No One Will Save You (2023)
No One Should Watch This
This reminded me of the Twilight episode "The Invaders". Only way worse! A woman lives alone, and no dialogue has been done before and people would be better off with the Twilight Zone than this mess. The filmmaker had no interest in explaining the alien invasion.which may have helped pique one's interest in.science fiction and horror. The extraterrestrial beings looks are familiar. It portrayed them as vicious fighters, but the 20-something lonely girl living alone turns into a super action fighter and does damage to her invaders. It made them appear weakly which threw me off. Being hard of hearing, I watched this with closed captions which mostly read 'alien chitters' 'Brynn gasps', etc. There's nothing to read here, hear here, or see here. The three stars are for Kaitlyn Dever who did a fine job with what little she had to work with.
The Traitors: The Reunion (2023)
A Waste of Time
I was looking forward to the reunion show, but this was extremely boring. It turned into the Andy Cohen and Kate Chastain Show,. The episode was very slow, and there was very little involvement with many of the guests. I would have liked to have seen Alan Cummings asking the questions and believe that would have made a big difference in being successful. Although I will continue to watch The Traitors, I will be skipping the reunion episodes. There isn't much more to say except for the fact I would skip this episode unless you want to hear about who had babies and what clothes people are wearing.
Unfaithful: Caught in the Act (2022)
The Worst Show...
...I've seen in a long time. I was looking forward to this show because it sounded like Cheaters. It didn't take long to see that the show was scripted. The storylines are so poorly written that the actors struggled to make it believable. They failed miserably! You start out laughing at the bad acting, and then say "enough is enough". My wife and I couldn't watch anymore and finish the first season. It's hard to believe there is going to be a season two. Maybe, they learned something from the poor reviews from other reviewers and will look into doing episodes with real people caught in the act.
Spook Show 17 (2022)
Robbie brings a 10 rating down to an 8
When the show focuses on the builds, creative processes, and in delivering a haunting experience, the Spook Show 17 shines and would be a 10. The show's downfall is Robbie's ranting with his wife. His behavior towards his wife during filming leaves me wondering what he's like off-camera. She busts her ass managing the business end and I don't think Robbie could pull it off without her.
The haunts were worth seeing, thanks to the extremely skilled crew that constructed the rooms. These people are unwavering in their commitment to ensuring customers get their money's worth. If I ever find myself in the area, the 17th Door is a must-visit for me..
Next season, please focus on crew interviews and Heather, and minimize Robbie's (the angry one) involvement.

Smile (2022)
No scares here!
I watched this based on reviews that stated Smile was scary. Where were the scares? I started falling asleep watching this boring film. So did my wife. The only scares came from the loud music blasting and her stupid phone constantly ringing. Maybe people were scared of a creepy smile. Well, that happened a couple of times so if that works for you, enjoy! A predictable plot with a very predictable ending. I had hoped there would be a decent scare or even a decent story. This film failed at both. I see more poor reviews coming in and wanted to add my two cents to help other viewers seeking horror.
The Black Phone (2021)
Would give 0 stars if I could
What a waste of 103 minutes! There was no horror in this film. There are no thrills. The best part of the film is the trailer. Watch the trailer and save yourself the frustration. Ethan Hawke was wasted as an actor and may be on the screen for a total of15 minutes. The rest of the actors/stars were awful. Almost stopped watching after the first 30 minutes but then Ethan Hawke appeared and I thought things would pick up - wrong!
Shock Docs: The Curse of Lizzie Borden (2021)
Dave has lost all his credibility with me
In my opinion, this team of paranormal 'experts' was a joke and Dave came off as a drama queen. This episode had very little to do with Lizzie Borden and turned into a poorly acted seance, demon hunting, and spirit writing. I won't spoil it with the details and let you decide if the conclusion of The Curse of Lizzie Borden came to fruition.
