Collateral (2004)
IT'S GONNA BE A LONG NIGHT.
6 August 2004
The most interesting story I've seen in years. Tom Cruise makes his performance has a no feeling contract killer, who half of the time shows his likable side, quite watchable. The film is dark and edgy. It starts out with Max(the ever so talented Jamie Fox) a happy go lucky cab driver. Who after having an amusing ride with a beautiful lawyer(Jada Pickett Smith). Picks up Vincent(very well acted By Tom Cruise) and drives to his stop, but Vincent offers Max 5 thousand dollars, to drive him to a few stops. But when someone turns up dead at one of the stops. Max soon discovers that Vincent is a hitman, and thus begins a night where you fear that you may not see tommorow. An enjoyable thriller. Jamie Foxx was great, and so was Tom Cruise. An intense film with it's share of humor. Tom Cruise was a good bad guy.

Take a break from your hecktic work life, and see this film and laugh your head off.
6 August 2004
This movie is enjoyable only if you don't try to take it seriously. It was bust a gut laughs from start to finish. Next to DodgeBall, I would say this was tied as the funniest film of 2004. It starts out with Harold(John Cho) an overworked and very passive guy, who has a crush on the beautiful Maria(Paula Garces, remember her from ClockStoppers and T.V.'s Guiding Light). Harold has a best friend and roomate named Kumar(Kal Penn) who rather be stoned, then get a job. One night decide to go to White Castle fast food place. Then begins an unenjoyable night, where thing that could go wrong, really do. That is all I'm gonna say. Get ready to laugh your head off. It was quite edgy. But for some people, don't see it, if you get easily affended.

THIS MOVIE REALLY LAYS AN EGG.
25 July 2004
I'd rather sit through Lizzie Mcguire and Sleepover 300 times, then sitting through this again. I seem to be getting annoyed with Hilary Duff, because she does'nt seem to be taking many chances with her movie roles, so far in every movie she is in, she seems to be playing the same type of character, I'm not saying she does'nt have any talent,But I hope in time she will grow more has an actress. And what the heck is Chad Michael Murray is doing in this. He is a talented actor, but his talent is wasted in this. And Jennifer Collidge and the wicked stepsisters were more annoying then funny. Regina King seems to bring some light into this show, has Duffs sort of fairy godmother. Other then that this movie was a total bore, with 3 percent laughs. I was really praying for this movie to end. Go see Sleepover instead.

Catwoman (2004)
Halle Berry is the cats meow.
25 July 2004
First she was Storm from X-Men and it's sequel, now she is Catwoman. It is basically seems like Spider-Man meets The Crow. Where the action seems about has intense has The Matrix, Spider-Man, and Blade. The famous Batman villian now has a story of her own. But not from Batmans story, it is an all new Catwoman. The story evoles around Patience Phillips(Halle Berry) is killed by her bosses wife(Sharon Stone) when she unwittingly overhears something she was not supposed to. While her dead body is lying in the mud, a magical cat brings her back to, and passes its power on to her. Now crime has a new enemy, and her name is Catwoman. It comes in second place has the best superhero movie, while Spider-Man 2 is still the lead. Halle Berry was awesome in the lead. So was Benjamin Bratt and Sharon Stone. And Alex Borstein(Family Guy) keeps the humor at a float has Berrys friend. Do I smell sequel, I hope so.

I, Robot (2004)
QUITE AN EXCITING RIDE.
18 July 2004
A cool new look in the future, of the possiblity that how robots could be our friends. This film takes place in the year 2035, Detective Del Spooner(the ever so impersive Will Smith) has a personal hatred for robots, that came from a tragedy, which is now become a waking nightmare he can't seem to wake up from. Then he ask to come at a crime scene where a friendly robot scientists(James Cromwell) died from fallen from a high story building. Some say he commited suicide. But Del believes he was probably thrown. When Del catches a robot running from the scene. He soon believes that robot killed him. But everybody says the robots are our friends. Has he begins to investigate, to many turns begin to unravil. A really good sci-fi thriller. It is more then a action flick, it is also a conspiracy movie. Awesome effects and action. And terrific acting by Will Smith. Please you won't be dissapointed.

