Antlers (2021)
Not bad, could have been better
I was waiting to watch this film because of Nick Antosca (one of my favourite series is Channel Zero) and the wendigo (my favourite mythical creature).
I like slow, dark and low budget horror films, where the atmosphere creates the uneasy feeling in me. From that perspective, it was pretty good. The monster was beautiful - however it looked nothing like the original concept of the wendigo.
The characters were okay, although I could not care about any of them really. Probably it's because they were written that way. The.script was okay too, there were no cringey dialogue.
The ending was underwhelming for me, I would have done it differently, much darker.
Post Mortem (2020)
I should like this, but unfortunately don't
As a Hungarian I should like this movie, but unfortunately I don't. It's tasteless, full of really bad jumpscares, the plot has more hole than I could count. The two main characters are hilariously bad actors, especially the little girl. She held the same expression throughout the whole movie and she talked like someone who just happened to wonder into the set by accident. She was beautiful and that's it. They put every single cliche known to mankind into the story, people convulsing left and right, but in a funny way, screaming corpses and loud, totally unnecessary noises every five minutes. I suggest save your time and watch some good horror movie instead. There are lot of fan made videos on youtube in far better quality with better amateur actors.
The Mandalorian: Chapter 4: Sanctuary (2019)
It was a cringe-fest!
The first three episodes were pretty good, I could feel the "old" Star Wars vibes. This one was an abomination. Out of character dialogues and acts, stupid plot. I don't know if they wanted us to like Omera or not, but god, she annoyed me straight to hell. She tried to pressure herself onto a man she barely knew and on top of that, he almost let her do it. It was painful to watch. I felt absolutely no sympathy for the villagers, or any new character, because they were so one dimensional. I hope this episode was a mistake.
