This was definitely my favorite episode. A spooky old house, ghostly goings-on, cobwebby crypt, what's not to love? I'm surprised it didn't originally air around Halloween, but according to IMDb it aired in May. One weird thing was when Longworth spoke about the house likely being torn down, saying who wants a drafty old house. That was an odd thing to say. An old house like that would go for big bucks due to its age, size, and history. No one would tear it down. It's worth too much as it is.
The plot itself is pretty basic for this show, and we have the usual suspects who always lie to start with, and Jim has to dig for info and hound them until they tell the truth. That happens every time. But this whole spooky house thing, that was great.