Sleepover (2004)
Sleepover was amusing, but that is not saying much.
9 July 2004
Think of Ferris Bueller's Day Off and Adventures In Babysitting mixed together and you got Sleepover. Young kids may want to see this because of Alexa Vega of Spy Kids fame. But this is not for young kids under 14. Alexa Vega is going quite well from quite kid to beautiful teenager. She is up there with Lindsay Lohan, Amanda Bynes, and Hilary Duff. This story starts out with Julie(Alexa Vega) and her friends, have a sleepover in a celebration of there last day Junior High. While there are having the time of there life. They all getting a sudden visit by the school mean girl named Staci(Sara Paxton) who presents them with a little scavenger hunt. With Staci and her gang. And thus begins a night of moments of misadventures. Enjoyable to say the least. It is basically up there with Mean Girls and New York Minute. This movie is just for pure enjoyment. But it is not still not for kids under 14.

Spider-Man 2 (2004)
Spider-Man spins his web and delivers another hit.
2 July 2004
What made Peter Parker/Spider-Man so interesting is that he was a superhero with everyday problems, that is why some of the comic book readers can relate to him so well. The movie takes place with Peter Parker(Tobey Maguire) who has trouble keeping a job, his grades in college are declining, and has trouble keeping up with Mary Jane Watson(Kirsten Dunst). And why, because he is off saving the city from criminals has the web slinging Spider-Man. The pressure of it all begins to catch up with Peter Parker and decides to retire from being Spider-Man. Meanwhile Dr. Otto Octaivus(Alfred Molina) experiment with fusion and mechanical arms go awry. And becomes Dr. Octapus. And begins to cause mayhem in the city. Will Peter stop him in time? A truly great superhero film. It really shows that being a superhero is'nt fun and games at all. James Franco, Kirsten Dunst, and Rosemary Harris(Aunt May) all give awesome performances. But it is Tobey Maguire's performance that was good he makes it allmost tearjerky. So does Alfred Molina has the villianous and tourterd Doc Oct, he was almost has memorable Willem Dafoes Green Goblin.

Get ready to DODGE, and have fun.
25 June 2004
This movie has brief gross gags, funny one liners, that would make you bust a gut laughing. Also surprise guest stars that would make your eyes bug up. Do not take this movie seriously, if you do then you'll have problems. It all starts with Peter LaFLeur(Vince Vaughn) the owner of The Average Joe's gym, who finds out he must a five thousand dollar loan, or the crazy moronic owner of Global gym who is named White Goodman(the very funny Ben Stiller) will take control of all of it. Just when Peter nearly decides to throw in the towel. One of his friends thought maybe they should enter a Dodgeball tournament. But White Goodman and his team are entering also. Former Dodgeball champion(Rip Torn) offers to train them. The funniest movie I've seen in a while, I don't think I've laughed so hard since Kung Pow. For viewers I'll say one thing, sit back laugh and have fun.

Something the Lord Made (2004 TV Movie)
The best T.V. movie around.
23 June 2004
A truly great T.V., it had fine acting, and fine scenery. Based on true events, Set in the 30's and 40's. Vivian Ward(Mos Deff) becomes the personal carpenter to Dr. Alfred Blalock(Alan Rickman). But has time goes on Dr. Blalock discovers Vivians talent for medicine. And makes him his asistant in the lab. It's a good thing for Vivian who is trying to make ends meat for his wife(Gabrielle Union) and children. Vivan becomes an important asistant for Alfred Blalock, back then when black folks did'nt get big jobs, other then being servants. But the two soon half too put there heads together. In hopes to save an infants life, who suffers from a bad heart. Mos Deff and Alan Rickman gave fine performances. So does the rest of the cast. A truly great film of its time.

If you like check you brains at the door sci-fi action, then you'll love this one.
19 June 2004
First there was Mad Max and Snake Pliskan, now Riddick is taking the helm has the anti hero of the future. This movie had the most awesome effects that makes it almost seems like a mixture of Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, and The Matrix. Vin Diesel seems to be the only one alive through out this whole picture, everybody else is not givin much of anything, neither is Judi Dench or Thandie Newton. Set five years after Pitch Black. Riddick(The awesome Vin Diesel) successfully escapes a bounty hunter, and goes to a planet where he meets up with the holy man(Keith David), and discovers an alien race is bent on making slavery out of humanity, can Riddick defeat before it's too late. If you loved Pitch Black then love this one. It almost makes you hope there will be another Riddick film, because the movie ends with you wanting more.

