The Hunt (2006)
Suspense Film
I absolutely loved this movie! This movie is directed by the same director as the first Children of the Corn. I went to the premiere in Oklahoma City at the Art Museum. I was really surprised with the ending and the plot kept me interested throughout. I left with a feeling of satisfaction, not one where you're thinking, "Oh, another suspense movie, I knew how that was going to go" but instead, I walked away thinking, "I've never seen anything quite like that." And, my favorite character is the Counterman played by local Oklahoma actor,Brett Bower. For a serious movie, his scenes brought laughter and a smile to my face. You'll have to see it to experience it!
Drifting (2004)
Excellent
Having met the leading man, Brett Bower, who is also the director, I know he's a very sweet and kind guy, so to see him in the role he plays in Drifting, convinces me that without a doubt, he is a darn fine actor! He flawlessly executes the role of being a creepy character who really needs to go to anger management class or prison, either one. :) The plot twists and turns all the way up to the end and that aha! moment of surprise arrives and then you think, "I want to watch this again. I want to watch this again and catch a few things I missed the first time." There is a spiritual theme to the movie, but for everyone who watches it, this is a wake-up call that if your very life was put on the line, would you cling to your faith, your beliefs, or deny it? Put under pressure, what would you do? Everyone who watches DRIFTING has a strong reaction to it in that it challenges them and really makes them think, as well as, they are really impressed with the movie as a whole. Way to go, Brett Bower and CwC Productions!!
Star-Crossed (2003)
Bravo!
Brett Bower does an excellent job of screen writing, acting, producing, and directing this romantic comedy. If you ever want to know what's going on inside the mind of twenty-something men, when it comes to relationships and dating and frustrations, thereof, this is your opportunity for an insider's view. It's funny but clean, folks! And that is a rare combination these days - all compliments to the screenwriter! And there are lots of jokes about things I've never even thought of before - I can't reveal some of my favorite lines, because that'll spoil the movie for you. All the more reason to contact Brett Bower and buy a copy of Star-Crossed, so you can laugh along too. Also, this DVD has a slew of bloopers, outtakes, behind-the-scenes footage, etc., so it's definitely worth your while. The storyline is entertaining, not predictable and Brett Bower has a stellar cast of characters! Again, HILARIOUS with a capitol H!
