As an actress, Rebecca Ferguson is no doubt stunning and talented, but she recently stated that playing Lady Jessica in Dune and its eagerly awaited sequel has made her feel even more beautiful. And, to be honest, we totally agree.
During a recent interview, the Swedish actress, 40, talked about how playing the strong and mysterious Lady Jessica has challenged her as an actress and given her a newfound sense of confidence and allure. Ferguson added that the character’s grace, strength, and intelligence have all helped to make her appear more “attractive” and powerful than before.

Also, did you know that the director, Denis Villeneuve, even convinced her to join the cast by telling her that her character, Lady Jessica, would be expanded from the original script? Currently, Dune appears to be one of Ferguson’s most ambitious undertakings to date.

Emily Blunt had a difficult time filming certain scenes in her feature Girl on the Train. The actor was expecting a child while shooting the film, making it difficult to get too physical. But she later realized performing while pregnant actually served her performance in another way.

Blunt was able to deliver one of her most critically praised performances with Girl on the Train. She played a disturbed woman in the feature with severe memory issues who gets caught up in a murder investigation. With “The Devil Wears Prada” (2007), “The Girl on the Train” (2017) and now “Oppenheimer,” Emily Blunt has reaped three BAFTA bids for individual performances. She also contended for Rising Star in 2007. But she has gone home empty-handed. That could change this year.
Her two prior bids were for films that didn’t make the cut for Best Picture. Conversely, “Oppenheimer” is widely expected to win that award. That could give the edge to Blunt in the highly competitive Supporting Actress race as it did for Helena Bonham Carter (“The King’s Speech”), Judi Dench (“Shakespeare in Love”) and Juliette Binoche (“The English Patient”).
Praise for Blunt’s performance and career as a whole would fit the bill of the likes of Miriam Margolyes (“The Age of Innocence”), Sigourney Weaver (“The Ice Storm”) and Tilda Swinton (“Michael Clayton”). They had delivered many lauded performances, but had never been rewarded.

Emily Blunt, the guest on this episode of The Hollywood Reporter’s Awards Chatter podcast, has been described by The Daily Beast as “one of the most impressive actresses working today,” by The Guardian as “the biggest British female movie star of her generation” and by her three-time collaborator Meryl Streep as “the best young actress I’ve worked with in some time, perhaps ever.” She already has Critics Choice, Golden Globe and SAG awards on her mantelpiece. And yet, she has never been so much as nominated for an Oscar.

“The Girl on the Train,” “A Quiet Place,” “Mary Poppins Returns,” “The Devil Wears Prada,” “Sicario,” “Looper,” “The Young Victoria.” Those are just a select few of the many acclaimed performances delivered by Emily Blunt in her first two decades as a star. In a new image, Rachel Zegler is transformed into the iconic Disney Princess, surrounded by her Seven Dwarfs. As of today, the film, which was originally set to open on March 22, 2024, has been delayed to March 21, 2025.
Zegler stars as Snow White and Gal Gadot plays The Evil Queen. Ansu Kabia co-stars as the Huntsman and Andrew Burnap plays a new character named Jonathan. The Seven Dwarfs have been reimagined for the remake, and Zegler has said that this new iteration will not be as focused on the romantic subplot but instead will show Snow White become the leader her father encouraged her to be. The reimagined storyline and Zegler’s casting — she will be the first Latina to play Snow White — have generated some online criticism for veering from the source material.

The cast of Friends used collective bargaining to level out their salaries. As an ensemble cast, they wanted to be treated as equals as their wages grew from $22K per episode to $1M. Each cast member of Friends earned around $90 million in base salary alone from the show before the addition of any backend bonuses and ongoing royalties from syndication, racking each actor up an impressive net worth. For 10 seasons, the Friends cast was considered the gold standard of sitcom television, but where do they stand financially today? Here is the net worth of the Friends cast ranked from richest to poorest.

“Oppenheimer” is one of Christopher Nolan‘s best movies according to both critics and audiences. While the film’s script, technical achievements, and directing are all being praised, however, it’s the cast that makes the film pop. Simply put, it is one of the most stacked casts in cinema history outside of, say, “Avengers: Endgame.”
Cillian Murphy leads the line in the titular role of Robert J. Oppenheimer, the father of the atomic bomb, while “Endgame” actor himself, Robert Downey Jr., portrays political player Lewis Strauss and Emily Blunt is Oppenheimer’s wife, Kitty. Matt Damon, Kenneth Branagh, Tom Conti, Florence Pugh, and Alden Ehrenreich also appear. As such, our odds charts are currently predicting that “Oppenheimer” will land not one acting bid, not two acting bids, but three nominations for its cast. Here’s the rundown.
Best Actor — Cillian Murphy
This is the obvious one and for good reason.

