In spite of almost two decades having passed since the release of the first episode, The Office’s legacy still lives on in the hearts of its fans. One of their most favorite onscreen employees, the charming receptionist Pam Beesly steals the whole romantic line of the sitcom. However, the Pam actress, Jenna Fischer, seems to stay out of the spotlight now.
It may come as a surprise, but over the course of 11 years that have passed since The Office’s conclusion, Fischer has made a number of far cries from the role which made her a star, with some of the projects with our favorite Pam actress being enlisted below.
Her first post-Office role was the one in Owen Wilson and Zach Galifianakis’ dramedy titled Are You Here (2013). This movie was received quite poorly, and the critics were sure it was a shameful waste of the actors’ talents, including Fischer’s comedy potential.

Khan (Young Rock, Always Be My Maybe) and McKenna (Son of Zorn) are writing and exec producing the series for Universal Television, where the former’s Fierce Baby is based with an overall deal.
Laid revolves around a woman who finds out that her former lovers are dying in unusual ways and must go back through her “sex timeline” to confront her past in order to move forward. Peacock says Laid is a “f—ked up rom-com where the answer to ‘Why can’t I find love, is there something wrong with me?’ is a resounding ‘Yes. There is. The problem is definitely you.’”

Tell us how you really feel about your time on The West Wing, Rob Lowe.
Lowe played deputy communications director Sam Seaborn for the first four seasons of the NBC political drama. But he surprisingly left after Season 4, even though the show was a smash hit having won four consecutive Outstanding Drama Series Emmys during that stretch.
At the time, Lowe’s exit was crafted as a professional decision based on the character having less to do. But there apparently may have been more to it.
In a podcast interview with Stitcher Studios’ Podcrushed, Lowe had a few choice words about his time on the show. He said leaving was “the best thing I ever did” and called it “a super unhealthy relationship.”
He added that he “felt very undervalued” and said, “I did not have a good experience.” He tried to make it work, he claims, but “I walked...

Rob Lowe isn’t mincing words about his exit from The West Wing.
The actor called his decision to leave the the hit NBC drama “the best thing I ever did” in a podcast interview with Stitcher Studios’ Podcrushed, likening his time there to “a super unhealthy relationship.” Lowe says that he “felt very undervalued” on the show, adding: “I did not have a good experience.” He insists that he “tried to make it work,” but he ultimately compares it to a toxic romance: “I walked away from the most popular girl at school, but I also knew that it was a super unhealthy relationship,...

“Law & Order” fans, you have Rob Lowe to thank for the entire franchise. As does Dick Wolf’s bank account. At least, Lowe says this, with his tongue a bit in cheek (but also with some accuracy). As the star of Fox’s “9-1-1: Lone Star” and Netflix’s “Unstable” recently told Variety’s Awards Circuit Podcast, Lowe starred in Wolf’s 1988 feature flop “Masquerade.” It was just the kind of movie disappointment that would have sent Wolf back to TV — and two years later, “Law & Order” premiered. “I remember him saying to me how frustrated he was in the movie business, that he was going to write a pilot,” Lowe said. “And he wrote ‘Law and Order.’ And the rest is history. You’re welcome. Yeah, I’m happy to provide the bomb that powers your rise to dominance.”

Like father, like son? Like…no. At least not in Unstable (arriving March 30), a new ensemble comedy co-created by 9-1-1: Lone Star frontman Rob Lowe and his youngest son, writer-actor John Owen Lowe (The Grinder). The pair put together a warm office comedy about a family duo who love each other but, as they say onscreen, “drive each other crazy.” The elder Lowe plays unconventional tech mogul Ellis Dragon. John Owen plays his socially awkward son, who is called back from New York by Ellis’ common-sense CFO Anna to help his newly widowed father keep control of both his biotech company and his sanity. Or, as John Owen characterizes it, “Ellis is an eccentric, borderline insane man-child with pure intentions, despite the constant wake of chaos he creates around him. Jackson carries the opposite energy of his dad into all social situations.” (Credit: Netflix) Lauded as a good-hearted,...