New York Minute (I) (2004)
More enjoyable then I expected.
18 June 2004
I thought this movie was gonna be has dumb as its tittle. And the Olsen twins were gonna make it real silly to sit through. But I was proven wrong, it was very funny movie. Silly slapstick, and funny one liners. The Olsen twins have really grown up, and they were so good, there like Lindsay Lohan spilt into two different people. Two twins(Mary Kate and Ashley) have nothing in common, except they look alike. Go to New York, One is going to make a speech at an convention, and the other is ditching school to go a rock concert. But things don't go so well when they unwittingly get mixed in a smuggling ring, and a school officer(the very funny Eugene Levy) is hot on there trail. Enjoyable to say the least. The plot almost seems similar to Ferris Bueller Day Off(1986) but who cares it was still an enjoyable movie. Eugene Levy almost steals the movie.

Step aside Scooby Doo, because Garfield is taking the helm.
17 June 2004
A very amusing film taking of the comic book strips. Although Breckin Meyer and Jennifer Love Hewitt seem affective in there roles. It is Bill Murray that takes the whole thing has the voice of Garfield. Bill Murray taking over for the late Lorenzo Music, who was also the voice Peter Venkman in the Ghostbusters cartoon show, a role that Bill Murray played in and its sequel. Jon Arbuckle(Breckin Meyer) and his lazy fun cat named Garfield(very well voiced by Bill Murray) seem quite happy in there contemped life. Jon then tries to impress a beautiful vet(The beautiful Jennifer Love Hewitt), who gives him a dog, and decides to name it Odie. But it causes a rift in Garfields corner. Who feels his contemped life is going up the hill. Garfield is great CGI. The movie is meant to be great fun, nothing more or less.

Raising Helen (2004)
Have fun raising Kate Hudson.
16 June 2004
A fun lighthearted movie for the summer, if you want to take a break from action movies and see something that is more blissful family fun. Then check this one out. It starts with Helen Harris(well acted by Kate Hudson) who lives a very care free lifestyle, she also works for a fashion agency. But her fun lifestyle is suddenly taken a back seat, when her sister and brother in law are tragically killed in a car crash. Another surprise for Helen comes forward when she has to be a mother to her sisters three kids. Much of the dismay of her other sister(also well acted by Joan Cusack). Helen soon discovers that her lifestyle is gonna half to change. A fun movie, that is more watchable then Cheaper By The Dozen. Finally a movie for Kate Hudson and son to sit through together.

Van Helsing (2004)
If Blade and The Punisher had the same father, it would be Van Helsing.
7 May 2004
They just turned the infamous vampire hunter into a comic book like character. An awesome movie, where most of the dialoge is mostly annoying to listen to. But it's the action and the special effects that seem to make up more that. Van Helsing(Hugh Jackman) is a monster hunter, who works for a secret order by the church. Is asked to travel to a different country, to fight a vampire menace named Dracula(Richard Roxburgh), and he teams up with another vampire hunter(Kate Beckinsale) in hopes of destroying this menace of evil. An enjoyable film, Hugh Jackman and Kate Beckinsale have incredible chemistry. It's like this movie was homage to those monster movies of 30s and 40s. It was quite an enjoyable ride.

The Punisher (2004)
IT'S NOT REVENGE, IT'S PUNISHMENT.
2 May 2004
This marvel comic hero is for adults. Unlike Spiderman and The Incredible Hulk, The Punisher is not a superhero, he has super skills in weapons and fighting. I wonder if The Punisher was inspired from Dirty Harry or Charles Bronsan's character from Death Wish. The story starts out with FBI agent Frank Castle(Thomas Jane who looks about has buffed as Vin Diesel) on his last case that in which results in a shoot out. Although Frank comes out okay, one of them ends up dead. Who is the son of Howard Saint(Awesomingly well played by John Travolta) who is the biggest crime boss since Al Capone. Has Frank settles into retirement with his wife and son. Howard Saint and his wife sends a bunch of professinal killers after Frank Castle. When Franks wife and son are killed, now Howard Saint will soon have a new enemy and his name is THE PUNISHER. I first thought Thomas Jane would be all wrong for the role, but he proved me wrong. He played it perfectly. So does John Travolta as Howard Saint, the most sadistic bad guy since his role in Broken Arrow. It almost tries to be witty has Kill Bill. It may have borrowed a little from Mad Max. But still an awesome movie. And It is not for kids.

