What has set this show apart from its peers since the beginning has been the relatable characters. Despite the teen angst and despite the supernatural storyline, it's the excellent, sympathetic characters that truly keep this show solidly grounded.
The scene between Raphael and his younger sister is just one such perfect moment that other shows would either gloss over or ham up. Yet here, it is handled with such deft mastery of emotion that truly demonstrates Shadowhunters has grown up to be a show emotionally suitable for mature audiences and even managing to tug the calcified heart strings of this crusty old curmudgeon!
More please!