Murder mysteries are hardly ever uninteresting. We all grew up reading Agatha Christie’s novels. There was no way that they would not keep us hooked. Murder mysteries have taken various forms over the years. While some were successful, many were duds. Knives Out was one of a kind, but then we also had a film called The Girl On The Train, which was quite the “train” wreck. If murder mysteries are not done well and do not tickle your brain to figure out who the murderer might be, they become a bore. Faithfully Yours dangerously treads the line between being interesting and predictable, at the same time. But why? Written and directed by André van Duren; and other writers include Paul Jan Nelissen and Elisabeth Lodeizen, Faithfully Yours centers around a woman’s disappearance from the scene of a crime and her friends and family trying to get to...

Haley Bennett (Cyrano, Swallow, The Girl On The Train) is set to lead Night and Day, Justine Waddell’s adaptation of Virginia Woolf’s novel, to be directed by BAFTA nominee Tina Gharavi (I Am Nasrine, Cleopatra: African Queens). WestEnd Films has boarded the the German-Irish-u.K. co-production and is introducing the project to buyers in Cannes.
Set in an era when glass ceilings were made of concrete, Bennett will play Katharine Hilbery — one woman who insisted on reaching for the stars. Based on what has been called Woolf’s funniest novel, Night and Day is described as an “unromantic comedy” about a passionate astronomer who does everything she can to avoid romantic love and marriage. Contemporary in tone, the story of Katharine’s bold challenge to the Edwardian patriarchy is set against the backdrop of the suffragette movement and advances in science and technology, at the turn of the 20th century.

Netflix is on the cusp of taking down a wide selection of movies and TV series.
The streaming service removes numerous titles each month, but without fanfare; unless you happen to select the thing that’s about to leave, you will have no idea there’s a limited amount of time left to watch.

Emily Blunt is no stranger to switching up her appearance or her physique to accommodate the film she’s doing. She had to go through a similar process for Girl on the Train, where she couldn’t stand her transformation.
Why Emily Blunt signed up for ‘Girl on the Train’ Emily Blunt | Axelle/Bauer-Griffin/FilmMagic
Girl on the Train was a 2016 psychological thriller based on Paula Hawkins’ novel of the same name written. Blunt played alcoholic Rachel Watson, a character who found herself entangled in a missing persons case. The book was already a worldwide phenomenon before it hit theaters. Blunt was able to recognize its popularity from her travels alone.
“I hadn’t read the book when I got approached about it. I’d just seen everyone reading the book on vacation or on the subway — the train! So when I was approached, I read it and very quickly...

With her Best TV Movie/Miniseries Actress bid for Prime Video’s “The English,” Emily Blunt is now a four-time Screen Actors Guild Award nominee. Since she already clinched the Best Film Supporting Actress trophy for 2018’s “A Quiet Place,” she is on a path to becoming the 14th female recipient of individual SAG Awards for both big and small screen acting. Given the fact that her 40th birthday precedes this year’s ceremony by only three days, she would be the fifth youngest woman to ever pull off this feat.
The quartet of younger actresses who would rank ahead of Blunt on said list is comprised of Angelina Jolie, Helen Hunt, Halle Berry and Kate Winslet. Winslet received a bookend miniseries actress trophy for “Mare of Easttown” just last year at age 46.

Filming is now underway on a creature feature titled Daddy’s Head, Deadline has revealed this morning, which comes from writer-director Benjamin Barfoot (Double Date).
“Amp is handling world sales and will be shopping the project at the upcoming European Film Market,” Deadline notes in their report.
In the film, “A boy and his young, recently widowed stepmother find themselves in fear for their lives after they are visited by a strange and unexplainable creature. Something that appears to mimic a horrifying version of the boy’s recently deceased father.”
Julia Brown (World On Fire), Rupert Turnbull (Nativity Rocks), Nathaniel Martello-White (Small Axe: Mangrove) and Charles Aitken star.
“Daddy’s Head is one of the most singularly original genre films I’ve ever read,” said executive producer James Norrie. “Combining rich and textured characters dealing with grief and the heart-breaking longing that a child experiences when losing a parent with...