Mean Girls (2004)
Keep your friends close, keep your enemies closer.
30 April 2004
In her last two films Fraky Friday and Confessions Of A Teenage Drama Queen, Lindsay Lohan in both movies kept crossing paths with a mean girl. But it was'nt the bases of those movies. But in this one it is pretty much the whole movie. An appealing film of certain games that teenagers play on one another, and sometimes comes out with disastrous results. The film starts out with Cady(Lindsay Lohan) is going to a real high school, after years of being homeschooled in Africa. Cady does'nt quite fit in. Until The most popular girls in school known has The Plastics take an interest in her. They are Karen(Amanda Seyfried) who is about a dumb has a brick. Gretchen(Lacey Chabert) who lets her overeagerness get the best of her. And there is Regina(Rachel McAdams) who is the girl we really love to hate. When they ask Cady to join them, everything seems to be going well, but then things go wrong when Cady starts liking an ex-boyfriend of Regina. And when Regina shuns Cady at a Halloween party. Cady soon embarks on a mission to take down The Plastics one by one. But will she become as bad has they are. An enjoyable funny tale of High School life. It may appear to be like another Heather(1989), but it is not really as dark. It's a funny realistic look at life in High School. Lindsay Lohan and Rachel Mc Adams where both quite affective in there roles, and the rest of the cast performs well also. An enjoyable time.

QUENTIN TARANTINO KNOWS HOW TO DELIVER.
29 April 2004
Kill Bill was supposed to be one film, but Quentin Tarantino felt the was movie to long, so split the movie into two volumes. If it was just one movie, it probably would have been as long has Lord Of The Rings. This movie is very different from Vol. 1. Has the bride(Uma Thurman) slowely closes in on Bill(well acted by David Carradine). Mr. Tarantino pays homage to more of the 70's, if you look carefully at a few idems. In the first Bill was just voice off camera, but in this one he is front and center. Michael Madsen was also good(his character was about has sadistic as Mr. Blonde was from Reservoir Dogs). Daryl Hannah was also good has one eyed killer. To the viewers if you loved Vol.1, then you will love Vol.2.

Man I'm sorry, I missed this in theaters.
28 April 2004
This movie had it all, great action, great characters, and it was very visual, and it was very violent. But hay it's Quentin Tarantino. I always like the way in almost all his films he pays homage to the 70's. And this film was no exception. Check out an certain outfit Uma Thurman wears. This is Quentin Tarantinos homage to those 70's martial arts movies. It starts a former pregnant hitwoman(the lovely Uma Thurman) wants to settle down and get married. But her wedding turns into a bloody shoot out, by her former employer named Bill(the well spoken David Carradine) and his group of killers(Vivica A, Fox, Lucy Lu, Michael Madsen, Daryl Hannah). Has four years pass, and she awakens, and will go on a quest making sure they will all suffer for what they did to her. The best film I've seen in a while. It also had witty dialoge, the way Taratino knows how to deliver. It also tries not to be a simple revenge story. It goes in depth of the characters drive. Make way for Vol. 2

It's BIG meets BLAST FROM THE PAST.
23 April 2004
Or you can think of it has Peggy Sue Got Married in reverse. A funny lighthearted tale that can remind you be careful what you wish for. It starts out in 1987, on her 13th birthday Jenna Rink(Christa B.Allen) is embarressd by some popular kids, Her friend Matt gives her some wishing dust. And she wishes to be thirty, flirty, and thriving. The next day it's 2004, and Jenna is thirty years old(Jennifer Garner), and she must do some catching up, because she is the editor of a magazine company named Poise. She also meets up with her now grown up old friend Matt(Mark Ruffalo). Jenna is pretty much a teenager trapped in a grown womens body. It was pretty entertaining, I think Tom Hanks performance in Big was a little better, not that Jennifer Garner is a bad actress. It is just that she just went for giggles and being cute. Tom Hanks in Big was going for laughs, but I think he tried to be believable in his role, has a kid trapped in a mans body. But none the less still a cute movie. In my opinion, Christa B.Allen who plays young Jenna, looks more like Hilary Swank, then Jennifer Garner. But Hilary is just as pretty as Jennifer.

Miracle (2004)
The true event that made you believe in a miracle.
11 April 2004
Not since Rudy, there has been a sports movie that touches our heart so much. It takes us back to 1979, where Herb Ross(Terrificly well acted by Kurt Russell) is picked to coach a U.S.A. hockey team to play the undefeted Russia. To do so, he must esemble a team of eager young men, and put them through a grueling practise. Has he tries to show them, that hardwork will pay off in the end. This was the best sports movie I've seen so far. Not just the hockey scenes, but the actors themselves seem to give great performance, even Kurt Russell, who I thought did'nt just act the part, he became Herb Ross. I hope he gets nominated for an oscar. A truly great film about a true event.

