After beaching off Ken in Greta Gerwig’s Barbie and highlighting the hard work of stunt performers in David Leitch’s The Fall Guy, Sony is capitalizing on the “Gosling-ssance” with the release of his 2011 thriller Drive on 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray. The brutal film from Nicolas Winding Refn drips with style, presents Gosling in one of his most iconic roles, and is due for a comeback in crisp, clean, high definition.
Here’s Sony‘s official synopsis for Drive:
Ryan Gosling stars as a Hollywood stunt driver for movies by day and moonlights as a wheelman for criminals by night. Though a loner by nature, “Driver” can’t help falling in love with his beautiful neighbor Irene (Carey Mulligan), a young mother dragged into a dangerous underworld by the return of her ex-convict husband. After a heist goes wrong, Driver finds himself driving defense for the girl he loves,...

Kristen Stewart is one of the most popular actresses in Hollywood. From Jodie Foster, with whom she worked in Panic Room, to Julianne Moore, with whom she worked in Still Alice, she has worked with some of the best actors in the industry in her career spanning nearly three decades.

"This isn't your territory. It's their territory." Another international remake of a Hollywood classic! China has already remade the 1997 action-horror film about giant snakes called Anaconda, which was a huge hit when it debuted in the 90s. This new version is similar but follows a group of circus performers stranded in a rainforest. They must figure out how to survive when they discover they're marked as bait for the snakes. This Chinese remake stars Terence Yin, Nita Xia, Paul Che, Jiu Kong, Ken Lok, Wang Xing Chen, Wang Gang, Wang Zi Run, Xu Shao Hang, and Wu Hao. The original movie ended up with a few bad direct-to-video sequels (including Lake Placid vs. Anaconda in 2015) and Hollywood has also been trying to reboot it with screenwriter Evan Daugherty hired to write a new script. Until then, this Chinese version might be just as ridiculously entertaining as the original, which infamously...

Don’t expect to see Kristen Stewart in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Although the actor is no stranger to big budget Hollywood tentpoles, from the “Twilight” movies to “Snow White and the Huntsman,” she recently said on the “Not Skinny but Not Fat” podcast that the studio system would have to dramatically change in order for her to sign on to a Marvel tentpole. That, or Greta Gerwig would have to be directing.
“I will likely never do a Marvel movie … it sounds like a fucking nightmare, actually,” Stewart said, noting that she does like making “big movies because I like people to watch them when I’m in them.”
Podcast host Amanda Hirsch said that Stewart could’ve maybe played a version of Spider-Man’s love interest Mary Jane Watson at one point in her career, but the actor said “the system would have to change” in order for...

Here's something you probably didn't expect to see today: A trailer for a Chinese remake of the '90s horror B-movie classic "Anaconda." Yes, really. And, to be perfectly honest, you're probably not prepared for just how bonkers this thing looks. Of course the original movie is pretty bonkers on its own, but this is taking things to another level. Before we discuss this further, it's probably best you watch this insanity for yourself. Check it out above.
So yeah ... much to discuss, much to process. First and foremost, the broad beats of the plot appear to be in line with the original film, with some extra stuff thrown in there. Most notably, there appears to be a lot more giant snake action. The original "Anaconda" had an animatronic snake that was very tough to work with, which limited director Luis Llosa a bit. Here? It's just lots of pretty decent CGI craziness.

After years of being stuck in development hell, "The Crow" remake is finally coming to theaters this summer. It stars Bill Skarsgard ("It") as Eric Draven, the role made famous by the late Brandon Lee in director Alex Proyas' 1994 comic book film of the same name. The reaction to the recently released trailer and images has been mixed, to put it mildly. Now, Proyas himself has weighed in, and the forthcoming remake does not sit well with him.
Proyas took to Facebook recently to share some of his thoughts on this new version of "The Crow," which was directed by Rupert Sanders ("Snow White and the Huntsman"). Proyas, for his part, didn't have anything nice to say, as he even linked to an article from Comic Book Resources titled "The Crow Remake Trailer Gets Staggering Amount of Dislikes on YouTube." After more than 15 years of development hell, the reimagining of “The Crow” will finally hit theaters this summer.
“The Crow” is based on the indie comic book series of the same name by James O’Barr that was originally published back in 1989 by Caliber Press. 30 years ago in 1994, a film adaptation of the comic book by visionary director Alex Proyas was released into theaters, perhaps better known as the movie where star Brandon Lee was accidentally shot and killed on set during the middle of production.
Miramax stepped in and spent $8 million to pick up where production left off and finish the film. “The Crow” went on to gross $93.7 million at the box office against its $23 million budget, and the film eventually became a cult classic. Three lackluster sequels and a television adaptation would follow, however the property had always been earmarked for what current distributor Lionsgate is calling a reimagining.

