Game of Thrones and The Witcher had one thing in common. They veered too far off the source text and kept going until the fans tasted nothing but bitterness and the critics foamed at their mouths with razor-sharp expletives. Star Trek: Discovery could very well be headed down the same road after one Season 5 announcement throws the original fans off their seat with a measure of abject horror.

Given the state of adaptations, remakes, and spin-offs in the current era of the entertainment industry, it can be said with enough accumulated expertise gained through experience that it never ends well for those who overstay their welcome. Currently, Star Trek: Discovery aims to do just that with its storyline which has by far run its course after launching to warm reviews in September 2017.

The last time Netflix’s The Witcher looked like it was off to a good start was before it even premiered. While having an avid fan of the franchise as its lead star could have been a great advantage to the TV show, it quickly turned out that neither the showrunner nor the writer’s room cared about the source material. Frustrated by having to constantly fight for every bit of lore, Henry Cavill quit the series after S3.
But Netflix simply sent a new Geralt of Rivia our way… Much to fans’ dismay.

Controller in hand, Park vividly recalls directing a digital Keanu Reeves to try and stop a murder, all while medical tubes protruded from his body. The tubes plugged into a port on his torso, and they were ready to pump chemicals inside. Unlike the digital augments that buffed his video game character,...

The upcoming season of The Witcher has a lot of hardcore fans very concerned. Ever since it was announced that Henry Cavill would be leaving the role of the beloved Geralt of Rivia, audiences have been skeptical about the future of the series. When The Witcher returns to Netflix with its fourth and penultimate season, it will be with a new actor playing Geralt of Rivia. As we're sure you're aware, Henry Cavill left the series shortly after season 3, with The Hunger Games star Liam Hemsworth tapped to replace him soon after.
While we've spotted Hemsworth in set photos, an official look at the Australian actor in the role has been shared by Entertainment Weekly (via SFFGazette.com).
That's accompanied by a teaser which we've also included below. It doesn't reveal much but is a suitably moody glimpse at what's to come which points to the actor being a decent successor to the Man of Steel star.
"His look has been in development for over a year, so it’s thrilling to finally share an official sneak peek of Liam Hemsworth as Geralt of Rivia," The Witcher showrunner Lauren S. Hissrich tells them.

It’s been almost ten years since The Hunger Games’ last installment hit the cinemas, but nobody from the main cast has been left in the shadows ever since.
Though Suzanne Collins’ widely famous franchise is expanding its universe and has recently got a brand new ramification titled The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes, the original movies are still a frequent binge-watch choice for many fans craving some nostalgia from the past years.
Back in the day, The Hunger Games was a huge success garnering more than $3 billion in total, and it definitely came as a big moment of fame for the franchise’s leading actors whose careers later on skyrocketed for good.

"Leave now! And tell your kind about me... Tell your kind a new God will soon rule!" Oh damn!! Holy hell this is awesome. A badass fan-film has debuted online called Logan the Wolf, made by a French stuntman / filmmaker / fight choreographer named Godefroy Ryckewaert. He's most recently worked as a fighter choreographer on The Witcher series, and also the upcoming The Crow remake. Set in a desolate, post-apocalyptic world, the 12-minute short film follows Logan as he navigates a hostile environment, facing both old and new enemies. The narrative focuses on Logan's struggle with the burden of his past. This looks like it's inspired by the underrated French action film Brotherhood of the Wolf. It reinvents Wolverine as if he were a fighter in a time with Vikings and fur-clad warriors. It's extremely violent & uber brutal, and is pretty much one giant 10 minute action sequence with kick ass stunt work from Ryckewaert's team.

Tom Felton, best-known for his role as Draco Malfoy in the “Harry Potter” franchise, is to star in the $15 million action/sci-fi film “Altered,” alongside Richard Brake, Igor Jijikine (“Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull”), Aggy K. Adams (“The Witcher”) and Liza Bugulova.
The film is set in an alternate present, where most of the human population have undergone genetic enhancements. Two courageous outcasts, Leon (Felton) and Chloe (Bugulova), become embroiled in a battle for justice within a society fractured by genetic disparity and in the grip of corrupt politicians.
“Altered” is directed by Finnish filmmaker Timo Vuorensola, best-known for creating the “Iron Sky” franchise and who most recently directed “Jeepers Creepers: Reborn” and “97 Minutes,” starring Jonathan Rhys Meyers and Alec Baldwin.

Recent images from the set of The Witcher season 4 can provide perhaps some small measure of reassurance to those who have wondered if Liam Hemsworth can fill the very large shoes left by the Netflix series’ previous lead actor, Henry Cavill. The performances will no doubt be very different, but come on! The look is pretty spot on!

More photos from the set of The Witcher season 4 have been shared online, and this time we have an actual first glimpse of Liam Hemsworth suited-up as Geralt of Rivia!
The recent third season of Netflix's fantasy adventure series was original Geralt actor Henry Cavill's last, as the Man of Steel star announced his decision to part ways with the streamer's adaptation of the best-selling novels back in 2022.
Hemsworth (The Hunger Games) will take over as the titular monster hunter from season 4 on, and a recent photo from the set featured his stunt-double Joel Adrian in-costume. Adrian looked enough like Hemsworth to fool a lot of people, but these snaps spotlight the man himself.
The photos show Hemsworth as Geralt doing battle with Vilgefortz (Mahesh Jadu), and appear to be recreating a scene from season 3 which saw the mage emerge victorious. There is also one shot of Geralt...

Dear friends, we've been waiting for this for an incredibly long time, and it's finally happened! The long-awaited third season of Bridgerton landed on Netflix yesterday, May 16, two years after Season 2 was released. But amidst all the incredibly high and loud excitement among viewers of one of Netflix's flagship series, there has been fan angst over the streaming service's policy. After all, we waited two full years to finally get... just four episodes of the new season.
Yes, folks, back in December 2023, it was announced that Bridgerton Season 3 would be split into two parts, with a one-month difference in release. For many, this is very disappointing news, and while the Part 1 finale left many on the edge of their seats, such a long wait left an underwhelming impression. So why was Season 3 split in half, and is Netflix's decision to do so putting Bridgerton's popularity at risk of plummeting in the near future?...

Wes Ball’s Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes marks a significant departure from its predecessors by integrating complex human stories with the ongoing saga of apes. The film centers on Freya Allan’s portrayal of Mae, a young woman navigating a post-apocalyptic world dominated by intelligent apes. Allan’s performance has been widely praised for its emotional depth and complexity. As the sole significant human character, Mae’s interactions with Owen Teague’s Noa and other ape characters bring new dimensions to the narrative. From Feral to Key Player Initially introduced as a seemingly feral human, Mae quickly proves her intelligence and strategic

In the last few weeks, we’ve witnessed Microsoft taking drastic measures and shutting down Hi-Rush studio Tango Gameworks, Redfall creator Arakne, and the two other studios. The tech giant believes that Xbox as a brand needs “small games” to garner its old prestige and get ahead of the competition. With the shutting down of such major studios, we thought we’d see further layoffs and reorganization of studios under Microsoft.
However, in a shocking move, Xbox and Activision have announced a new studio called Elsewhere Entertainment. While the brand-new studio features industry vets who’ve worked on successful games such as The Witcher and The Last of Us, many people in the community can’t believe Microsoft is closing well-established studios to open new ones.
