A Rainy Day in New York (2019)
A New Low
KUDOS, however, go to Selena Gomez and Cherry Jones for being such natural personalities.
I think this rates as one of the worst written, acted and directed film I've ever sat through. (Exhaustion from a big day, and husband felt too invested to turn it off.)
Woody missed a prime opportunity to do over-dubbing for 3 of the neurotic characters. He simply injected his own usual whiny nebbishes into Griffin Newman, Timothée Chalamet and Jude Law - turning (the latter 2) otherwise charming and self-possessed men into well - Woody Allens.
So many talented people. So many ways their director directed them clear of continuity, timing, depth ... but I liked the ending.
Lost Treasure (2003)
Woof
The writing was puerile and run of the mill, the director should have flogged. But Steven Baldwin was understated and came across very naturally - there's that.