Exclusive: ABC is developing Worst House on the Block, a half-hour comedy series from 20th Television.
Written by Niki Schwartz-Wright (Pivoting) and to be directed by Natalia Anderson (Maggie), Worst House on the Block has a Beverly Hillbillies vibe to it. In the show, when a poor family from South Texas inherits the worst house on the block in a chic L.A. neighborhood, they cause quite a stir among their new neighbors. Tensions may flare, but ultimately, we’ll watch as three different families, with nothing in common but their Zip code and how overwhelmed they feel by the sheer number of Love Island episodes there are to watch, start to find common ground and, slowly but surely, friendship.
Schwartz-Wright and Anderson executive produce with 3 Arts’ Oly Obst.
Most recently, Schwartz-Wright served as co-executive producer on Fox’s comedy series Pivoting. Before that, she was a co-executive producer on the NBC comedy series Abby’s.

Fred Savage was accused of sexually assaulting a former crew member who worked on “The Wonder Years” reboot and would routinely “verbally harass and belittle” below-the-line staff on set, according to a group of six women who brought up the allegations to Disney Hr ahead of his public ousting in May, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The star of the original “Wonder Years” was fired as director and executive producer of its reboot following an investigation into charges of inappropriate behavior, a spokesman for 20th Television confirmed to TheWrap in early May. Fred Savage, who serves as a director and executive producer on ABC’s “The Wonder Years,” has been fired due to the findings of an investigation about his conduct on set.
Multiple employees complained about Savage’s behavior while working on “The Wonder Years,” a reboot of the ’80s-’90s series of the same name that starred Savage as Kevin Arnold. The nature of the complaints remains unclear. However, a spokesperson for Disney-owned 20th Television confirmed that allegations were made and that Savage had been terminated.

Mixon will play Wendy, Tyler’s mom, and a barista at a coffee counter where Brianna works as a cashier.

Judd Apatow and brothers Kenny and Keith Lucas are teaming on a new comedy for Universal Pictures. The semi-autobiographical film will center on the siblings’ lives as identical twins growing up in New Jersey.
The Lucas brothers are writing and starring in the film, with Apatow set to produce. Jarrad Paul and Andrew Mogel (“The Grinder”) will co-write the still-untitled movie.

From 2003 to 2018 he was also a regular or recurring on series “Code Black,” “The Grinder,” “Californication,” “Brothers and Sisters,” “Dr. Vegas” and “The Lyon’s Den.” Then there was the scene-stealing turn as a plastic surgeon in 2013’s “Behind the Candelabra,” and roles in U.K. episodic series productions including 2005’s “Beach Girls,” 2015’s “You, Me and the Apocalypse” and 2019’s “Wild Bill.”
Last year, Lowe landed his biggest hit yet as a TV leading man when he moved into Ryan Murphy’s orbit as the star of Fox’s “9-1-1: Lone Star.” In the spinoff of the procedural about emergency responders, Lowe plays Owen Strand,...

“Superstore” may be coming to an end, but the world of the show could live on in the form of a spinoff.
Variety has confirmed that NBC is developing a spinoff entitled “Bo & Cheyenne,” which would see Johnny Pemberton and Nichole Sakura reprise their roles from the mothership series. In the new show, Bo and Cheyenne balance their big dreams with the harsh realities of being a blue-collar family in America.
The spinoff hails from writers and executive producers Bridget Kyle and Vicky Luu, both of whom are co-executive producers on “Superstore.” “Superstore” creator Justin Spitzer would also executive produce via The Spitzer Holding Company along with Ruben Fleischer and David Bernad of The District. Universal Television would produce. Spitzer is under an overall deal with the studio.
Sakura has been a series regular on “Superstore” throughout its six-season run. Pemberton recurs on the show as Bo, an aspiring rapper,...

To paraphrase a famous saying: ‘Tis better to have loved a TV show, and lost it after one season, than never to have loved at all.
Throughout the years, TV fans have loved and lost a lot of quality series, too many of which were axed after just one season despite their massive potential. Now that another TV season is behind us — which brought the cancellations of one-and-done series like Emergence and The Baker and the Beauty — we’re getting a bit nostalgic for dozens more shows that departed too soon.
