The Monday, April 22 live episode of “American Idol” Season 22 proved to be the end of the road for two fan-fave singers: Roman Collins and Jayna Elise. They were the only artists in the Top 12 that failed to earn enough votes from viewers to make it into next week’s all-important Top 10. Host Ryan Seacrest delivered the unfortunate news in front of judges Katy Perry, Luke Bryan and Lionel Richie. The guest mentor for “Billboard #1 Hits” night was Meghan Trainor.
Throughout the competition, Roman sang tunes like “Living for the City” (Auditions round), “Come Together” (Showstopper round), “How Sweet It Is (To Be Loved by You)” (Top 24 round), “Never Would Have Made It”, “It’s a Man’s Man’s Man’s World”, “You’re All I Need to Get By” (Top 14 round) and “Roar” (Top 12 round). Singer-songwriter Katy Perry recently took to social media to express her discontent regarding her fiance Orlando Bloom’s new TV series. ‘Orlando Bloom: To The Edge’ features the British actor attempting daring stunts and extreme sports, something ‘American Idol’ judge Katy Perry clearly isn’t a fan of, reports ‘Mirror.co.uk’.
The show has not been well received by the ‘Roar’ hitmaker.
Katy, 39, voiced her disapproval of her partner’s participation in the programme on her Instagram, advising him to “don’t ever do this again”.
According to ‘Mirror.co.uk’, the three-part series showcases Orlando attempting skydiving, diving underwater without an air tank, and rock climbing.
“The person who has been #OnTheEdge this whole time is me,” Katy said regarding the show’s series trailer released on social media.
“Stream baby daddy @orlandobloom’s show on @peacock now to see why I’m so proud, but don’t ever do this again.

Katy Perry was so blown away by a performance on Monday’s (April 15) episode of American Idol that it caused her top to fall off. The wardrobe malfunction happened after hopeful Roman Collins delivered a jaw-dropping (and dress-dropping) performance of James Brown‘s “It’s A Man’s Man’s Man’s World.” “That song broke my top off,” Perry said as she clutched onto the silver adornment on the front of her outfit. The elaborate top, designed by Kate Barton, featured a sort of metallic anchor arrangement fashioned into a sleeveless blouse. Unfortunately, the “Firework” singer had trouble keeping it all in place. ABC/Instagram “I guess it is a woman’s world,” Perry quipped as the live studio audience cheered at the funny mishap. She then crouched down behind the judge’s table, with just her head poking over the top. “It’s a family show,” she added.

Several other musicians chimed in with their support as well. Keep reading to see what song they’re talking about and what got Kelly Clarkson started doing cover songs.

We feel like we’re on cloud nine listening to this Kellyoke cover.
On her talk show’s musical segment this week, Kelly Clarkson performed a piano-backed rendition of Katy Perry’s hit, “Wide Awake.”
Accompanied by Musical Director Jason Halbert, the singer slowed down the Teenage Dream: The Complete Confection ballad and performed the Perry favorite acoustically, showing off her stellar vocal range.
This isn’t the first time that Clarkson paid homage to Perry. Just last year, the musician sang a version of another Teenage Dream classic, “The One That Got Away,...

Exclusive: Fifth Season is selling more than $1B worth of Apple TV+ content including Jason Momoa-starrer See, Nicole Kidman’s Roar and M. Night Shyamalan’s Servant at the London TV Screenings.
Prentiss Fraser, Fifth Season’s president of TV distribution, said the move realizes the outfit’s long-term strategy of landing big streamer shows that can then be sold in their second window to smaller buyers.
She said there is “little crossover” between Apple TV+ subscribers and regular linear broadcast viewers in crucial territories, which highlights the opportunities for second window. The UK, for example, is estimated to have around 2 million Apple TV+ subs – just 3% of the population.
Fifth Season’s London Apple slate includes four seasons of Shyamalan’s psychological horror Servant, three seasons of Steven Knight’s Momoa sci-fi vehicle See and another three of Octavia Spencer-starring legal drama Truth Be Told. There is also...

Small towns hide secrets. They’re typically really good at it too because the smaller the town it seems the darker the secret they are trying to hide. If you grew up in a tiny Midwest town like I did you would know this to be gospel. Southern noir or Southern Gothic is a special sort of genre that when done right shines a sinister light on those secrets. Add some good old good vs evil to the mix and the supernatural and you’ve got something special. In the case of todays series you had the best of all of these mixed into a twisted, beautiful, epic masterpiece that came happened to be co-launched by a master of horror named Sam Raimi and a gent more known for solving mysteries than writing them… a Hardy Boy himself Shaun Cassidy. The show is one of my favorite TV series of all time,...

Alfred Hitchcock's 1963 classic "The Birds" is a staple of Hollywood cinema, and it had to age a bit to earn its spot in the canon. The film only earned one Oscar nomination for special effects, but it is easily one of the most well-remembered works in the accomplished director's oeuvre. Almost half a century has passed since the film's release and many of its main actors are no longer with us. Most of them went on to have storied careers, some of them were already established figures of the entertainment industry, but unfortunately only two of them are still alive today.
Her character Melanie barely survives "The Birds," but Tippi Hedren is one of two stars in the film that has lived to see the 2020s. Hedren worked with Hitchcock again on his thriller "Marnie," but did not have much of a career afterwards. She did go on to...

A trio of major music publishers are stepping into the legal battle against generative artificial intelligence to stop the use of their copyrighted material to train AI systems, this time in a lawsuit against Anthropic.
Universal Music Group, Concord Music Group and Abkco sued the company in Tennessee federal court Wednesday, accusing it of “systematic and widespread infringement” by copying and distributing lyrics from at least 500 songs from artists such as Katy Perry, the Rolling Stones and Beyoncé.
The lawsuit, which is the first from a music publisher against an AI company over the use of lyrics, was filed in the wake of the Authors Guild — representing a host of prominent fiction authors including George R.R. Martin, Jonathan Franzen and John Grisham — suing OpenAI last month. The leading trade group for writers claimed that the Sam Altman-led company engaged “in a systematic course of mass-scale copyright infringement” to “power their lucrative commercial endeavor.
