Star Wars: Episode IX - The Rise of Skywalker (2019)
entertaining
The bottom line is that it wraps up an entire story arc. Depending on whether you like story or entertainment, may determine how you like the movie. But I must recommend seeing all 8 before watching, then it works as probably the best finale.
Zeruda no densetsu: Kaze no takuto (2002)
Cool
This is a cool follow up to Zelda considering it took place after ocarina of time. Gamecube is one of the best nintendo systems, especially since they now have the Ocarina of Time on it. This game has better enemy AI however cause they can fall then get back up again and attack you, what they don't do in ocarina of time. I hope gamecube is something that can live on forever. Not all games may be worth it but only one game alone can make you never want to get rid of the system. I already know I won't. I haven't made it that far into this game but I already know it will go beyond expectations, especially since I read that the final fight requires teamwork to complete.
28 Days Later... (2002)
ho ho hum
starts out a good movie but was a letdown after the first 10 minutes. I could sleep well during it. Those who like zombie flicks might enjoy it but for horror fans, you probably won't be too happy. I would recommend resident evil more than this. I'd like to see how its trilogy will develop.
The Others (2001)
wow this is up there with the sixth sense
This was quite a good movie with a sixth sense aura to it. Nice intriguing story with clues leading up the the ultimate shocker just like in the sixth sense. I thought it was a little scarier than the sixth sense. Since the sixth sense got a couple academy awards, i thought this should have too. Worth watching.
9/10
Battlefield Earth (2000)
Oh man what was this.
Wow, this was a big let down. I saw it because the previews looked good but they really dropped the ball with this sci fi flick. Lots of the scenes were totally fake and the visual effects were too cartoonish. I haven't even seen this movie on the market much at all, wouldn't surprise me either because nobody that I know of has any interest in it. You could try watching it once but you may end up spitting.
The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers (2002)
If there was a spotlight for all time movie reviews it would be this trilogy-to-be-one film
I have to say this film starting with the fellowship was incredibly well made. I know Titanic received 11 awards but I think this whole trilogy should receive 15. This intro to the trilogy was extremely in depth and even had the best prologue ever. I enjoy being introduced to the characters and thier origins and learning about the history of the one ring and how it does evil upon middle earth even after Sauron's death. Be patient with the action as is picks up as the trilogy's story unfolds. It all depends on what you see movies for. But this whole trilogy has quite a bit of everything. That alone surpasses all movies.
10/10 (actually more than that)
The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King (2003)
The best
Okay now this final version of the trilogy could not be any better. The previous two towers may have been a small battle. But what we have here is a world war involving hundreds and thousands of beings. I loved every moment of the film and could watch it every day. What I did miss about the trilogy are the extended versions of the films. I desperately want to own the whole extended set upon the release of the Return of the King and take the whole thing with me when i die and go to heaven. Those who have seen the trilogy I'm sure are obsessed with it and won't let it go. Especially those who like action, as this involves the most characters on screen during the siege of gondor and the ultimate battle on the fields. I'm sure the trilogy will win the most awards. It better
Way over 10/10
The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring (2001)
the start to the epic trilogy for all life
This was a great introductory film for the Lord of the Rings Trilogy that introduces the main characters in the Fellowship and their origins. This is also the film where we see about half of Middle Earth to the point where the group parts ways at the crossroads to Rohan and Gondor. A bit slow at times, but the acting and scenery are magnificant and the films mix with horror, action, romance, drama, fantasy, eye candy, war, and mystery. This may be the least of the 3 films and its still a good ten out of ten.
The Matrix Revolutions (2003)
Now this is a conclusion with a bang
Volume 2 of the Matrix's main story is the ultimate defense of Zion. After finally discovering what they must do to stop the war, Zion defends themselves in an explosive battle until the objective to stop the war has been completed. Lots of bullets, explosions and destruction keep you from wanting to go to the bathroom. Neo's powers are finally put to the test as he is "The One to stop the machine war.
SPOILERS Smith has escaped the Matrix and his real self is now in the machine world, which is what NEO discovers, and the clones are just copies that allow himself to grow more powerful and also to fool the rebellion about his true self. Neo must travel to the machine world where he resides where he now has hyper telekenitic moves that ultimately kills Neo, but Neo still manages to destroy him before he dies.
Overall, blows the other two films out of the water and the other two films were meant to lead up to this point.
10/10
The Matrix Reloaded (2003)
Quite Good
This was probably just as good as the first one. More special than visual effects this time. This was actually the first volume of the main Matrix storyline, which is the human race figuring out how to prevent their oppressors from destroying all of them after they've attempted to overthrow the atrificial life form, which they nearly did in the first.
(Spoilers). But not quite... Smith has only been deleted not destroyed, then he reloaded himself as copies that allows him to grow stronger for each clone he creates.
But anyways, the wall to wall action was entertaining and I enjoyed seeing how the story unfolded.
8/10
The Matrix (1999)
good
Ok this movie and the Lord of the Rings are my top two Sagas because they open and close like they should end..unlike Star Wars that doesn't really have an unfolding story other than the life of Anakin Skywalker. I this first Matrix, Neo is trained of his ways when he discovers that he is The One with the powers to overthrow the machines that rule over the human race. Has some action but mostly computer generated visuals. Worth a look.
