of every lightsaber ever constructed within the Temple. Huyang first appeared in A Test of Strength (2012).
A dedication ceremony for a mural in honor and memory of the Star Wars: Rebels team takes place early in the story. The mural is a precise recreation of the one seen in the final episode of the animated series Star Wars: Rebels (2014): Family Reunion - and Farewell (2018), tying the two eras - live-action and CGI animation - together.
