- TriviaKoichi Takano took a break as director of special effects for the Ultraman series, to make this TV show which was initially only produced by Akira Tsuburaya. But for the English speaking market, the TV series was cut into this film, which Akira Tsuburaya oversaw; hence his credit as director - and Koichi Takano as series director (of the original show footage).

Campy, creative, fun
Okay 10 stars may be overdoing it but this movie is pure nostalgia for me and everything just screams classic camp. The movie is split between the animated characters and vehicle interiors and the various models and toys used for the action and outside segments. The voice acting crosses the bad line and becomes "so bad it's good" and many laughs will be had. The dialogue is hilariously weird at times as well as the animation. The characters are super eccentric and will spout amazingly quotable dialogue around every 5 seconds. As for the story it's surprisingly competent with well crafted segments and pacing. The vehicles and models on display are crazy awesome and the animation looks... alright. The stop motion action scenes are actually really good though and ooze creativity. This movie is absolutely hilarious through and through. It's available for free on you-tube (IMDB won't let me write it normally) and it's highly worth the watch. Also perfect for watching with friends (perhaps while stoned).
