Episode 5 is almost feature-length, with a runtime of 100 minutes. It's beautifully shot and rather cinematic, primarily focusing on supporting characters from the previous four episodes. It's so powerful that it reflects both societal issues and interpersonal relationships among those characters. With maybe 40 more minutes added to it, this could be a great feature film rather than a series. Lulu Wang definitely excels at making features, not so much for TV series as of now. The stories of these supporting characters from previous episodes are so much more interesting than the main story right now. Both excited and worried about the finale.

Probably should've been 7 or 8 episodes instead of 10

While the action pieces in Ep. 1-3, 9,10 are very much done in a top-notch with a sense of realism, the rest of the episodes feel rather dragging with nothing much happening throughout. It could've been more tensely packed rather than overly prolonged. Episode 4-6 pretty much involves too much emotional journey of the characters that seem to be relevant to the plot, but it's an action thriller at heart, so maybe it should've shortened those emotional struggle, and combine it more with the action rather than making them stand alone for long period of runtime. Overall, it has done a great job in telling the story, but it also feels like a finished ending.
