And many have fond memories of Lori Loughlin’s Abigail Stanton, who was written off the show following the actor’s legal problems. And that’s just the tip of the iceberg. Here are 10 other actors even some dedicated Hearties may have forgotten appeared on When Calls the Heart.

Hallmark Channel’s The Way Home has raised plenty of questions heading into its season finale on March 26. From the mystery of what happened to Jacob to the overarching question of whether it’s possible to change the past, the time-travel series isn’t afraid to grapple with some big issues. The show also has yet to reveal exactly how many people know that time travel is possible. While Kat, Alice, and Elliot are all aware the pond is a portal to the past, it’s not yet clear if Del is in on the secret. But Andie MacDowell thinks she probably has her suspicions.

If you were concerned that Hallmark might be moving away from the series business after recent cancellations, The Way Home Season 1 Episode 1 should have allayed those fears.
In one fell swoop, it expands and elevates the magic of Good Witch and the sense of family from Chesapeake Shores.
What more could we ask from a new series than to incorporate what we have enjoyed from past projects while introducing us to an entirely new world?
The first thing of note is the cast, particularly the women at the heart of the Landry family.
Andie MacDowell is a well-respected actor known for a barrage of successful films, who previously starred in an early Hallmark drama series, Cedar Cove, and stars as matriarch Del Landry.
Chyler Leigh, who stars as Kat Landry, has also worked with Hallmark previously but is best known for her roles as Lexie Grey on Grey's Anatomy and Alex Danvers on Supergirl.

The Way Home is adding another big star to its cast.
Hallmark announced Tuesday that Chyler Leigh has joined the cast of its new original primetime series.
The project is slated to begin production later this month for a 2023 premiere on Hallmark Channel.
Leigh plays Kat Landry, who moved away from her small, Canadian farm town of Port Haven many years ago following a family tragedy, and remains estranged from her mother Del (Andie MacDowell) to this day.
With her marriage coming to an end and having just been laid off from her job, Kat decides to return home after receiving an unexpected letter from Del urging her to come back.
Although her 15-year-old daughter Alice is none-too-thrilled, Kat and her daughter arrive at her family’s farm, though the reunion isn’t what Kat had envisioned.

“I love the obsessive mind, and I’ve always been an obsessive person,” says author Caroline Kepnes, whose talent for the all-consuming has benefited book publishers and Hollywood showrunners alike for the past seven years.
In 2014, Kepnes published the thriller “You,” introducing readers to Joe Goldberg, a bookish heartthrob whose highbrow taste and social media know-how made him a dream lover for unsuspecting women — before he eventually revealed himself as a serial killer. We’re still a couple of weeks out from The Boys returning with its second season, but based on the footage we’ve seen so far, it certainly looks as if we’re in for another wild ride. One that may even top the first run of the show, which was one of the best things that we’d seen on television in a long time.
Of course, trying to predict how something as crazy as The Boys is going to end up is a fool’s errand, but let’s not forget that it won’t be the only new thing arriving on Amazon Prime in September. Far from it, in fact.

An election season is fast-approaching in the U.S. So for its new releases in September 2020, Amazon Prime is bringing back one of its most political shows.
The Boys season 2 premieres its first three episodes on September 4. Though the show on its face is a superhero story, viewers of season 1 will know it’s really about America’s troubling embrace of entertainment with fascism. Sounds fun and not at all terrifying right before a presidential election!
That’s not the only bleak Amazon original on the schedule for September. British TV adaptation Utopia arrives on September 25. This Gillian Flynn-produced series follows fans of a comic book who believe it predicts…world-ending pandemics. Darn it. Amazon’s only original film this month is a…documentary about voter suppression from Liz Garbus called All In: The Fight for Democracy. Yikes.

Yikes.

Netflix is making a push into the romance drama space, giving 10-episode series orders to two scripted dramas, Virgin River and Sweet Magnolias, based on the best-selling novels by Robyn Carr and Sherryl Woods.
The Virgin River series, produced by Reel World Management and Roma Roth, is a contemporary romance based on Carr’s Harlequin book series. It centers around Melinda Monroe, who answers an ad to work as a nurse practitioner in the remote California town of Virgin River thinking it will be the perfect place to start fresh and leave her painful memories behind. But she soon discovers that small-town living isn’t quite as simple as she expected and that she must learn to heal herself before she can truly make Virgin River her home.
Sue Tenney will serve as showrunner and executive producer. Roth and Chris Perry will executive produce. Production is slated to begin next year.

For an actor whose own voice was removed and later dubbed by another star in her debut film 35 years ago, things have managed to turn out all right for Andie MacDowell. And now, just as the South Carolina native is about to hit a milestone birthday in three weeks she has one of her most intense and complex performances ready for its close up when the new indie drama Love After Love opens Friday in New York followed by a national rollout including La on April 6.
Playing a woman struggling with grief over the death of her husband and embarking on a new life , MacDowell is probably about as raw and revealing as she has ever been in a screen career that includes a number of high profile films including Sex, Lies And Videotape, Groundhog Day, Four Weddings And A Funeral, Short Cuts, Unstrung Heroes, Magic Mike Xxl and numerous others.
