The Wedding Singer (1998)
A Funny Movie, But Also A Classic Love Story
I think this is a perfect movie. It has a lot of Adam Sandler's great humor, but it doesn't have all of the silly, gross humor like most of his other movies do. The love story part of it was excellent. It is classic, 2 people really like each other, even though one doesn't know that the other one likes that person. I would recommend this movie to anyone who asks me for a great Adam Sandler movie. This movie most definitely ranks close to the Waterboy and Billy Madison.
Stuart Little (1999)
This was one of the worst films ever made.
I didn't like the movie "Stuart Little." I have to admit, the mouse was awfully cute, but the storyline of the movie was completely different from the storyline of the book. First of all, in the book, the humans didn't talk to Stuart Little or adopt him from an adoption agency. The movie totally skips over the part about the bird that is a major part in the book "Stuart Little." Too many movies today completely miss the point that the book they are made from is trying to express. That is my opinion of the movie "Stuart Little."
To Kill a Mockingbird (1962)
I have mixed emotions on the movie "To Kill A Mockingbird"
I liked the movie "To Kill A Mockingbird," it had very good acting, but there were many parts that were completely skipped over in the movie, but were covered in the book. For example, Mrs. Dubose appeared only once in the movie, but she had a large part in the book. Also, Calpurnia had a much larger role in the book than she did in the movie. Miss Maudie's fire was not mentioned at all in the movie. I know that it would probably take about 5 hours or more to cover everything that was covered in the book, but I think that the movie should have taken as long as it needed to include all of the parts that were in the book.
Psycho (1998)
A very bad re-make, you're wasting your money & time if you see it
The re-make of Psycho was made very poorly. In my opinion, you are wasting your time and money if you see it. The re-make is basically a copy of the original Psycho. I think that the real Psycho was made much better than the re-make. I loved the original. The lines from the re-make are exactly the same as the lines from the original movie. The producer of the re-make was not being very creative. He should have added something else to it or somehow made it better. The Psycho that was made in '98 is just a colorized version of the Psycho made in '60.
For these reasons, I gave the re-make of Psycho a rating of 2.
The only reason I gave it a 2, instead of a 1, is because the actors did a fairly good job.
The Mummy (1999)
Very suspenseful, high action
I think that "The Mummy" is a very good movie. It is very suspenseful and is packed full of action. It has some parts in it that are sort of creepy, but that's what you should expect by the title of it. Some little kids might be scared by some parts of it. Overall, I think it had a very good story and I recommend it.
Death Becomes Her (1992)
It is one of my favorite movies that I've seen. I definitely recommend that you see it.
"Death Becomes Her" is one of my all-time favorite movies. It is very funny, has a good story, and also has a touch of magic in it. If anyone were to ask me how it was, I would tell them that it is most definitely a "must-see movie." I also enjoyed it because it isn't your typical, boring movie. It is not what I think of as a run-of-the-mill type movie. I thoroughly enjoyed it and I hope you will decide to see it too.
