A Must See for Fans of the Director
Michael Brooke on Dr. Jekyll and Miss Osbourne (2015)
**** (out of 4)
This thirty-two minute documentary has writer Michael Brookes discussing his love for Walerian Borowczyk and his film THE STRANGE CASE OF DR. JEKYLL AND MISS OSBOURNE. This is an exceptional documentary and I must admit that my appreciation for the director grew while watching it and it also made me want to check out more of the director's work. Brooke starts off talking about the first time he watched THE STRANGE CASE OF DR. JEKYLL AND MISS OSBOURNE and he discusses how there were very few reviews for it at the time. From here he jumps to the start of the director's career and pretty much goes through every film that he made. If you're a fan of Borowczyk or if you're wanting to get more familiar with his work this here is certainly a must-see. I think it's going to work for whichever side that you're on and it's probably going to at the very least make you want to check out more of the director's films. We get clips from the movies as well as various bits of promotional material so there's a lot of great stuff here.
