Another fun episode by George Tibbles, and truly an about face, all about Steve and Barbara re-thinking about getting married in the first place. Disagreements? Cold feet? Actually, this story always reminded me of something out of LOVE, AMERICAN STYLE. And that show probably did borrow some ideas from MY THREE SONS, especially from Robbie and Katie's courtship and marriage, ya think?
Of course, you don't want it to end this way, and that was the magic of this sitcom, which had its soap opera elements. A great supporting cast with popular character actor Maurice Manson as the reverend. Applause for Eleanor Audley as Mrs. Vincent, also a well known voice actor in such animation classics as CINDERELLA and SLEEPING BEAUTY. Best known as Mother Douglas on GREEN ACRES.
To note, keep an eye on Tramp, the dog, who we all loved. Tramp played a valuable part in the series and was with the show for its entire run, from 1960 to 1972. Tramp (whose real name was Mac) was trained by animal pioneer Frank Inn and reportedly when he did pass, was cremated and buried with Frank Inn. I thought I'd throw that in because Tramp never seemed to get much credit!
SEASON 10 EPISODE 7 remastered/color.
