The Boys: Herogasm (2022)
The best episode of the boys
The most gross funny and violent episode. We see the battle that everyone has been waiting for. This episode truly was the perfect combination of everything that makes this show great. Even the side story with frenchie was great. Definitely the best episode and one of the best in general I've seen. Glad the action scene wasn't too clunky like some of the others from earlier seasons.
Obi-Wan Kenobi: Part III (2022)
This one hurt
The scene where vadar was actually acting evil and killing innocents was good. It makes you feel disgust, anger and fear. He then just kind of toys with the man who he thinks and kind of did destroy his life. There was no good emotion for his confrontation with Obi wan.
Very beginning of the episode was good where Obi-wan is meditating. Sees anakin in the dessert. He is clearly haunted by the past and it's a good tone.
Thought the truck scene was gonna be dumb. Wasn't wrong, but I did enjoy him the dialogue about Leah's mother. The fight scene was, boring. The Underground Railroad was boring.
Lastly, the end scene was extremely underwhelming. I watch this show at a fan so this was painful. Guessing it was for non-fans too. A rough episode and likely going to get worse. I just feel nothing from this. Hopefully it gets better. I WANT EPIC STUFF AND THIS IS BORING AS ALL HELL.
Obi-Wan Kenobi: Part II (2022)
A bland beginning
Not horrible but, a bit boring. Nothing really exciting. All the action scenes weren't really exciting. Obi-wan using the force was cool. Him finding out anakin was alive was cool. But in general it just wasn't exciting or fun. A little sad.
Obi-Wan Kenobi: Part I (2022)
A good call to adventure
The chase scene sucks
Other than that I enjoyed the episode. I thought it was a good call to adventure for Obi-wan. It left me thoroughly hopeful and excited for what's to come.
Shingeki no Kyojin: Memories of the Future (2022)
One of the best pieces of media ever
Despite what you think for the ending. This alone as an episode and this twist is one of the best things I've ever seen. Years in the making and perfectly executed. Absolutely beautiful.
The Book of Boba Fett: Chapter 5: Return of the Mandalorian (2022)
You can't make this up
Wow, just wow. What an amazing episode of the mandalorian...oh wait. I forgot this shows about boba fett. Wait...he wasn't even in this episode. Yikes. Wait...the next episode is about the mandalorian visiting baby yoda. There's only 2 episodes left....uhhhh
Like what the hell are they thinking. Yes this was fantastic, but how is the best episode of the show not going to even HAVE THE MAIN CHARACTER. This was an episode from the mandalorian, not the book of boba fett. This is a joke. Like wow, I loved this episode. I can't wait for next weeks with baby yoda, maybe Luke again! BUT THIS IS NOT THE MANDALORIAN HAHAHAHAHHAH. I've lost my mind and so has Disney. The last episode will be about Boba Fett and wow, how disappointing. Image making a skin off that's 8 episodes long and forgetting your main character in 2. There better not be a season 2 of this, and they should just stick to what their good with which is very clearly the mandalorian. People care about that story, the characters, the feeling.
Also, who got drunk and tried sticking as many wacky names in the last 20 minutes of that episode. Like stfu, we don't need that much detail. Kinda feels dump. Pod racing and call backs were cool but all of good Star Wars seems to be that same convo ruin of 20-30% old stuff with the rest being new. To help you wane off the old stuff and enjoy the new, ya gotta have a lil taste of the old.
The people who write this show are morons and genius's at the same time. You really can't make this up.
The Count of Monte Cristo (2002)
One of my favorite movies
A beautiful movie about revenge. Every part of the movie is great. The prison part really prepares you for the later half, and the later half is quite the treat.
The Book of Boba Fett: Chapter 3: The Streets of Mos Espa (2022)
Last week I got downvoted into the ground for saying this show seems weak, this week more people agree!
This show is quite lack luster. The fact that the first 3 have been like this means it's unlikely to improve though at this point, I'm optimistic becasue I watch each week expecting to be bored. Again not bad, just boring. Like, very boring. That's my issue, there's no drive, no reason, no motivation. Just random story and cool characters. That doesn't make a good show though!
Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021)
Loved seeing it, objectively was fine
Some stuff felt weird and I enjoyed watching it. Lord of stuff was over the top and honestly Tobey was unsatisfying. Andrew Garfield was the best part of the movie. Jamie fox shouldn't play a villain, he seems too nice. Lizard and sandman weren't done justice. Doc oc and green goblin were the best but I can't remember if the green goblin was that over the top. Fine movie, fine ending, #MTAS3.
The Matrix Resurrections (2021)
A lot of random weird stuff but I didn't hate it
I hated some of the recasting but I get it. The action was decent and the story somehow didn't bore me. I went in thinking it was going to be absolute garbage so maybe that helped. I walked out happy I saw it. Objectively a 6/10.
The Book of Boba Fett: Chapter 2: The Tribes of Tatooine (2022)
I don't think it's a 1 but I have to offset
Please try to understand where I'm coming from. I just don't get this show. I loved the Mandalorian, I have loved a lot of stuff that's been coming out recently. But this just doesn't seem that exciting. I don't really like the sand people story too much, I wish his survival story was a bit better. I don't need action, I just want a decent story. Boba Fett has never had a real personality until this show but I expected him to be a bit more ruthless like he "seemed" in the original trilogy. He just seems like a nice guy, making his way around. Also a lot of the dialogue and the thrown scenes are cheesy. It feels sort of like it's meant to be satire.
This will probably get downvoted until the ground, but for some reason this one just doesn't excite me, and I've seen lots of great show and movies that are rated 7 and higher but an 8.1 for this show seems a little high. Star Wars is great but at this point I think I might just be a fan-service-aholic. I know for a fact season 2 of mando WAS NOT as good as season 1. But I loved is so much more. I am trying to watch this and enjoy it and I will continue too, but I'm just no pulled in! Ow that his backstory is done maybe I'll enjoy it more. If you took him out and put obi-Wan in his position I'd probably like it a lot more so i'm showing doing the best to show my bias. I'd give it like a 4 so far honestly but I have to vote 1 to try and make it so other people aren't as disappointed, this should at least be rated a mid to low 7 objectively speaking.
Rick and Morty: Rickmurai Jack (2021)
Best episode yet
Great cannon and finally evil morty again. I'm excited and confused as to where the show will go from here. Evil morty got what he wanted so I don't know what more needs to be done.
Rick and Morty: Amortycan Grickfitti (2021)
I miss the morty ad Rick dynamic
The first 2 episodes were great, the third one was fun, but the last two weeks have sucked. I don't get why there hasn't been an actual Rick and morty adventure because I don't count last week. I don't even know which storyline was better this week, the classic and kinda repetitive and boring jerry trope or ricks spaceship kidnapping his grandchildren. I guess I'd say that car part was more interesting but not by much. Morty has been the highlight of this season but the writing of Rick has been a bit underwhelming.