It may be downright difficult to believe, but "The Crow" remake has finally happened. Yes, happened, not happening, as had been promised for so long. Lionsgate has now dropped the first trailer for the long-awaited new adaptation of the comic book by James O'Barr. After all these years, we are, at long last, going to see what Eric Draven looks like in a modern context a full 30 years after the first film arrived in 1994. Check it out for yourself above.
This time around, it's Bill Skarsgård, best known for his role as Pennywise the clown in the "It" movies, taking on the role of Eric Draven. Noticeably, his look is, well, different than what we've seen previously, most notably when the late Brandon Lee originated the role in director Alex Proyas' version of "The Crow." Whether that look is better or worse is a matter left to individual opinion, but...

Nowadays, it seems odd to remember a time when the acclaimed, Oscar-nominated Kristen Stewart wasn’t considered a great actor, or even a good one. But from 2008 to 2012, that was the prevailing opinion about the Los Angeles-born performer’s abilities — or, at the very least, the prevailing opinion about her on the internet.
A child actor who worked consistently since she was 12, when she portrayed Jodie Foster’s daughter in David Fincher thriller “Panic Room,” Stewart practically exploded into a global film star when she headlined 2008’s “Twilight,” based on the popular vampire teen romance novels by Stephenie Meyer. Opposite instant sex symbol Robert Pattinson, Stewart was the moody, shy, awkward Bella Swan, the type of female heroine whose specificity takes a backseat to general relatability, so the tween girls reading the books can imagine themselves in her shoes.

The films in the running for the 2024 Best Visual Effects Oscar are “The Creator,” “Godzilla Minus One,” “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3,” “Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One,” and “Napoleon.” Our odds currently indicate that “Godzilla Minus One” (10/3) is the frontrunner, followed in order by “The Creator” (18/5), the new “Guardians” entry (9/2), “Napoleon” (9/2), and the latest “Mission: Impossible” chapter (9/2).
Included among the 17 individuals in this lineup are 13 first-timers who constitute the category’s largest newcomer rate since the minimum annual amount of nominated films was set at five in 2011. Yesterday, we saw the first images of what Bill Skarsgard of the It films is going to look like as goth rocker Eric Draven in director Rupert Sanders’ (Snow White and the Huntsman) remake of the 1994 classic The Crow (watch it Here). There weren’t a lot of positive reactions, with many fans comparing Skarsgard’s look – which Sanders said was a mixture of his own look in the ’90s, “when we were squat-raving in London,” with modern influences like Post Malone and Lil Peep – to Jared Leto’s poorly-received version of The Joker in Suicide Squad. One person who took to social media to blast the look of the new Eric Draven was Alex Proyas, who directed the ’94 version of The Crow.
Sharing one of the images, Proyas said, “Eric Draven’s having a bad hair day. Next reboot thanks.” In the comments, he continued to mock the look:...

Kristen Stewart has brought in a revolution in Hollywood. She has never been the one to go by the books. By the looks of it, she has been doing alright so far. Although she was a bit worried about being labeled an outcast in the industry in the beginning, she has let go of those reservations for good and is basically thriving.
When Kristen Stewart got involved in the infamous scandal with the director of a movie while in a relationship with Robert Pattinson, people thought it was the end of her career. Then she opened up about her sexuality, and people once again thought it was over for her. However, she has proved them wrong again and again. She has hit the industry once again with an opinion that might spell trouble for her.

Actress Kristen Stewart reportedly has “crashed” Robert Pattinson’s 37th birthday party. The 33-year-old actress romanced her “Twilight” co-star, who turned 37 in May, from 2009 to 2013 and the director of the vampire film Catherine Hardwick, 68, has now revealed there is no bad blood between the former couple – who split over Kristen’s cheating scandal.

To quote the great Taylor Swift, “August slipped away like a moment in time.” September has arrived, and with it, a countdown to certain films and shows leaving Netflix at the end of the 30-day month. Penny Marshall’s “A League of Their Own” (1992) has one more month to teach you that “There’s no crying in baseball,” and why not watch it in support of the Prime Video series that can’t seem to catch a break? If you’re more in the mood for a childish story and magical whimsy, the person you need is “Nanny McPhee” (2005).
Franchise films exiting the streamer’s rotation this month include “Rocky,” “Rocky II,” “Rocky III,” “Rocky IV” and “Rocky V.” Along with those wrestling movies, other films departing at the end of September are “Snow White & the Huntsman,” “Star Trek,” “Star Trek Into Darkness,” “Titanic” and “Warm Bodies.”
