Un triomphe (2020)
Theatre and freedom!
A must see movie involving a range of emotions and qualities; funny, touching, suspenseful, dramatic, ... liberating!
It demonstrates the importance of art in everyday life, the importance of theatre and acting, especially when you deel or are shackled, enclosed, devalued.
The end was most fitting!
Shame it is not a popular one.
Un triomphe!
"One day, is that not enough for you, one day he went dumb, one day I went blind, one day we'll go deaf, one day we were born, one day we shall die, the same day, the same second, is that not enough for you?" "I'm going." Samuel Beckett, Waiting for Godot.
Only Lovers Left Alive (2013)
Only Boredom Left alive
The plot far below mediocre with a host of possibilities left untapped.
The expression of emotions (e.g. The depressive protagonist): simplistic and monotonous.
The content of dialogues: meaningless apart from one or two points.
The philosophical undertaking of concepts (such as Eros): non-existent, had to struggle even to make hypotheses.
The only interesting part was the presentation of certain objects and figures.
Overall, a waste of time.
Everything Goes (2004)
Everything is subjective
Realistic and unrealistic. Funny and serious. Spontaneous and planned. Plain and complicated. Bitter and sweet. Melancholic and cheerful. Passionate and apathetic. Shattering. Everything comes and everything goes.
A departure, some alcohol, destruction, young love, adventure and curiosity, a different night, the awakening, continuation, and what if? A short film that has little to say and plenty to show.
I have been looking for this short film for months. But as some wise people say, when you seek you do not observe, and when you do not observe you do not find. It was much easier than that. If you still are in search of it you can follow this link: https://vimeo.com/78323250