Topher Grace steals this movie.
6 April 2004
If there was a Win a Date with Alicia Witt contest back in 1996, I would have tried to enter, I doubt I'd win. This was an enjoyable comedy, where the actors are amusing to watch, and they all seem to be very relaxed in there roles. The story starts out with Rosalle Futch(Kate Bosworth) a small town girl with big dreams. Who has a big crush on matinee idol Tad Hamilton(Josh Dumel). One day sees on the computer a Win a Date with Tad Hamilton contest, and desides to enter. And suprisingly wins. She goes to hollywood, much to concern of her friend Pete(Topher Grace). Tad hopes to live down some bad press, by taking a fan out on a date. After the date went real well, Tad begins to miss Rosalle. And flys down to her small town, in hopes to pursuee a realtionship with her. That causes a rift in Petes corner, who has been in love with her since they first met. An amusing date film. That is pretty laugh out loud funny. Topher Grace may not be dashingly handsome like Dumel. But he has comic talent that keeps the movie on its toes. Any scene he's in, he pretty much steals the moments from Kate Bosworth and Josh Dumel. I'd recommend this one.

Not as good has the first two, but fair.
6 April 2004
The first two, seem to be on a good laugh track. This one did allright, but without Burt Reynolds in the title role a little bit of the magic seem to be gone, but in a way it gave some of the characters a chance to shine. Bufford T. Justice(always the very funny Jackie Gleason) and his son Junior(who seems to be born with no free will of anything), take a bet with Enos Burdette that he could'nt drive a restaurant fish across state lines. In hopes to distract him, he would half to call on the Bandit, but with the Bandit moved and married to Carrie/Frog(just a guess). He asks his good ole friend Cledus(the impressive Jerry Reed) to don the Bandit outfit and the car. And Cledus picks up a disgruntled commercial worker(Colleen Camp). It almost seems like a recycled plot of the original. Although the jokes were allright, and the chase scenes were pretty cool. It still was'nt as good has the first two.

Taking Lives (2004)
Allright, but not great.
2 April 2004
Warning: Spoilers
Angelina Jolie and Ethan Hawke seem to be quite affective in there roles. While I'm watching this movie I can't help but think, this seems to like a mixature of The Silence Of The Lambs meets The Talented Mr. Ripley. Yet another serial killer movie where the thrills seem to dissapear has the movie goes on. The movie starts out good, about a serial killer who takes his victims identities. The police call in FBI agent(Angelina Jolie) for help, with luck they find witness, an art dealer(Ethan Hawke). An allright thriller, but the suspence just simply vanishes has the movie lets on. And it simply becomes no mystery who the killer is. For viewers if you had'nt seen it yet. Go see Secret Window instead.

Hellboy (2004)
Within darkness a hero will emerge.
2 April 2004
Hellboy is so tough, I believe he can teach Mr.T a thing or too. Comic books have gone quite bonanza on the big screen, with Blade, X-Men SpiderMan, Blade 2, Daredevil, X-Men 2, The Hulk, and the soon to released The Punisher, and SpiderMan 2. It seems like comicbooks will live on forever in movies . Ron Perlman seems perfectly cast has Hellboy, who was born a demon, but raised by a government to be a good guy. He also has amazing powers, he has a Snake Pliskin like attitude. But an ancient evil wants Hellboy to create hell on earth. And what happens next will be the exciting part that I won't give away, you'll half to see the movie. Ron Perlman just became Hellboy when the cameras started rolling. I could'nt think of no one else who could be has good. And director Guillermo Del Toro(Blade 2) knows how to excite the audience. Please I hope there will be a sequel?

The sequel with heart.
1 April 2004
There are a real amount of bad reviews of this movie on the IMDB. Especially I WANTED TO KILL MYSELF AFTER SEEING THIS MOVIE, which I felt was a bit dramatic. But I liked this movie, it had great action, comedy, and it was quite heartwarming. Cledus and the bandit are appoarched to make another run. For 400 dollars there asked to deliver an elephant across country. Bandit who is still broken hearted after his break up with Carrie/frog almost a year ago. Bandit sees this oppurtunity to revive his image. Cledus asked Carrie to come along for the ride. But will sparks fly again for bandit and Carrie? And will sheriff Buford T. Justice and his simple minded son Junior catch them this time? A fun sequel, for whoever is a fan. Burt Reynolds, Sally Field, Jerry Reed, and Jackie Gleason know how to deliver the goods.
